Dude, my apologies, I was trying to rate your video -- accidentally clicked on two stars instead of five stars. Don't know how to undo it. It's definitely an excellent 5 star video.
=) I love that you informed him. but I don't think one 2 star rating is really going to effect his gazillion well deserved 5 star rating. But you're awesome just the same Mike <3 it is a very useful video, can't believe it's free to watch lol
Would it be possible to make those videos available to people in the UK too? My mum would be wary of using paypal for foreign trasfers. ( I am 16 so I can't get my own paypal account yet)
Also, great videos. Every one that I have watched so far has helped loads.
My videos are availbale to people all over the world. Either via DVD's or online mpeg-4 versions of the DVD's. Visit my website to read about it. I just mailed a bunch of DVD's to a customer in the UK last week.
My light tones are always too dark so that there's no real transition to the highlight because it looks edgy on round objects.. and when the light tones are too dark, the dark tones don't seem dark enough. I don't understand how you can go on scribbling like forever and still it never gets too dark..
too complicated for me to answer here. However I always tell my students to divide their drawings into three values. Step back from your drawing too. I have a whole chapter on light and shade in my figure drawing DVD.
It could be your drawing is too dark because you are pressing too hard on your drawing instrument- slowly build up dark tones rather than "engrave" the darks on first go- hope it helps you.
@roodeey: yes, that could be one reason.. I guess I'm building up the dark tones too fast which makes them look unnatural. I'll try to improve that :) Greetings from Germany!

One of your students gave me a link to your YouTube account, and your videos are the most helpful and simple ones.
Thank you for sharing.
