I'm not sure these tasks really test their business accument, as they don't have to form a really tangible business plan that takes into account patent costs, manufacturing a prototype, arranging appointments with buyers, transport, staffing, or business taxes. They pretty much get taxied around, with retailers ready to listen to what they have to say. It's business dumbed down I'm afraid, and the fact they screw it up with all this extra help is terrible!
