Yet another creative use for targeting! I love it! We can use this in Rally when she usually does a rock back sit and is far away from me. Good luck on your obedience! (I know you won't need it)
Great idea using the target to improve his sit!! I always learn something from your video:) Thanks! How is the shelter position going? It was the shelter wasn't it?!
@fickla01 Thank you for watching our video. I hope to compete with Pride in obedience when he is ready. I have a target in the grass and sent him to the target. After lots of practice, I will make the target smaller and smaller. Sometimes I'll throw a toy, sometimes cue a stand or down. This is just the start. We'll need a lot of practice with this behavior. Thank you, again, for watching. :-)
I also wanted to say that I love the use of the target for the tuck sit!

My dog moves back when he sits too. What a great way to fix it! Thank you so much for the tip!

This is brilliant! I will try this with my greyhound and see if he can learn it just as well! Thanks!

FANTASTIC, I love how you are using targeting to keep him in the heel position, I am going to try that too

Pride is a fast-learner! His sit improve so much after the target training as he will not move his front legs backwards anymore at the heel position.
