I do believe adding oil to the shampoo would be similar to the moisturizing shampoos out on the market. I love this recipe because you can combine so many things. If your that worried about fungus use rose water and tea tree oil instead and follow the instructions accordingly.

My english is really bad but i'll try and explain it as good as i possibly can. April? isn't using olive oil a bad idea since oil isn't water based? I mean, you would usually use shampoo to scrub into your hair and you scalp right? and since the oil isn't waterbased it would keep giving moisture to the scalp and create fungus and be really hard to get out aswell right?

it's different with hairmasks because you don't massage it into the scalp. Am I right?

@AprilAthena7 If you would add Vitamin E oil it would work great, I make hair and scalp masks with it and not only is my hair supper shiny but my skin feels great as well. It not for everyday use of course :) Maybe once every two weeks.

sounds nice but in all reality any shampoo that has sulfate is damaging to your hair because sulfate dry's out your hair and most soaps shampoo's if not all have sulfate in them it would be really awesome if you tried wen and did a review on wen a hair care cleaning products anyway still nice to see you trying as much as possible to go all natural.... :)

I would really break that recipe down and store it in the fridge, because there is no preservative added to it, it will see microbial growth..even if you added some vit e and some grapefruit seed extract it will help some but this will actually only be good for 3-4 days.

you should not use the shampoo after 3 days. because there are no preservatives in this shampoo. because of the high percentage of water(green tea), after few days the shampoo can be microbial contaminated. That can cause eye infection or it can be dangerous if you have any wound on your body.
