Garage revival was gonna happen anyway, but Rochester's Chesterfield Kings, Minneapolis' Hypsterz, and San Diego's Telltale Hearts were the first ones doing it, again. ;-)
Glad I finally got to see the Kings after all these years. Thanks Lil Steven
Hey dude,I've just come across these fellas yesterday! They do rock! Do you know much about them, they were first around in the 80's right? Would love to get hold of their albums, but like to get them in order! Do you know their first album?
The 'Kings formed in Rochester, NY, and released their debut single "I Ain't No Miracle" in '79.
After singer Greg Prevost and bassist Andy Babiuk cut their teeth in a number of local punk bands, they decided to fully devote themselves to the mid-60s sounds they'd always loved, singlehandedly inventing garage revival when everybody else was still dabbling into punk!!!
Their classic, 1st LP "Here Are The..." came out in 82, from then, it's been a non-stop succession of mindbending sounds!!!
