I have to correct that first statement. I live in Southeast Missouri. TRhe earthquake hat hit on April 18, 2008, hit at 4:37 A.M. it woke me up out of bed. It was NOT on the New Madrid Fault Line. It was along the Wabash Seismic Zone in Southern Illinois.
The New Madrid Seismic Zone is very prone to major seismic activity in the near future, It has NOTHING to do with praying, or prophecy.... Its geologicaly inevitable.... just as ICEburgs or glaciers move... so do tectonic plates, and when collision occours, you have earthquakes.... and the only place in the north american plate that provides relief of tension is the new madrid seismic zone!
