  • I love watching these vids... I made a playlist of all of em"... You are awesome dude. I use the same 3 gunpods too. I play this game all the time on my psp

  • epic voice

  • Did you know that you don't really have to dodge the Drache's purple laser gun (like at 5:59), because the Drache always aims about 2 feet below the manipulator arm. But it only works if you don't have a gunpod on the bottom (it'll hit the gunpod, and eventually break it, but he'll still miss). I'm not sure if this only works in the demo though...

  • Holy Butt Nuggets!! You made me subscribe just due to the epicness of this game!!

  • i used to find the big walking so hard and you beat him like it was nothing

  • this is an awesome game. love it.

  • As a german I find this game highly amusing. :D

  • The demo that I got with my first PSX, contained that very same level. I can't seem to do it without losing a life one time. My stratagy in that level is to adapt yourself. Why didn't you pick up a Riot, because you have to charge it for best results, which sucks?

  • Ah, Einhander, my all-time favorite console shmup (shoot-em-up) The difficulty was just right and the weapon pod thing was very innovative for its time. I might do an LP of this myself for nostalgia's sake

  • He looks like... eh.. ah... an elephant?

  • When I completed the game, I have a preference for the Endymion mark 3, due to the fact that pressing the gunpod button also fires the main gun.

    Vulcan+double main gun=pwnage

Also I didn't know that the Wasp would be so much better in the Old Town route rather than Spreader Shotgun that I used to use lol.

  • Juno+Flash on the Astera = pwng

  • and then you run out of ammo quickly XD

  • Juno+Flash on the SELENE is pwng!

  • good point

  • No way. Try TWO Flashes on the Selene. You'll beat the game and get almost every S-bonus in a few hours. Instant rape.

  • @MercilessOne lol thats what I used to do all the time

  • + infinite ammo of juno.....ahahaha...

  • Funny thing, when I was younger, I always heard the boss in the demo as "This is the one, who loves Evil and Evolution!" (All I ever played was the Demo.)

At least now I know it's German.

Got good at pounding the ever living daylights out of Drache though.

Love the Riot myself. Does damage right through armor. I believe if you save it for Drache, you can kill it without having to go through the skin at all. Really funny to see it dead before it even gets cranked up.

  • If you keep watching, you will find out.

  • hey ive played this games for years now and i can't get the python or misquito were do you obtaine those wepons

  • The mosquito is found on the fourth level immediately after the subboss. Destroy the very first crate you see. Its a spreader. Get it and equip it on top to shoot behind you. Now go down through the hole in the floor as low and as fast as you can. shoot the crate behind you which contains the mosquito.

the python is found on the 5th level. in the beginning, get a wasp. Just before you meet the subboss, you will see a vehicle in the background. shoot it with the wasp to obtain the python.

  • I remember playing the demo version of this game (basically just this first level) I never noticed they were speaking German, though...

  • Vorsicht!

    Wir werden die Einhänder vernichten!

  • Before watching this, I had no clue what the difference was between the blue and brown/green Drache, or that the Juno came on the blue one.

    Thanks for the info!

  • The reason there is an X-ray of a hand on the main menu screen is because during the development of the game one of the programers apparantly got fustrated for some reason and punched a wall. (I'm basing this from memory, sorry if it's off) So they put his x-ray in as a sort of bonus.

  • Seriously? Hahaha, that's awesome! :D

  • Well, I guess I was proven wrong. Sakimoto-san, the translation for the Drache "Entladen Sie Alle Ihre Waffen" was correct. I thought I heard Demontieren in the first part. I must've been hearing things. So my apologies.

  • No problem. That's one of the things I am actually right about with these translations. :)

  • Where did u get that game! I've been looked all over ages!

  • The internet is a fun place, filled with wonders beyond your wildest dreams. Indeed, sometimes, all you need to do is type in "einhänder +rom" in Google, and things appear! Imagine that!

Seriously. It's the first thing that appears when you search for it.

  • I've download it but they need a passphrase for the archirve...the one I download is Einhander.rar...the rest of the links I have to pay! Is there a freedownload or another way?Help me!

  • Sorry, I can't help you. I won't post a link to anything that is illegal - you'll have to find it yourself. Look, it really isn't that hard. If you have at least some knowledge of how torrents work, you can get this game (not that I'd advice you to download a ROM in the first place). If you have an archive that requires a password, odds are you'll find that password somewhere close to the download link.

  • I'll find the way and thanks...I'd played this game for ages^_*

  • Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for.

  • if you want the ultimate shoot em up. then thunder force 6 is your guide if you like vert shooting. then you should get radiant silvergun

  • When I first played this game, I thought the Mini Boss Greif said "I'll shoot your Mitch off!' was reffering to something innapropriate." But no.

  • Sakimoto-san! May I entitle to a correction. Entladen you put for "drop", well entladen translates unload. When I translated for the german phrase, I put in Dismantle all of your weapons and it gave me what I heard "Demontieren alle Ihre Waffen." That is what I heard.

  • Thanks for the correction!

I think I will have to remake this entire LP, due to some new info that I just got regarding the boss translations. If I do remake the LP, the translations will be far more accurate.

  • Well I had a thought about doing my LP soon but how can I record my gameplay with my PS Emulator. Currently I am trying to beat the game on Hard and I get so stuck in the Schwartzgeist level. I almost had it with the Astraea.

  • Sure, go ahead. Einhänder needs more attention, I think. You can use Fraps to record your emulator.

  • Did you use the videos with Fraps?

  • I used Fraps to record all the Einhänder videos, yes.

  • Oh, got it. But it is taking me more time to get the game beat. It's an assbeater while trying to beat Hyperion on Hard. Not only that, not dying in order to get a ship that loads you 9999 bullets. But hey, replay value.

  • Your translations in this part are all correct, it seems that u didnt exactly know what he said at 3:03, i'm helping you, he said "Lassen sie die Waffen fallen, sonst schießen wir dich ab", the translation was correct, the other stuff is alright. (I ignored now the small/captial letter stuff) xD

  • Ah, brilliant. I don't have the original videos left anymore, but I will add annotations when I have the time. :)

  • how hard is einhander?

  • As you can see in my Death Reel, it's fairly hard. Some of the later bosses are absolutely brutal. However, it's not THAT hard (Ikaruga, for instance, is a lot harder).

  • You speak english better than many people I know.

  • I am very, very flattered. I think my English is awful. =X

But seriously, thanks. I hope to improve and become even better.

  • Isn't it pronounced HONdur?

  • It certainly isn't. "Einhänder" is a German word, and even though I know you American people have never heard of the letter "Ä" before, it's pronounced somewhere between "A" and "E". If you pronounce the word "Einhondur" you're doing it wrong. :)

  • why do you find the spreader worthless? that thing killed a big enemy fast if your close

  • Indeed, but there are other weapons that are much more effective and more suited to my play style.

  • You subtitled what they said?!

As if I didn't have enough motivation to watch them all already.

  • Yay, more people who enjoy the result of my hard work! :D

Yes, I do my best to translate as much as I can make out from the garble. Sometimes I'm very sure, sometimes I'm guessing a bit. I'm glad you like it!

  • Aye...Guess Wat ??...Ther'z a JUNO IN DIZ LEVEL !!

  • Guess what? If you'd read the other comments, you'd know I already knew that.

  • k jus makin sure >D

u noe everythang about diz game ??

  • I'd say I know almost everything about this game, yeah. I've played it many times and the things I didn't know could be found on GameFaqs.

  • I noe evrythang, played it for mor den 10 yearz.....

You noe bout tha one and only Python ??

  • At first I was going to be a bit rude about your spelling, and then I saw that English isn't your native language. Sorry. :)

Yes, I know about the Python. Watch the other videos and you'll see.

  • you have 1 for every level ??, cuz in the related video area sometime the numbers skip....

  • It's a Let's Play, so I go through the entire game. If you go to my profile page, you'll see that I have a whole playlist devoted to Einhänder. Check it out. :)

  • yea it is a great game, very rare 2day, worth over $ 50

  • I can't find it for less than $100.

  • and i have it on my psp

  • would it be fun if einhander is a final fantasy summon?

  • maybe after you beat the game

  • I have to wonder how you get the Police Dragon's secret weapon?

BTW, I can't beat that secret boss...you owned him in around 10 flat!

  • Well, I didn't have the patience to show it happening, but all you have to do is wait a while (and get lucky) and he'll eventually start shooting at you with the Juno. You have to get the third S-bonus for that to happen, though.

And which boss do you mean? :)

  • The blue version of the first stage boss, The Drache.

  • Oh! Okay. Well, for the sake of doing a fluent LP of this I play on Easy, so I do have an easier time with him than normal.

For an easy win, blast him in the face with a cannon and then switch over to homing Wasps if the cannon runs out of ammo. Aim for his "head" and make sure he's flashing red. It shouldn't take too long.

  • I see.

And the reason I called the Blue Drache The Police Dragon is because his name (Polzei Drache) litterally means "police dragon".

  • Yeah, I know. I did try my best to translate as much as possible in this game. :) I didn't know he had "Polizei" in his name, though.

  • Actually, he has the word "Polizei" on his body armor...which explains it.

I saw it when I (accidentally) found this guy when I destroyed the Grief's bottom part, and saw his body armor. Typically got owned when I first met Police Dragon.

I guess I'm more used to playing against the original Dragon.

  • Oh, yeah. Both the blue Drache and the Greif have the word "Polizei" on them.

Also, I think it's incredible that you accidentally got the second S-Bonus in this stage (i.e. you shot the Greif's bottom part off)... if something kills me in the first levels, it's that. I just got incredibly lucky when I recorded (the Greif froze for several seconds for some reason).

  • Yeah. You'd think by the way the Grief moved, he was purposly trying to get headshot.

Also, it's possible to destroy his top half...but this still takes you on the regular path.

  • Yeah, he can die in several fun ways (kinda like the Garnele in stage 2). I wanted to show off all the S-Bonuses, though, so I went for the bottom half.

  • I see.

The speed deamon robot on Stage 2? I love that guy! He's so awesome to fight against, and I love how he malfunctions when you shoot off the inner armor of one of his hand. So awesome. My favorite mini-boss out of all of them.

  • Yeah, he is a really cool mini-boss. Unfortunately I owned his ass quite quickly... I would have loved to show when you blast all his parts off and he goes into a ring-of-fire-death-spin. ^_^

  • I always destroy every last one of his parts, then destroy one of his hands to make him do that. Too bad one time he eventually sped away and left me in the dust. (time out, which means no explosion...)

Mabye make an alternate video showing the alternate death of the stage 2 mini-boss? Also, if you destroy his left hand (the one farther from the screen), he malfunctions a little closer to the screen.

Also, his fight music is kickbutt. :D

  • I am already in the process of making a sort of behind the scenes blooper/death reel for this LP, so why not? I'll record the funny Garnele death as well. Should be fun. :D Thanks for the tip.

And yeah, the music there does kick a lot of ass. The whole soundtrack does, really.

  • Man, that is an awesome commercial for the gas mask...

  • Cool, you came and watched! I hope you're enjoying the LP thus far. And yes, it really is awesome. Imagine if normal television worked like that. "Live? DIE?! DRINK KOOL-AID. >=("

  • I could easily be convinced to drink Kool-Aid until I die. I think I've even done it before.

  • You know, if I ever get to the U.S. I'd really like to try Kool-Aid. I have to know what it tastes like!

  • Hey, how about doing a Lets Play: Custers Revenge next time :P

  • Oh, you did NOT just suggest that.

I hope you're doing good, by the way. :)

  • You sure didn't seem to "not be able to speak english" in this vid, so good job on that, lol. XD

  • Heh, thanks! Yeah, my English has improved a bit recently. Making these videos are really helping me out in that department. :) I hope you'll enjoy this LP.
