Ask Barry at Benn. Tire we pulled a 70's something married couple in a Plymouth wagon out of the Scout Hole back around '78. They actually made it that far. He thought the road was under construction after seeing road work signs for the bridge in Woodford Hollow.
But-the best part of the story. It was a dry summer(only way they made it that far)but after they hung the car on that large stone on the pond side of the mud hole the sky opened up in a tremendous cloud burst. They walked all the way back in the rain to Burgess Rd. and caught a ride into town.

It was owned by the town of Bennington and had fallen into disrepair(with some help) and the game warden was sent to dispatch it so to speak.
