@cbaptiste1996 No; M. Shadows came up with the premise of a concept album, but it didn't come fully into fruition before the Rev passed away. Then they changed it from a concept about the Nightmare theme being the story of someone who couldn't decipher between being in a nightmare/a fucked up reality, and chose to continue the Nightmare theme as being a nightmare because their best friend passed away.

@cbaptiste1996 No prob man. If the Rev really did do the drums on this song, it's worthwhile to compare/contrast to the final version with Mike Portnoy playing... Not to downplay Portnoy's obvious talent but the Rev made A7X's songs what they were through his drumming. A7X is still unbelievable, but it is missing one crucial element.

I mean, keep in mind: This is the drummer who recorded their entire first album in mostly one take. ((RIP))

People relax if you don't know what "short" means it doesn mean the amount of letters it means that it is a version of a name sort of like a nickname. ex. Robert=rob, bob, bobby, JAMES=jimmy. Timothy=tim, timmy. and so on. His name was James Owen Sullivan.

I have the Exact samething! Ppl it is the rev on the drums or electric drums Avenged gave it away with the limited edition nightmare and they also gave an acoustic Version of the album nightmare IT IS REAL :)

The proof is in the rolls. In how technical he was. And the fact that his Wikipedia says that "avenged sevenfold will release a demo of nightmare in which the rev plays an electric drum set" any sevenfoldist knows how the rev sounds. And that just proves Jimmy was so BA that mike portnoy played like him haha
