Alan Grayson's net worth was almost $60 MILLION at one time. He had been at the right place at the right time and made alot of money. Unfortunately for Alan, his net worth had dropped by 50% because he couldn't read the American marketplace.
Alan couldn't lose the last election but did.
His opponent didn't want to run, was middle class and no war chest and didn't get into the race in spring of 2010.
Grayson created despicable adds and lost by a landslide.
Thanks for your comment. I must disagree with you however, that Alan Grayson is incredibly smart. A person can be "book smart" which he is, but "common sense" smart, he fails miserably.
I do believe he is very inspiring to a certain part of our society. He raised a lot of money from people outside of his Congressional District because of inspiration.
In regards to Fox anchors, most "talking heads" have faults including Olbermann, Schultz, and Matthews.
I dont believe he had an angle to get on TV. He wasn't actually being outlandish it was the host trying to stir controversy and highlight his most extreme comments trying to keep his low ratings from falling further. Grayson just wasnt going to be caught in an "ah-ha" or a "gotcha" moment which is exactly why he was brought on the show and he saw it coming.
@Swervedaplumber Thanks for your comment. I'm sure you meant Rep. Grayson did a good job which I respectfully disagree with you. I have a video on this channel where Rep. Grayson said he was "abused" by the "meanie", Neil Cavuto. I may be completely wrong, but I expect a level of refinement and decorum in a member of Congress which is not present with Rep. Grayson.
@CongressionalNuts I totally understand you comments. But before we analyze his behavior we have to consider the environment. TV interview political shows are just theatre, screaming and yelling with no true substance, verbal jousting matches. In a normal conversation his conduct would have been totally unacceptable and he was a bit abrasive but Bolling brought him on and started about his most controversial statement, and he realized what direction the interview was intended to go, ambush.
@Swervedaplumber I agree that the political cable shows are "theater" and are fantastic money makers for their respective networks. They must be controversial or they won't draw as large of an audience. I think Rep. Grayson accomplished what he wanted to do and that was to be as outlandish as he could be, possibly setting the stage for his debut as a talk show co-host or host.
He's the (ex)-congressional equivalent of Mike Malloy or Ed Schulz, and as their tiny ratings would show, it's no wonder he was rejected by so many people this time around. How he got elected in the first place would be a good question to ask him since he feels his district is apparently gerrymandered and hopelessly Republican.
Thanks for your comment. I checked the Fl. District 8 boundaries and demographics and found that several Districts in Central Fl. are even more gerrymandered than Rep. Grayson's. His district has a wide cross-section of constituents including sports and movie stars as well as the inter city part of Orlando, which has a Democrat Mayor.
You are correct. If you go on MSNBC or Fox news you know what you are getting into. "Man-Up" and except the treatment you receive. With people like Olbermann or Shultz fom MSNBC please wear "protection".
He IS arrogant..but thats not his main problem (lets face it, who is more arrogant that Barack). But beyond his arrogance, he is mentally ill...I have seen saner people locked up.
@warsun99 Grayson is reviled b'cuz after he makes wild, disgusting (& sexist) remarks he goes totally coward & hides out. If hiding in his office til he thinks its safe to sneak out of the darkened building doesnt work bcuz some intrepid reporter is out in the hall waitng, Grayson then resorts to lying..."ONLY Fox News will not obey the rules & make an appointment" WHAT RULES! Does he think we've not been watching the news all our lives? See pics of McCain etc happily swamped. A G = Sidewinder.
One would be hard-pressed to come up with a more vile, sickening, bombastic, embarrassing, idiotic, hateful, insanity-inspiring, terd-like douche than this FREAK.
This "genius" (as his fans on the left refer to him as) can't even answer a simple question: "Why didn't you get re-elected?"
He exists simply to BE an ass.....and, he's very good at it.
Good for Bolling for ending the interview.
I don't get FBN on Dish (cuz I don't pay more for it). Thanks for posting this vid!
