  • your stealing your style bitch from that guy who reviews games

  • @bellyzbad *You're

  • Fight Club W00t! ehh?

  • 0:02 Alien Hand. Can't unhear.

  • ZERO PUNCTUATION !!!

How do you do it ?

  • more competition to world domination.....

  • pixies! :)

  • AAARGH! my hed has asploded. Of all our animal friends, i partake most of the nature of the sloth - it would be my totem spirit if i believed in such tripe... This I-just-shotgunned-a-dozen-cans-of-redbull delivery makes abused-gearbox noises emanate from my ears. And I LIKE IT!!!!one!

  • BAM! you cram a 7 minute video in 4:11.

Love your delivery and content sir!

  • Yahtzee style is awesome =D Visual puns are shibby =D

    Pew zombies =D

    Awesome answers. =3

  • I really like your style!

  • I'm glad, but sadly I can't take much of the credit! If you like games, check out Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation; I try to aim for homage, but the latest vid is probably closer to plagiarism ;)

I was once told "if you must steal, steal from the best."

  • Plagiarism is a homage to the original and if this is bloody entertaning :)

  • Alan Turing: You can play a central role in saving civilization from Nazism and help empower the entire human race through your contributions to computer science, but you don't get to express your own sexuality without being chemically castrated and driven to suicide. Seems fair enough.

  • I just looked up Triglycerides, and i must say it's the single most random and awesome name for a pub ever.

  • as our colonial cusions in america might say FIY

Triglycerides are the chemical form in which most fat exists in food as well as in the body

  • During my undergrad, when we were all in agreement at our upcoming failure, we used to brainstorm about opening a pub for biochemists. That was one of the best suggestions.

The other was "The Phosphofructokinase and Duck."

We even thought of an equivalent of pound-a-pint night, where everything would cost ATP (80p).

    Thangyouverymuch.

  • Absolutely agreed. And do note that I happen to be a Christian myself. I too feel abortion is a matter of choice, gays are born gay and their lifestyle is perfectly acceptable and that drugs are entirely a matter of personal choices. In fact, I really don't believe in any human law that exists due to theology. Logic and reason should determine those. If someone aborts their child, I think it's a shame, but who are we to make it legal to stop them? Religious crimes are between you and God only.

  • You are a rare breed indeed, and not just because you agree with me :)

I wish there were more people capable of such reason and honesty.

  • I too applaud you, Sir.

  • 0:58 PULSE RIFLE / MOTION TRACKER! i lurved Aliens. did you know there making a Prequel to the First film now?

  • They're coming out of the god-damned walls, man!

Well spotted, I loved it too :) I didn't know about the prequel, here's hoping it doesn't suck noodles.

I still haven't forgiven them for the AVP movies yet...

  • oh, i agree that the AVP films were utter shite. Hell they did not even seem to relate to the set of games which they are based on. James cameron said it himself that someone was just trying to milk the Franchises for all it was worth with no regard for the quality of pictures themselves. Fortunately Ridley Scott who directed the first one is apparently at the helm. I just hope they successfully delve into the origin of the xenomorphs properly, space jockies and all.

  • I hear that!

Ridley Scot, eh? *steeples fingers* Excellent...

  • My one hope here is that H.R Giger gets involved in this one. He will be needed to do it properly.

  • Oh jeez, when i saw texas pop up I cringed and watched in terror of what you would say about my homestead. It was all oh so true.

Interesting note, I live in the wrong country. No, not just the USA, Texas. Yes Texas is a country. When we joined the union, we were secretly drinking Coors beer behind the scenes laughing our asses of by how stupid the US government is. If it were not for BBQ and blonde women, we would have had an uprising like the Irish Unionists!

    Mmmmm... BBQ. No wait, Blonds!

  • Truth be told, all I've heard about Texas is from mainstream media, and we all know how reliable that can be (I'm looking at you, BBC...)

That said, you guys have the awesomeness that is Matt Dillahunty, so it can't all be bad!

  • Although I only read articles from the BBC website, and obviously I don't watch it or tune in... I can attest that most of what you hear is correct.

They don't call this region of the United States the Bible Belt for nothing.

But yes, as with anywhere in the world, in a group of people you will find all sorts of individuals. We have our Matt Dillahunty's, our ken Hovinds, our George W. Bush's.

With every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

    And Barbeque. Yeeeehaw!

  • If I had to choose between the BBC, and any american network (Most of all Fox News), I'd choose the BBC.

  • True, that.

Were I to choose between a kick in the crotch and the BBC, which I feel is roughly analogous, I'd pick the BBC too.

    But only just.

    Also, BBQs FTW!

  • Yes, I too feel Fox news is analogous to a kick in the crotch.

    :P

You know honestly, and don't feel as if I think BBC is perfect in every way, but compared to the utter mindless drivel and propaganda we get here. Well, It is not like we can give the BBC any competition. Sad as it may be, but truthful.

  • Could you please send me the picture of me in the dressing gown you used in this video? I dearly desire it to be my profile picture!

    Also, great response!

  • I surely will! With pleasure.

    I confess, I was half expecting a light-hearted slapping instead ;)

  • I'd never slap someone for creating such a dashing cartoon version of myself! I'll message you my email in 5 seconds.

  • Will! Using my QED character as a YouTube avatar was MY idea, you godless, tea-drinking heathen!

There's only one solution: pistols at dawn. Don't wear your finest bathrobe unless you want holes in it.

  • I accept your challenge, sir! I have a spare dressing gown specially kept aside for such an event as a duel, so this is mighty convenient!

But there's no reason why we can't both use our QED characters, is there?

  • Very true, we can all get along! Each request is as flattering as the other :)

That said, I expect a good clean duel; no bulletproof dressing gowns or other concealed weapons (mental image optional).

Take ten paces, turn, and start quoting terrible lines from movies!

  • ..., eight, nine, TEN!

"Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while that you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me."

  • "I have many leather bound books, and my apartment smells of Mahogany...I'm kind of a big deal"

  • "Now, this'll be a straight walk-off, old school rules. First model walks; second model duplicates, then elaborates. Okay, boys - let's go to work! "

  • I'm scared that both us having QED avatars would make the awesome too concentrated in too small an area, causing a rift in the fabric of the universe. The resulting wormhole would suck everything in, killing us all! Or so I believe. So I'm afraid it's pistols.

  • zero punctuation!

  • hmm?

  • the style of his video is based off of an internet show called Zero Punctuation.

  • Very true! My artistic skills aren't up to much, and I wanted to do a little more than cut-and-paste responses to peopple. Plus, Yahtzee is awesome.

  • Sweet Zombie Jesus, I really should have checked for typos. Welcome to Monday morning...

  • quite good

five stars awarded to you sir.

  • Thank you kindly.

I shall strive to surpass "quite" and replace it with "rather" ;)

  • So what Scientific Discipline are you involved in?

  • My undergrad was in Molecular Genetics, but I've since gone on to MSc and PhD in Bioinformatics studies of protein structure. I guess it helps being a nerd in a lab ;)

  • Ah, sounds lovely.

  • All the fun of science without the disfiguring chemical burns...

How 'bout yourself? What aspects of marine science float your boat?

  • Well Unfortunately for myself i have no degree and no proper education beyond my inferior highschool level. I am at self taught naturalist. At best i am just a science cheer leader. That being said i`v made it my business to Learn as much cladesitics as humanly possible with my current resources. Also In particular i like to deal with Cnidarian husbandry and design variants of the kreisel system used to raise captive pelagics Not quite that scientific in my opinion.

  • by yeah, i Dig Cnidaria research.

  • *but.

  • Wow! Self taught, it looks like you've definitely been doing your homework! Good on you!

Keep it up, love the time lapse videos :) And sorry I didn't respond earlier, I was away for the weekend.

  • oooo........am i supposed to do a video answering these questions?

  • You've been tagged, 'tis the custom! ;)

  • Hmmm.........best get to work then

  • Hi All...

It looks like Chrome and I are having some minor disagreements about replying to comments, for which I'm sorry. All feedback is still greatly appreciated!

  • Love your video style. Great work!

  • O_o.......not been mentioned in a youtube video before, it feels quite odd and sureal!

And the Yahtzee style is good, you've said it's in the style of so your not taking credit.....and they are truely awesome so far. I think he'd be chuffed if he knew.

Keep up the work, i may have to go check out this guy that inspired you to make these things. If only to point and laugh!

  • The pixies - Where is my mind, from the Surfer Rosa and come on pilgrim album is a way underplayed song. I subbed you just for that, or was it for the Yathzee style video.. Or even a third option, or all of those..

  • Ooh, I'm in a video!!

Fun stuff. I really enjoy this style, being fully aware of the, uh, ripoffedness.

I was thinking some months back that Yahtzee should be doing "creationist" videos, and voilá, here you are!! ;)

  • I've always thought that if I were to rip someone off, I'd rip off the best ;)

No, wait! I mean "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!" Honest. The previous paragraph is in no way legally binding ;)

Also, bonus points for "ripoffedness"---a total game-winner in Scrabble.

  • I'll have you know I've won many scrabblegames with that word.

And Trivial Pursuit games... although I'm not sure why that is.

But yes, you're certainly ripping off of the best.

If I were to comment on how you stack up to him, it would probably be that you sound too nice. Yahtzee has really honed his grumpiness. :)

But on second thought, in this debate culture, I think being as grumpy as Yahtzee might not be as productive as being nice, so...

    Go you!

  • Waahh! I didn't get a shout out!!

    *UNSUBSCRIBE!!*

XD, just kidding. I repeat- JUST KIDDING! Nobody flame me.

Anyway, awesome stuff so far, dude. Your videos are an absolute pleasure to watch!
