India should have given him a chance in Test Match cricket as his batting record is much better in first class cricket than List A (One Day) cricket. But still wid a middle order consisting of Dravid,Tendu, Ganguly, Laxman. It was impossible for him to break through, now hes 35 and probably too old to enter the scene
