  • man this is awesome i love 80's vic and ltd series

  • are the parts on a 89 crown vic 5.0 the same as a 89 mustang 5.0

  • @bigdkyle well yeah

  • Power-jacking, not a true burnout.

Belongs on a dragstrip, not a public road.

  • @tripjet999 never heard of power jacking...sounds dirty..ive heard of break-standing

  • lol thx

  • Did you like steal the car from Men in Black? :P Awesome sound!

  • Was that a police car coming up at the very end?

  • heay kron-ice my inspiration for my car thanks man for letting me know that a t5 could fit. how is your green and white restoration going?

    kron- .cardomain com /ride /250410

    me. cardomain com /ride /3087533

  • @mccarterjg

korn-ice was the original owner of that car and he gave it to me after

  • was it easy putting the t-5 in it? i own a 91 crown with drang lights pretty cool car has the 302 with a msd coil and ram air. but trying to put a electric fan. how was the t-5 installed in the floor bord?

  • Car no longer exists?

    you crash it? sell it?

  • How tough is the 351 swap? I just bought a running and driving 89 Crown Vic LTD wagon for 300 bucks, and wouldn't mind putting a few bucks into her...

  • Your car is very very cool ;-)

  • what vehicle did your 5 speed transmission come out of?

  • @Cass0009

    It's a t-5 who came from a mustang

  • What year of mustang?

  • post some more videos of this monster!!!

  • The two that I posted here are the onlky available..the car no longer exist

  • o that sucks!! what happened to her?

  • just wondering how you did the 5-speed swap.

  • I got the original 302 V8 in my 88 Crown Vic.

  • Nash ramblers can line lock

  • no line were used on this car

  • Holding the bakes, while throttling up

  • what pedals did you use? mustang?

  • also the only thing I did to that car was put shorty headers and h pipe from a mustang on with custom tailpipes and change the gears in the ass end to 3:73 everything else was stock !!

  • Get into the blues mobile!

  • is that the normal axle ratio or is it a bigger one?

  • no it has 3.73

  • Damn, this thing may have been retrofitted with a manual transmission and a stock 351 police interceptor motor was fitted into it originally, but there had to be some aftermarket stuff on the motor at least.

The engines of the 80's were of low output due to the shock of running on unleaded fuel and emission's standards made in that time.

However, that car can tear some ass. Nice job on what ever mods you made.

  • the engine is bone stock! it's the gearing who really makes the difference

    thanks for your comment

  • not exactly! 80's were better them the the mid late 70's engines and 1975 was the switch to unleaded fuel and catalytic converter on a lot of cars and choke them down big time!!! The 80's they were past shock by then.Once they started putting o2 sensors and ECM in cars. The horsepower was starting to come back then the switch to electronic fuel injection. I had a 84 cougar 5.0 TBI .This would sit there and smoke the tires like that crown vic. My friends 75 corvette stock couldn't run with it!!!

  • I have to agree the late 70's were the worst.

My little brother had a beat-up 84 Grand Marquis as his first car. It had the 302 with the TBI.

That was a very smooth running car especially as beat up as it was. I wish they'd put that same system in the trucks with the 302 during that time.

  • 1984 must have been a good year for the 302 .Ford did use the TBI on some of the 302s around those years in the trucks but they are VERY RARE! I remember looking in the haynes tear down book and it even said that very few were sold during those years and they said ''they will not be covered in this manual' How messed up is that!!!! I know they put the old 3.8 v6 in some of 1982-83 f100-150 trucks who would choose that motor over the old faithful 300 I-6??

  • i would, the 3.8 is a damn good motor

  • they're ok not as good as the 300 I-6 They didn't hold up well in the fwd cars.

  • FWD? wich fwd cars had the 3.8? i know the mn12 platform used the 3.8's and so did the mustangs, i myself used to own a '90 XR7 i thought it was a great motor

  • 1988-95 ford taurus/ mercury sable 1995 and up ford windstar all these cars and vans had the 3.8 as an option and also prone for headgasket failure 1994-97 T-bird/cougar with 3.8 were recalled for this. One of Fords classic secret recalls not to notify the customer until he or she came into the dealership with this problem but the 88-93 also had this problem those customer were own their own.The supercharged version has a thicker block then the standard 3.8.

  • It's nice to see a car pampered like this. This is what you want in a used car, LOL.

  • im not doing my crown vic like that

  • Pure awesomeness.

    What a sleeper.

I guess I should add a crown vic to my collection *lol*

  • Rice? what the hell are you talking about...How dare you mention rice.....great your comment made me hungry.

  • where did you get the three pedal set up? from a mustang or from an older ltd? cause i wanna convert my 1980 2 door ford ltd to a 5 speed.

  • It was a police pack but sorry the car no longer exist but i have a 04 vrown vic police pack also manual ( see my vids) but unfortunatly it's not for sale.

  • Sweet video man.

I'm doing the same swap in my Vic, what year T5 do you have in there, and how well does it stand up to all that 351 power?

  • it's hard to tell as the car didnt last too many years but at the time it was not a problem

  • i would not want to see that behind me with lights an sirens...

  • lol

  • a 5 speed? In a crown vic? I don't believe it. Nice burnout though.

  • Dont tell me you can't hear the tires chrip when i engaged the second gear!

Obviously the transmission is not original it's a t5 comming out from a mustang.

  • I saw the pictures of the build up ...it was really a 5 speed!

  • think abouth your bicycle gears...it's pretty much the same way ..the higher it is the faster you accelerate

  • wow nice! i love these cars but i dont know anything about them! what does the rear differential ratio mean?

  • yo tengo uno y quiero que jale igual diganme que le modificaron simon espero repuestas =)

  • Crown vic Rocks!..why didnt you make some donuts and figure 8?

  • look my other videos with this car you will find what you are looking for

  • Gread vid! Did the tranny swap go pretty easy or were there any surprises? I want to do this on mine, but don't want to screw up the car.

  • the worst part was the clutch and the mecanisme involve for the pedal

  • how mutch you pay for that 5 speed? to be installed and every thing

  • hard to tell but close to 1500 2000 can$

  • Damm looks like it works GREAT

  • OH yeah!!!!!!!!

  • Great package !!!

its the same car but kornice is my friend who gave me the car last year

  • When is he going to build another one? I saw is Cardomain and I want to see an 90 crown Vic done up like that! 5.0 perhaps?

  • the next manual crown vic will be with my 04 crown vic

  • Hey I just bought a 99 cvpi:) Are you still on CVN? becase I just joined up as interceptor999

  • i am i'll write you saturday

  • Are you KornIce on cardomain? Nice Vic man, I'd love to do a manual swap on mine, but I picked up a 600hp capable wide ratio AOD instead. I have had a ride in a T-5 H.O engined 86 Vic before, and it kicked more ass than Chuck Norris. Keep up the good work

  • Manual? I have a Crown Vic the same year and I wish my car looked half as good as yours

  • thanks for the nice comments

  • Nooo Problem. A sweet Panther like that deserves Respect.

  • Hey man, nice ride. What kinda mods do you have? I have an 89 crown vic myself. No mods other than a cold air and straight pipes. What can I do to make my ride sweet as yours?

  • thanks for the greats comment.

  • I'm POSITIVE I've seen you on CarDomain. NICE RIDE!

I think all the gearheads who've been in a V8 powered performance car know that bubbly, giggly feeling you get from an engine roar like that...well, this is the first video I got it from. Hands down the best car-related video I've seen on here. Post more! 5 rating.
