It's saying that tiny tiny tiny changes over millions of years produce new species. Think about it, your children don't look exactly like you. This is the same for animals. If you looked close enough you would notice that squirrels, fish, dogs, etc all have little differences about them like humans.
@starrice53 I study biochemistry and genetics and I have seen in the lab firsthand how life changes, it does adapt. It is a miracle indeed, just because we can explain it doesn't make it less miraculous. Darwin had plenty of fossil evidence and stratification of fossil layers to prove that species do change. We have proof now, we have formed new bacteria strains, modified plants, and even gave a cell all new DNA (completely manmade). Soon we too will probably create life from scratch.

@starrice53 You are welcome to believe that. Evidence suggests otherwise. Explain me this: if we dig into deeper layers of earth, we find more primitive organisms from top to bottom. We can date these layers through hundreds of accurate dating methods. This is real evidence. Not some nonsense book.
And yes, evolution is a relatively young theory. So is the theory of gravity, the theory of electromagnetism, the theory of relativity, the quantum field theory...

@starrice53 I too believe in a creator but evolution doesn't disprove God, nothing can. Evolution doesn't say that creatures can give birth to organisms different than themselves. It's saying that tiny tiny tiny changes over millions of years produce new species. Think about it, your children don't look exactly like you. This is the same for animals. If you looked close enough you would notice that squirrels, fish, dogs, etc all have little differences about them like humans.

@starrice53 I study biochemistry and genetics and I have seen in the lab firsthand how life changes, it does adapt. It is a miracle indeed, just because we can explain it doesn't make it less miraculous. Darwin had plenty of fossil evidence and stratification of fossil layers to prove that species do change. We have proof now, we have formed new bacteria strains, modified plants, and even gave a cell all new DNA (completely manmade). Soon we too will probably create life from scratch.

@demoskunk The light could have been produced from any atom any where, if a gamma ray hits it at the right spot, the electron is pushed away, and when the electron goes back into place, it exerts light. Using this we can assume God has control over matter+electrons (like duh). Notice that when seasons change, so do stars. And the moon doesn't produce light but stars do.

cover the earth. But after a molten hot earth cooled down

The world doesn't call Kent Hovind bad, the US constitution does.
And did you know: good and bad are just relative concepts. It varies from population to population and person to person. Writing it in a book doesn't make it a universal standard.

If the Bible gives hope to people, why take that away from them? I see no harm in it at all. Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?" Religion was merely a scape goat for not understanding our universe back in the ancient times where we couldn't even see neighbouring planets properly (They all looked blurry) and they didn't know of atoms and particles, because of mordern science it is being proven that whether or not a god does exist, it still may never be proven but with our knowledge of our universes behaviour expaning (much like the universe it's self) we can come to Hypothesis of what we conclude is true.

well how can the cosmos and galaxies form out of nothing with just an outburst of energy. to have energy you need mass we all know mass has energy. If you believe you are an animal why is it that only humans can use words, why don't we see rocks turn into fish and fish turn into reptiles and reptiles to monkeys.

That is all information that can be found in books. Take a basic anthropology or biology class, it will tell you. We may never know for sure how the universe was created, but saying god did it is a very primitive way of thinking. Why not believe in the sun god or Zeus or the thousnds of other gods that have existed?

Well in Isaiah 53 Isaiah prophesied about Jesus that he was pierced for man's transgretion of sins. And it describes when he was being killed. "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth" May I add that this book was written in 800 BC 800 years before Jesus was born

Uh... he did open his mouth... several times. Thats another thing, each gospel says different things on what Jesus said before he died. Which one is right? Probably none of them.

Is it possible that they were mistranslated? Over the thousands of years that they were being passed on and retold is it very likely that it remained the way it was? We don't know if they were changed or mistranslated or what. I know for fact that the bible was censored and edited to sound more family friendly.

And so your gonna believe scientists that make dieases and weapons and minipulates people in secrecy and the government protects them because they are the ones who tell scientists to do that. Secnond of all if you would read at least Mark 13 you would probabally say hmm that sounds alot like whats happening to day. Jesus says that you should separate yourself from the world

You know all these prophecies are so vague they can be interpretid in so many different ways and could apply to many different people.

What the hell does that mean? If it said, "Jesus will die on this date by this man", then I might sit up and listen.

If you believe in evolution how is it that you can write these things have you have written first and formost that was not the only thing that was prophesied about Jesus it was just an example. They prophesied about the son of man, son of God which is Jesus many times his birth place and many other things.

There are hundreds of people throughout almost every civilization saying someone is the son of god or the savior of man. Jesus is no different than any other of the false prophets. You just have to look at some of the ingenius ways they use tools. We evolved to have larger brains because we would lose in a fist fight with half the animal kingdom. We had to out-think our prey.

Well even if evolution were true, would'nt we all be the same. Because if all animals evolve and came from the same rock or whatever, would'nt we all be the same. There would not be any animals because they all evolved from whatever they were and how could they come out different in the first place. That's like saying when your parents when to Greenland and when your brother was born evolution made him a penguin to adapt to the cold i.e., an example.

Like most Christians you think that evolution happens in a very short time. It happens very very slowly. First you say all creatures should be the same, then you say about the penguin adapting to the cold. So you're right in that different environments create different creatures as they need to survive in what could be a very harsh climate. Put a penguin in the desert and it wouldn't live very long. Survival of the fittest and all that.
