  • 0:31 where'd it go? 0:33 found it!!

  • Smash, I debated putting that in, I had grabbed the camera and shoved it between my legs to get the shot at the last minute, and found myself between gears approaching a stoplight which went green at the last minute. I do consider my clutchwork cruddy at best even so.

Reaper, I get 20-21 mpg on my commute loop, mostly highway in stop and go traffic.

Postersurf, maintenance is normal, but I had a BMW 3, so def. cheaper than that. Have 45K, gonna need brakes soon. Have winter and summer tires.

  • wow he sure does love that clutch. can't keep his foot off of it.

  • the challenger blew his socks off!!

  • Trying to decided between this or an srt8 should i spend the xtra 10k for the srt8 or buy an r/t?

  • @synchroman22 i personally wouldnt unless u can get an srt used with low miles for what ur willing to give for the r/t. ur just paying for the upgraded suspension handling and engine but if ur buyin new you can get the r/t track pack which upgrades all of that anyway except for the engine so it handles like the srt but with the r/t engine and superior mpgs. then take the remainder of what u would have spent and save it or give it some nasty upgrades and wake that beast up

  • I am working 11-13 hours a day saving up for this car, how many miles per gallon do you get? dealerships usually lie.

  • @reaperflynn3 ive heard of quite a few ppl getting as much as 25 mpg or so with the r/t 6 spd. dont know much about the auto though. the auto dosent come with a gas guzzler tax but the 6 spd does if ur buyin new

  • Whats the maintanence cost for u? Like oil changes, tires rotation & replacing, brakes, alignments, tune ups, etc. A lot of people buy cars & don't think about what it cost to maintain them. Is the Challenger maintanence low, high, or reasonable?

  • Rock on Raymond - Great job filming, hope to see more of Raymonds R/T work:)

  • @GEARC7 best comment, keeping d spirits of d kid up. luv that.

  • Awsome car bud, I'm planning on getting one in the near future same color but undecided about manual or automatic.

  • do you have upgraded headers or exhaust cause it sounds great

  • @LDAproductions22 That is bone stock, but I suspect it may be audio distortion on the camcorder, but I'll never know, I only hear it when I drive, and I'm the only on driving it. ;-)

  • @GEARC7

Thanks, I hope he takes an interest in filmmaking. It's a lot easier than my old Super 8 movie days.

  • so why does it have a 6 speed manual? the challenger has a bad handling suspension so it isn't really a track performance car (don't get me wrong i'd still totaly love to have one). usualy 5 gears is enough for just screwing around on road, like the mustang.

  • My truck is 21 speed and it doesn't do well in turn either..

  • Does your car have the Hemi tick? That's the only thing I'm worried about when I order my R/T.

  • My year old R/T is tick-free thankfully. My gearbox is a bit notchy and vibration-prone in 2nd and 3rd, though. Hella fun even still.

  • Well that's good to hear. I plan on purchasing the automatic though. I'm sort of tired of driving a manual all these years.

  • we have an orange rt. we love it

  • I've never ridden in an SRT, so I can't compare. I am quite satisfied with my bone stock Challenger.

  • ive been in the r/t and srt and the r/t is much louder inside and out. i dont know y tho

  • great video your car sounds awsome is it bone stock or do you have a exhaust kit on it, nice work

  • At 1:29 it sounded like it can start and earthquake i love it!

  • damn, nice brah :)

  • Love the car, one of my favorites! Possibly my all-time favorite taking the value into consideration.

  • why doesnt this challenger have the big touch screen by the audio. I thought rt's have that.

  • It is an option on the R/T, the ONLY option I didn't want. I don't need a $1600 Nav unit, but may buy the touchscreen on Ebay for $300.

  • very sweet vid, thanks for posting

  • Very cool. Sounds fantastic. That pistol grip looks fun. I'm seriously contemplating an R/T classic with a track pack. I like too that this Dodge is a big muscle car.

  • looks like a old muscle car

    i like it!

  • Nice video and sick ass car dude...

  • Got to love the hemi sound! I wish the performance numbers were better though. But none the less they are some bad ass looking cars.

  • 0-60 in 5.3sec. isn't good? lol

  • it's ok but nothing to get all excited about. I guess that I am spoiled my car does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

  • wow...either you have a lambo or a ricer with a lot of stuff done to it!

  • 03 WRX with 400whp lol so yes I have a ricer but I call it a tuner car because it is actually fast. My car looks bone stock from the outside. I have a GT30R set up with 18psi and and I have converted most of the car to cabon fiber. Such as all 4 doors the front fenders the hood, trunk and wing and then painted it all back to silver. it is 700lbs lighter.

  • ah, ok, better than a ricer. bet you beat a lot of them!

  • Yeah I very rarely lose. Only thing I lost to lately was my bosses ZR1 but it wasn't by much about 3 car lengths in the 1/4. Those things are fucking sweet! But yeah honda ricers are EVERYWHERE around here. You can throw a rock and hit 20 of them on a saturday night. And it's crazy 4 door accords with a fart cannon and a wing but the rest of the car is stock. I mean those guys are EVERYWHERE! And they actually thing they are fast. I beat 1 with the acceleration of my criuse control at 50 in 5th!

  • 5.3 is a pretty generous number. Everything I've seen is they're around 5.7. My 303hp 2007 Impala SS can do that. I LOVE these new Challengers but they just weigh too much. The new Camaro SS (which I hate BTW) can be had for the same price as the RT Challenger and they're really not even comparable in performance. You'd need a SRT Challenger that costs 42k to run with the Camaro SS.

  • i've seen as low as 5.1 for the R/T. if you drive it right, you can get it down there. i agree Dodge has a problem with weight. i'm with you all the way about the Camaro, i hate it too. i personally would rather pay the extra money for a SRT8 than get a Camaro. Dodge did a great job keeping the Challenger true to its heritage.

  • could of done a burnout at least but guess ya didn't wanna teach ur son a bad habit

  • this car is really sweet, the challenger has really grown on me, i just dont like the steering wheels, but the car as a whole is great, and the RT is a great value

  • FWIW, I don't really like the steering wheel either. Parts bin straight off the 300/Charger/Magnum.

Saved me money in the end, though.

  • Awesome Car!!!

I love the New Dodge Challenger, and yours is very nice looking.

I'm a major Mopar fan and i was so glad to hear that they were remaking the challenger.

I own a 1969 Dodge Charger R/t,,and wasn't to satisfied with the new chargers style and look that they gave it... I wish they would have gave it that muscle car look like it should be.

But again,,, I think the New Challengers are perfect..

    Good job,, make somemore...

  • Roughly translated, he feels sorry for my clutch, because he believes I can't properly drive a stick. It's only been 15 years since i had a stick shift, And this was only the second day I had the car, and I had to film my own "footwork"

with one hand on the wheel, one on the camcorder, all this while coasting to a stop sign.

  • c est beau tout ca , mais le gars il ne sait pas conduire un char manuel ..........dommage pour l embrayage ...

    beau bazou ..........

  • Not to mention Life Time Power-train Warranty! Try getting that in your SRT...

  • Rt is a better deal all around save 10k and bolt on 4K of the best stuff you can find bye bye SRT!

  • @dannyjn

right man, $5,000 for a Supercharger and that R/T will be almost twice as fast as fast as anSRT-8!

  • @dannyjn That's what i have been thinking all along.

  • @dannyjn until you get to a corner. My srt will win.

  • @Rlnthndr 49-hp difference can come down to driver so no not necessarily.

  • @dannyjn the suspension and brakes are way way way better in an SRT. Thats where the difference comes in. But I traded that POS for an escalade yesterday so I really dont care.

  • Great video Dad and Raymond! Love the sound of muscle cars!

  • Not a lot but the traction control was impressive. Definitely want smaller rims and snow tires though. I would see if they have some Blizzacks in the standard 18 inch rims.

  • Keep taking your Enzyte and going to your therapist.

  • lexus ? how gay !

  • to fooseballking--dude its a slow car for being a 370 + hp, MUSCULE CAR?? if any thing it has decent speed, but it defanatly isnt fast, hondas cant beat this car in a race.

  • ahahhah i lol'd

  • So hard to put into words how fun this car is. The engine note itself, while your sitting in the cockpit, puts such a smile on your face it should be illeagal. The car moves like it's half the weight yet screams like its twice the size. It wasn't even bad in the snow today!!! (not recommended though!)

  • I have to totally agree!! I LOVE this car!!! I have added the Kooks Headers and MBRP exhaust on mine! You can see it in the Video Response.

Chaz, You a lucky man!! I dont have to worry about Snow though lol!

  • how much snow did you drive it in... i live in canada and im wondering if im going to be having trouble getting around??

  • i am sure the dodge challenger's time are going to improve because it is a new car with a new engine and you need to help it break in

  • wat a crappy car 0-60 in 6 seconds from 372 hp, that is one slow ass car, wow the cammaro is gonna kill this car wit 0-60 in 4.5

  • by the way camaros are a lot lighter

  • You can't even afford a Challenger so why are you talking shit?

And it's not a slow car. Why don't you sit in one before you make a dumbass comment?

  • okay enjoy your rt. I'd rather have a srt8 which gives me everything and 425hp and 420 torque out the box . 2 different cars.

  • its still only an rt come on man . u can't be serious

  • price difference between a rt and a srt8 = a blower + bolt-ons. Now the real questions is can you be serious?

  • ya but put a blower on the srt model and then think of the power. i beat an R/T with my mazdaspeed 3 hahaha... and it coast lest

  • yeah but then you are paying 55-60 ish. I am sure it was from a roll, and are you modified?

  • no not yet, I`v only have had my car for like 3 weeks now

  • well good luck with it and enjoy it.

  • if you look at any of the srt vs rt reviews, the rt does very well against the srt, it only beats the rt in the qtr by maybe a car length or two, not much, and there is a huge price gap between the two, i have an srt challenger, i love it and there only a few, literally, in town but there are a lot of rts and i have beaten every one... it is one bad ass car tho, and btw is ur mazda turbo?

  • yes, all 260 of my horse`s are turbocharged

  • you cant seriously feel like a man driving a mazda3. Zoom Zoom

  • what do you mean?

  • seet just ordered my black RT six speed with evic cant wait.

  • Great video - been waiting for one of the R/T 6spd that actually represents what it's like to drive one.

  • i just love that sound and push button starter

  • @1:44 - I never seen a shot like that! Who was holding the camera?

(been looking at a Black R/T as well - but don't want the sunroof and all the electric add ons like 'keyless go')

  • Damn does it sound nice!

  • God I hope this is available to drive soon! My Dodge dealer says they wont have the track pack R/T's till January!

  • Assuming that exhaust is stock, holy crap that sounds awesome. I ordered a black R/T as well. Now I can't wait to get it.
