I love Luther & his soulful sound. U can't compare anyone to Luther. It would always be like apple & oranges. Still, this guy does the song very well. I have a theatre background - he sounds like he has one. He's telling a story. He's in character. At the end he says: Next week my guest will be Elaine Page. She's a very popular performer in London. She introduced the role of Florence in the musical CHESS written by the ABBA guys. -- It's very different from Luther but still very good.
@girl920 - Hi ... I looked it up not too long ago, after seeing it on GLEE. It was written in 1964 by Burt Bacharach. It was the title song for a movie of the same name: A House Is Not A Home, and the original was sung by Brook Benton.
These words are so profound and so true.When Michael sings this song it seems the pain eases and the thoughts of a new life emerge. Thanks for the sad words that turn a heart to thoughts of new beginnings and hopeful futures.

Back in 92 I used to live in England. This was party of TV Weekly, ran about 10 weeks or so (all songs on the album). Simply put a great singer.
