  • Nice use of the Q2B with the power call. That airhorn was just awesome!

  • You guys do an awesome job Thanks!!

  • powercall siren moves people nice

  • to jest kultura w polsce debile potrafią ścigać się z wozem bojowym

  • Hmmm The Building is for Sure a Lost...But in the Ground Foloor the Owner maybe can save some iof them Stuff...(I Hope).Nice view from a Ladder.Very Rare.

What not the Fire Destroyed the Water do,but what else the Fire Fighter could do ?! Only Way...Water Helps. But why the Firefighter aon the Ground so Near to the Building when the Burning Parts hanging from the Roof ?! .Just when the go around the Corner the Parts Fell just where the Stand seconds before. My old Captain would kick me in my ass

  • They should put a BIG FUCKING PUSH BAR on the truck for IDIOTS that don't move out of the way. I don't know about anyone else but If a loved one or my house was burnt dow or killed because some asshole can't let an emergency vehicle past.

  • Omg so...why doe sit look like the truck is going at normal car speed should be a bit faster

  • хороший коленчатый подъемник, но мы все таки побыстрее ездим на вызовы.

  • To be quite honest, I'm not impressed at all by the citizen and the time they used to clear the road. In Norway, the FD rarely drop 80km/h, even on tight roads because of the typical public reactions.

  • Wow! Great video! I've never seen a house fire put out before....

  • truss built roof for sure...thats why its was gone so quickly

  • amazing video

  • That horrible siren seems to be effective :P

  • @sleeptyper sounds like my alarm clock

  • i love how the house was for sale to...

  • wow that was a LOUD siren

  • so by the time they get there, the whole top floor went up in flames? and response time was? to slow.

  • man that house is done that tower is putn out sum water big time good job guys station 11 nassau oaks,fl

  • POWERCALL!!!

  • stupid volkswagen beatle driver . . .

  • @tarzan694 There's a reason they drive it.. probably own a Mac as well.

  • @tarzan694 you are an idiot ! if the pickup had pulled over on the left side instead of crossing over then the beetle wouldnt have had to compensate for the retard behind it. I see idiots like you and this pick up driver multiple times each day. you are the same people who have difficulty negotiating your own damn driveway.

  • ok, who put that ''wouawouawoua'' noise ??

  • @tarzan694 that would be a powercall

  • @102eng2 sorry, but what is a ''powercall'' ?

  • @tarzan694 a usually higher pitched wail like siren thats usually used to clear roads and intersections. its a great alternative to the fed q signal

  • @tarzan694 the electric siren you hear in the background is called a powercall. The one you had asked about, that is the name of the siren

  • Whats flowing from that tower? gpm wise any ideas.

  • Insurance Fraud?

  • yawn

  • Awesome coverage from beginning to end...

  • another video compilation NOT done by cdz69.

  • a very interesting video,

    nice one.

    5*

    thanks for uploading^^

  • nice job operating that master stream it took care of that fire with no problem

  • Ну и идиллия... Полный звиздец... Как так можно жить?)

  • Awesome vid guys!!!! I use these vids in or training. Keep it up!!

  • Superman would have just frozen a lake and made repeated passes overhead.

  • did i notice a for sale sign in the front yard?

  • @ firefighteremt4life

The newer building materials are really well... Shitty. The side panals r all plastic and the wood is like kindling. We jus had a 4 alarm because see how the next two buildings are crisped?? Well on my 1st fire (4 alarm) the neighbors house caught on fire because of the heat. Nice way to pop my cherry.

  • point blank solid stream???

  • shut up

  • wet stuff on the red stuff i thought what ? then pause i get it thats good db

  • The beauties of an elevated stream. if only my county would realize...

  • Talk about light weight construction man. The house next to the house that was on fire had a big hole in it.

Were you also manning the deluge gun?

  • Were you in the bucket?

  • i dnt fink the fire engines balls have dropped

  • Good Nozzle work!!! Thats a serious fire load.

  • what would be cool is if somebody was talking about exactly what was happening maybe do some voice over

  • i enjoy watching your videos and somebody does a lot of work on them but what i would like to hear is more radio traffic less siren

  • I have watched this video at least 5 times over the past 2 years, and i have to say. This is the first time i noticed that the side of the second structure is completley open. I cant even imagine the heat that must have come from this house in order for that to happen!

  • I have watched this video many times too and I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't write about it.

  • It's a great pro documentary on Fire Volunteers work and it''s sad to watch a home burning, but the hard thing to understand is why so much tiny villages & houses are still builded in WOOD. Fire preventing paint and sprinkler systems are not yet mandatory rule?

  • @patsematary We have a few areas in our response district that are required to have sprinkler systems, this is because during the winter months trying to get a full tanker up those roads is impossible.

  • @patsematary I do not think theres a rule for sprinkler systems in houses.

  • @patsematary Building homes out of anything but wood would cost a lot more - primarily with the groundwork being more thorough and labour expenses. Wood is a cheap, light material, easy to manipulate and abundant. For example concrete would require stiffer foundation and expert builders, not forgetting simplicity demands for design...

  • @sleeptyper and wood is actually safer in a fire, as steel weakens

  • @patsematary Its not the wood they are made of that is the problem, its what is inside, i have seen houses in blick buildings go up in flames faster, only difference is that the wooden ones are cheaper and eco-friendly, not to mention they are better in keeping a stable temperature inside the house without AC

  • what was the cause???

  • That sucks. I dont think theyll be selling that house anytime soon!!

    :)

Sorry about their house though. It is very sad

  • Is there a protocol for where you start the water on a roof fire? Does it make a difference if you start at the back, front or middle of the fire?

  • aim for the biiger areas of fire ;)

  • What about using a fireproof paint like Inferno to prevent fires from destroying lives? TLC's Paint Misbehavin show had Inferno put to the test. Check out the video at HARD Lifestyle, you will be amazed!

  • Because fire-preventing paint alone wont stop fires from destroying lives lol. paint isnt the only fuel for fires inside houses. if you really wanted to spend your money on something that you can count on suppressing a fire immediately in the insipiant stage then you should buy an in-home sprinkler system.

  • I don't like the way you guys roll your hoses, no offence, great video 5*

  • yeah they get all tangled up and ripped when they are at fires

  • it looks fun putting out the fires!! CANT WAIT TO BECOME A FF!!!

  • It's fun but also dangerous my bud was killed in a fire it's an adrenilin rush but dangerous

  • im sorry... i just cant wait

  • At 9:33 is the reason to keep lines on buildings that are close to the fire building

  • What are you trying to say.

  • almost all of the siding is burned off

  • IMHO this is the best produced FD video I have ever seen. The bucket POV was perfect. More please, Manassass!

  • Awesome. My kids go bananas for this video

  • i give this a 10 out of 5 the best fire video that i have ever seen

  • Excellent video.

  • Hell ya the whole town moved the hell outta the way. and nice work on that aerial.

  • Not to say anything but people really move out of the way for FD in that town. Damn, that main street in the beginning was split in half perfectly.

  • @sixsquaresides damn right!

  • @sixsquaresides except for that asshole in the white SUV near the beginning

  • perfect Q control :]

  • Get a life paininyourrear, this stuff is awesome.

  • I'm 14 and I'm gonna do that stuff pretty soon. (Give or take 4-5 years)

  • same here dude same here

  • I definatly prefer working fire over ems. THe directions are so much easier. Follow the smoke

  • dont be so sure of yourself.

  • 火の用心!マッチ一本火事のもと!!

  • at 3:37 we can finnaly see the House

  • Did anyone else notice the for sale sign on the front lawn?? Wonder if this house was in foreclosure??

  • Great video!!!

  • xthis is incredablee 5*(y)

  • damn im imgaining that was a total loss with the roof already gone normally what we do is dismount the monitor from the top and hit it from the doorway on fire were the roof is mainly involved

  • Really nice sirens :o)

  • Like the position of the camera...that's really cool, some day I bet all trucks (engines too) will prob have cameras all over the place...makes for sampling some good fire ground training videos.

    Stay safe !

  • just like a police camaera :)

  • Right ! But I think we wont be seeing any firefighters beating their patients....lol

  • no but people can watch to see if you bust intersections etc stuff like that.

  • and there been a few of my calls had i not gone back and sat in the rig i mightve beat em :| lol

  • Amen to that. We've sandwiched a couple less than cooperative patients between two backboards cinched down with a bunch of gauze rolls : )

  • its more of a safety thing. we have a thermal imager that has a wireless trasmitter on it that feeds to a moniter we have in our squad and it gives command the exact same picture that we are getting from our camera. it doesnt look like this video does tho, the picture on ours has many different colors for the temperature reading and stuff. but its basically the same concept. if command doesnt like something they see they will tell us to get out. or maybe they saw something we didnt.

  • Definitely a worthwhile piece of tech. Our police chopper with FLIR has found us several attic fires by flying around the city...

  • No kidden? Our thermal imager is also a 3M FireFlir. But i bet ours is just a liiiiitle bit different haha. We have to carry ours in by hand..granted its not very heavy at all, it still is pretty bulky. How does your work? My guess is that it's mounted underneath the chopper on some sort of electric swivel and then feeds into a monitor on the panel of your heli?

  • nice sirens

  • 2 inch tip nice...

  • Any person wearing glasses is of no problem. I am wearing glasses, and so are some on my friends. A good firefighter start from your heart. To be a good one start first from your heart to help other people and not work only. a good firefighter come from years of experience, study, learn from others who are good. stay healthy, do not worry about your eye glass.

  • Very clever way of putting it out and i agree that the house is a total goner by that time but good on ya for responding to it! I'm only 14 but i have had an interest in Fire Fighting all my life sadly i am not sure wether i can become one because i wear glasses could someone preferably a Firefighter reply back to me and let me know if i can or not pleaseeeeee?

  • yes you can i am a firefighter in illinois.. i personally don't wear glasses but i no a few people actually that have inserts in ther scba masks so that they can see.. good luck

  • I am an ex- firefighter. Yes you can become a firefighter if you have glasses. You do have to pass a vision test however when you get your department physical but there where a few guys on my department who wore glasses.

  • hey don't sweat it im a firefighter and i wear glasses and i have a funny way of putting it " if you mask up there's no need for glasses, your already going in blind

  • i dont wear em but my last partner did.... it honestly dosent matter once your inside the beast you cant see jack. smoke to the floor everyone is blind.

  • Yeah corrective lenses don't matter. Once your able to wear an SCBA you have a choice to get a lens kit with your prescription lenses that sit on your nosepiece and you dont remove. Some departments may make that mandatory but mine doesnt. Hopefully that gives you an answer.

  • Thank you for what ever you called me! I might say something wrong or comment. I am sorry. In my 25 years front line fire fighter. I could never be wrong when I see a ladder truck (tower) using a straight nozzle, 3 lines of 2 1/2"HOSE.One of them is using loop type method... Season greeting to all of you!

  • that was a house not a tower u thick twat

  • The video did not tell us the position of line-1. Line-2 and Line-3 lay their hoses the same time as the ladder truck. they can not put the fire out outside except to block fire from spreading to other houses. the ladder truck tower to my openion spreading the nozzle a little would be better. Your openion is using straight is better. I will not comment on that. To all, fire trucks arrived too late. either method con't help, the house is a total goner.

  • A great job I ever seen. This will be me my collector video to show other fire fighters, I salute the ladder truck crew and their chief for this wonderful job !

  • Don you think a wider stream pattern would be better. They where knocking big pieces of debre everywhere. A quarter turn to the left would have hit more fire and not send pieces flying.

  • Yes! I agree with you, a wider stream pattern will make more water stick for better cooling. When high temp. go down, so is the fire.Idea of knocking thing around do not cool the temp. Thanks for the reminder. good job!

  • That goes for you too! (see above) ;-)

  • Well you got the "dumbasss" part of your name right anyhow. No hate dude but I always get a kick out of people who where obviously never firefighters commenting on these videos. A straight tip nozzle was quite appropriate. BTW, I was a fire capt. for 15 years. Just enjoy the videos and STFU. ;-)

  • you claim to have been a capt. with that kind of attitude im sure you were a real joy to be a round. probably couldnt keep a crew. nobody would want to work for retard like you for sure.

  • truly one of the best actual fire tapeings

  • Sweet vid man!!!

  • what was the cause of this fire?:)

  • Hot Fire. Nice Driveing By Fire Truck Driver.

  • Great job and i understand it was a total loss but in most of these videos I never see any salvage work going on ?

  • one of my favorite youtube vids

  • i think that was a realy good vid very good

  • how come after they put out the roof/top levels the base of the side was still burning and not put out?

  • I just noticed something. You know how you always see cops not doing ther job right like abusing there powerrs etc. i have yet to come across one of those videos of a fireman abusing his powers ya wana know why? beacause firemen rule FOR THE FIREMEN!

  • Yep, but it is hard sometimes to make people where I live (Alabama) to understand that we are trying to do a job. I have had some people yell and cuse me out becuause it took 3 min to get to a trailer fire. It went up quick and they could not understand why we could not put it out. The two guys were drunk also. Somethings do not suprise me anymore. LOL

  • thing of beauty. nice work to all of you.

  • dont u just love the people who go around the stopped cars infront of them while you have your lights and sirens on just to get ahead and then you have to stop to to get around them....retards i tell you

  • ha ha true.

  • we ran a call a couple of days ago where we got cut off by this work van doing about 20 mphs lol

  • thank you

  • wow that was big was everyone ok

  • yep everyone came out safe thanks for asking

  • The firefighers on the ground with the white hose when the ladder comes to stop actually maybe using 2 1/2in lines which are extremely hard to control if your not careful. As you can see there are 2 firemen crouching or sitting on the hose to try to contain and keep fire from spreading to other structures thru heat and sparks until aerials arrive. Once again my 2 sense. I love this job.

  • huge difference in amount of water being discharged. Also chances are if you have to use a deck gun on an engine or in this case the nozzle on the ladder. your looking at a total loss and mostly used as a defensive attack. This looked like at least 2 alarm maybe 3. good amount of apparatus there. Prob a total loss. At least second floor with heavy smoke and water damage on lower floor and basement.

  • Hey Plitt23. Like fireman036 said: they had to get above the fire. Not to mention the difference between the nozzle on the ladder bucket and the preconnects you typically find on an engine are huge. Your looking at prob a 4 inch nozzle on the ladder compared to 1 3/4inch standard preconnects on the engine. You can discharge way more gpm (gallons per minute) of water from the 4 In nozzle on the ladder. Just look at the fireman on the ground with their lines and the ladder.

  • love this job

  • the gooddddddddddddddddddddd

  • the good!!!

  • question: i saw in a vid that whne youur done "fire fighting bootcamp" that they put you a fire hall. cant u choose wat fire hall u want to go to??

  • it depends but usually they assign you one and you go there

  • Love that Powercall.

  • one thing i dont get, how come like four pumpers cant take the fire down but one ladder truck can?

  • they had to get above fire

  • Attention fire and ambulance; attention fire and ambulance. Your wanted for a house fire; your wanted for a house fire. Sheriff's Office Clear.

  • Being a truck company shouldn't you guys have laddered the building and taken the windows out so the handline could be used? just a thought.

  • its a defensive fire

  • I wonder if that home was going through pre foreclosure. With a for sale sign and the house going up in flames, it looks suspicious.

  • Maybe. This econonmy is BAD.

  • watch my officer down video! yes, it is sad when people dont get over for emergency vehicles.

  • could not locate.

  • search for or click on iamthebs and then look for Officer Down and click on it! thanks and enjoy! We lost Deputy Collins here in Ohio January 4th, 2006, he gave his life in the line of duty in an Officer Assistance call! He will be missed and Remembered for his great service!

  • Get in there!!!!

  • Looks similar to house fire I attended recently, but we never had back up crews or a aerial appliance.

  • Are there sites I can go to about what I need to do to become a volunteer attendet? I live in a small town and I may try to get in someday.

  • i recommend you go to your local fire station and talk with the guys there about joining

  • @faribaultcounty100

If you want to join a local volunteer fire department find out when they meet and show up to a meeting. We are always looking for more people.

  • way to steal this video off mlesnick. why dont you make your own instead of posting other people's videos

  • chill out i know mike we go to the same firehouse im not taking credit for this video he did it i just posted it

  • wheres mannansas

  • NoVa

  • norht virginia?

  • yeah

  • It looks like maybe the stream from that hose could have been adjusted. Is that easily done with the robot arm? from KY

  • wow impressive video talk about being right up on that fire great video and for a vol fd you guys rock great job

  • Very professional from time of leaving the staion to video's conclusion. Excellent video.

  • Being a firefighter myself, I can say there is not much more aggravating than people who either won't get out of the way, or freak out and then can't get out of the way. (See @ 1:00)

  • really nice video...also seen the one set to music...great pov!

  • job well done ...god bless them
