  • Well at first when I saw you didnt have a slide I was thinking "ah fuck, dont even bother man" and I was about to close the window when you started playing....

    holy shit mate! 5*

that was a mean mean rendition man. Cool to see people having a go with their own approach rather than trying to duplicate.

    keep on goin!

  • You got the blues proper! Like the soul you put into this, not to mention the licks.

    Quality!

  • Thanks! Yeah, this one is a lot of fun to play, but it took a long time to get right.

  • fuck everyone who didnt give this five stars

  • Yeah! Let's fuck 'em up! :-) Thanks, man.

    Tim

  • man!! sick!! You DEFINITELY have to get you a slide bro, even though you said you hadn't gotten it down. Get you them dvd's by Bob Brozman and watch some vids on youtube and you'll be set. I think you'd LOVE playing slide once you get the hang of it man.....and i'd love hearing your rock the hell out with it!! keep jammin bro. you are inspiring others of us out here to keep doing the same ;)

  • Thanks, man, it's tought for me to know what to say in the face of such compliments... but if I am inspiring others than I am doing the best good I can do in the world. Thanks!

  • The most sincere compliment is not imitation, it's inspiration. You do inspire. :-)

  • Thanks, man... "We aim to please"! Glad you enjoyed.

  • cool blue

  • If I were to name it, I'd call it the 'Too Much Caffeine Blues!' :cD Very cool! 5 Star's!

  • Hah! Good call. I am indeed a java junkie. Thanks for rating!

  • You know this song has slide in it right....

  • I do! but unfortunately slide is a skill I've never managed to get down.

  • WAY cool!! :D

  • hey man this is INCREDIBLE wow, Osvaldo thanks for sharing this cuz its amazing, holy . . .

  • LOL. No law suite pending. LOL

  • Wow, you are incredible. How many fingers do you have? And boy do they fly. You got some cool blues going on. Great performance. Thx. Will you do your own version of Willie Nelson's song A Peaceful Solution in your own style? Love to feature you on Willie's Peace site. Liz

  • Hey, thanks... I'd love to contribute something to Willie's site. I'm getting set to go out of town for a few weeks, but if the offer's still open when I get back, sure! And thanks for the kind words!

  • Yes, when you get back will be great. Thanks so much. Have a good trip. Look forward to featuring you. Liz

  • WOW! My heads spinning!

  • NOTE: the creator of this video is not liable for torn tendons or bumping into things. :-)

  • Oh Hell YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, that's what everybody says... either that, or "Oh, HELL NO." :-)

  • Awesome picking and the mix on this video is really superb. 'Thanks' to You! (and MonkeylessJohn 4 sharing)

  • And thank you for taking the time to comment - cheers!

  • Wow!!! I'm not easily blown away, but I'm sure feeling more than a little "windswept" by this performance.

Seriouly incredible playing, and very honest and soulful vocals.

    Man!! This is so good!!!

  • Thanks man! Actually I have another take of this that I like better than this one... I'll let you know when I get around to posting it.

And especially thanks for sharing this with your friends... I can think of no higher compliment.

  • Trust me, I only share what I believe to be exceptional. You are truly talented, and your performances are honest, whcih is what I appreciate the most.

  • Thanks - I do try, it's nice to be appreciated.

  • wow ur great :) hey what strings r u using 0.10?

  • Thanks, man! I try to use 11s, but it's possible I was using 10s for this.

  • very good, i enjoyed it, if fact fuckin' excellent.

  • I don't know how I missed this comment when you posted it, but, thanks!

  • Y'see, if this stuff was on the radio everyday instead of the same 15 pop songs I could enjoy my work more.

That was some slick blues man.

  • That's quite a compliment - thanks a lot, man. Keep watching, I think in the next few weeks I'm finally going to have some time to start posting new stuff again.

  • I'll keep the dial set. ;)

  • that was awesome

  • that was annoying

  • Never heard anything like that before! This goes in my favorites. I'll be back to check out the rest of your stuff.

  • Hey, thanks a lot, man! I think we might have the basis of a little mutual appreciation society forming here...

  • This is a very very cool rendition of this song.

  • Hey, thanks a lot, man!

  • I generally consider his material untouchable, but you did a good job "pulling it off" (get it?)

  • Heh heh heh. Very funny, you.

    Thanks.

  • can't get over this one, I'm no judge of guitar. but to me that's freakin' awesome.

  • that's the coolest thing I saw on youtube today !

  • Hey, thanks a lot, man! Glad you liked it.

  • 5 from me.

  • ma cristo del signore...perchè tanta fatica?! Cazzu cazzu...

  • Well, I don't know what that means, but it sure sounds good - thanks!

  • WOW ! i like it !

  • great rendition of a RJ classic. Since you're playing that guitar at mach 5, u get 5 stars. well done bro. Cheers!!

    Goldbrick

  • Well! Thanks a lot, glad you liked it!

  • Great sound. Nothing like that sound

    good vid. 5*

i need to put your sound with my sound!!(voice) i really need moving tunes background.

  • Hmm, well, if you want, pick something of mine or point me to the sort of thing yo uwant and maybe I can lay down something instrumental for you to use.

  • Top D didnt stick out as much as the orignal if you know what I mean. Besides that it was nice.

  • Thanks for commenting... Funny, you're the second person in 24 hours to mention something like that. I think over time I unintentionally drifted into playing it as something a little more textural, I don't emphasize the individual notes so much anymore. I'm going to have to play around with it and decide how I like it best.

  • Excellent!!! Off the hinges! 5 stars and fav!

  • Hey, thanks man! I've got a version I like even better that just needs a little cleanup, probably have it up in the next couple of weeks, but appreciate the compliment! This is one of my fav tunes to play.

  • You just win a fan man. This is the real music.God bless you.

  • very enjoyable vid bro fived and faved ;o)

  • Thanks, s2c, coming from you, that's a compliment. Been enjoying seeing you pop up in collaborations lately, BTW - stumbled on "Give Peace A Chance" vid today. Fun stuff!

  • coolio bro, ive been fortunate to be involved in some great projects recently, thanks for noticing !

  • very unique mr progress, you got my sub easy :)

  • Hey, we got a little mutual appreciation society goin' here. Sweet!

  • Very sweet.. Great motion and fly... I think I can put you in the ' Player ' file...

  • Heh. Thanks, man... ain't nobody putting me in the "Golden-Throated Vocalist" file, that's fer sure.

  • You sir, are Incredible!!

  • Flatterer. ;-) Thanks.

  • You have amazing speed, and are just plain fun to watch.

  • Thanks, a lot! Even more fun to be!

As to the speed - thanks for the compliment, I have a few tricks I use to make things sound fast... open-string pulloffs and left-hand palm muting give the whole thing a sense of motion disproportionate to the effort it actually takes.

  • Still more encouragement -- thanks!

  • Holy sh t !!!

  • So awesome!

Wish I could play like THAT!!!

    5 **

  • Thanks, man, glad you like it!

  • another wikid vid. any chance you could do some video lessons?? There are some good lessons on here but i wana play like YOU.

    keep it up man

  • WOW. I actually told my friends you said that, thanks!

I do have it in the back of my head to do an instructional video, but it's a matter of time. Actually a lot of the stuff I post I recorded months ago and am only getting around to uploading now... YouTube is another willing complication in a very busy life. So I'll probably get an instructional thing up there, but it may be a while.

  • If you haven't, you should start fooling around in open G tuning. You'll find a lot of my stuff is easier than it sounds.

  • cool i look 4wad to some instructional vids.

I havnt tried open g tuning yet but il be sure to check it out soon. it just sounds pretty scary coz i havnt been playin all that long and am realy used to standard tuning

  • you could even maybe start your instructional vids with one explaining how to tune your guitar to open g... itd help me anyway

  • To tune, drop your high and low E strings to D, and your A to G, so instead of EADGBE you have DGDGBE. Then play around on the open strings, 3rd and 5th frets and everything will begin to fall into place.

There a lot of helpful videos if you search youtube for "open G".
