  • Look at all the right wing assholes clinging to this clip, it's just comedy.

  • Notice how he complains about the rotary phones he had as a kid. He failed to mention that his grandparents were like, "You're fucking talking to your friend on the other side of town...without WALKING!!!! ENJOY IT, YOU SPOILED LITTLE SHIT!"

  • for an atheist, this bit sounds like every Christian's P.O.V. that i know

  • perfect example of this seen here:

    h t t p //info.bonnaroo.com/bonnaroo/topics/i_keep_getting_an_error_message_when_i_am_trying_to_buy_tickets

  • oh my god he's fucking hilarious

  • 240p?!!! Are you kidding me??

  • If you like this clip, WATCH LOUIE on FX, before it gets cancelled like every intelligent comedy

  • I'm gonna laugh from down Hell when the Skynet happens.

  • This is contradictory. It is ambition what makes technology go beyond. If we were not exigent and were content with the amazing stuff we got, we'd not have any reason to try to go further.

  • @hohohotdog yeah --

  • Nyhhh this youtube video won't load, what a load of bullshi... Oh, a knock on the door. I wonder who that might be at this time in the evening.

  • Jeez...was anyone else annoyed at how conan keeps on having to throw in "yeah!"s and "totally!"s. Louis C. K. is fucking hilarious just let him *talk* and stop fucking interrupting him...

  • 3:32

  • Flying isn't amazing, you primitive tool! No, but really... It's not that amazing.

  • @NawnExistent Spoiled jerks like you make me sad.

  • @CSCalciano I think you misunderstood. It's not amazing because there's so much more that's possible. Why focus on something like that when there's the potential to do so much more?

  • Back in my day, we had to wait for slower than light transmissions and used text messages. You kids and your quantum internet and mind-reading holo-projection cards.

  • no comment complaining about 240p? his message is sinking in!

  • @player104

I appreciate it by understanding it.

240p is actually quite bad. It was okay--

    in 1990.

I remember when I used command prompt to run video games.

That doesn't mean I want games to go back to that.

  • @manictiger I REMEMBER THAT! Space Quest 3 on 5inch floppy for the win!

  • NY to CA, would never take 30 years, even if you go on your feet !

  • He uses this material and it's fukn funny every time I hear him say it...

  • I agree with this guy 100% We can use our cell phones as computers...we can fly anywhere in the world in a matter of hours...and people get so pissed over stupid shit. When it takes 5 seconds to process a credit card people act like they've been waiting for hours. People need to slow down and just enjoy the conveniences of life.

  • half way through it had to pause and buffer, this is bull shit! >:(

  • @scyanks7 Not sure if you are trolling or just not getting the message...

  • Where's the Indian Giver clip? I can't find it!!!!

  • Brilliant

  • Louis CK is Mexican. Your mind has now been blown.

  • so so true! every word

  • He's absolutely right!

  • next time im on a plane i should go "OMG WOOWWW!!!" and see how the flight attendants take it :)

  • next time im on a plane i should go "OMG WOOWWW!!!" and see how the flight attendants take it :)

  • No 1080p option?, pffft thats bullshit!!

  • How can these chat show hosts be so popular? Jay leno, David letterman, this guy.

I can find better talent stuck to the bottom of my shoe.

  • CK has thought me to appreciate and yell on a plane.

  • flying could be fun if it wasn't so fucking institutionalized- or if we weren't treated like cattle everywhere we go...

  • I love how people are trying to argue the science of a comedic rant. Get some fucking perspective.

  • I had trouble with my air travel company. I got mad for far too long until I remembered seeing this...I felt really really bad.

  • Generation x is spoiled bc our parents. Baby boomers, dont hate us bc we learned how to make awesome shit!!!

  • @247unavailable actually I'm pretty sure u didn't make shit, ur generation did. Just be thankful for it and shut your mouth, you credit stealing nobody.

  • I'm happy, and I remember those times.

  • Lol. So true. What spoiled brats we are. I love Louis ck

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOUIS CK

  • Video killed the radio store, doo di doooo.

  • @propanobend radio star ;)

  • This is a stupid clip... being complacent with technology will stop innovation. Do you think if everyone was 100% satisfied with the rotary telephone and there was no demand for things like cordless phones and push tone phones that things like that would have been invented? No.

  • @basketbal44champ its called giving things a chance, letting your phone take 5 seconds to turn on is a tad different from a rotary telephone, being patient, airplane wifif was just invented and we already have people whining when it goes down?

  • @basketbal44champ you are exactly the type of person Louis is talking about.

  • @basketbal44champ you are exactly the type of person Louis is talking about.

  • He's so fucking right and irony of all of this is that 99% of everyone watching this video, including me, are the unappreciative people Louis C.K. is talking about.

  • @joeratti I really think you're missing the point.

  • "Everyone on every plane should just constantly be going 'WOW!' You're FLYING! You're partaking in the miracle of human flight!'

I've NEVER been on a flight before in all 20 years of my existence. For those of you who have flown or do regularly, ENJOY THAT SHIT! I'd LOVE to take ONE flight in my life. That would be fucking awesome.

  • @l33tohs Seriously? I guess it would be an experience for someone who's never done it before but flying is boring, the airliners all suck, and you won't fit in to a seat unless you're sitting in first class or you're a 100lb girl.

Take offs are cool, landings are cool and you'd be better off sleeping through the 5 hours of nothing in between.

  • @l33tohs It's annoying, the concept of it is awesome but it's shit

  • Why is the video so grainy? omg

  • @joeratti

yeah I mean like across a few states or from say, California to New York it uses satellites

  • @joeratti

Depending on if it's a local call it will just go through phone lines through towers,

but if you're calling farther away or to another state then it will hit a tower, go over a satellite then go out to another tower.

  • ...non contributing ZERO!! ha ha ha That's you.

  • I have watched this 3 times in one day... great stuff

  • as i write this comment the video is loading. fck buffering lol this is utter bullshit omfg

  • @fromain1991 Wow, now that's irony.

  • why is conan sitting so close to him .. that would be so awkward

  • @joeratti Which then sends info to satellites. Or the tower near you can send info directly to Japan, but not to a village inside your country?

  • @joeratti haha I was going to say the same thing.

  • maybe we do need that

  • we are the tools, of our tools

  • i think this is the funniest of louis ck <3

  • @The45Falcon yes and the fact that i can communicate on this "computer" to reach you and many others on this is WAY TO MUCH!!! i honestly dont know why im even on this stupid "YOUTUBE" what the FREAK is wrong with the world and i just take it for granted my mom right now is pissed because she doesnt have reception on her PHONE in the basement!!! hahah we live just like the movie WALLE only way out is killing myself

  • "you watch a movie, you take a dump and youre home"

"well theres a nicer way to say it than that"

    "no!"

  • lol!

  • 2 of the greatest gingers in one room

  • Louie has a great point, but he's also failing to realize that if we became content with the technology we have now, we would become complacent and we wouldn't feel the need to progress. We take technology for granted partly because we're spoiled and forgot/never experienced the hardships people endured in the past, but as humans we constantly want to make life better. through expanding technology we can make our lives even better but first we have to acknowledge where improvements are needed.

  • LOL... give it a sec... its going to SPACE... let it get back from SPACE

  • Awesome totally true :)

  • "well there's a nicer way to say that"

    NOO!!!

  • Well quite frankly he should stop being kind of a hypocrite and not complain about how "tough" life was for him. He had a phone for instance, where he could talk to someone who wasn't in the room with him! But all he does is complain about the dial. This happens in every generation and we will be saying that our kids 20 years from now don't appreciate the new technology, while we had to endure the tough life at the beginning of the millenium with ONLY cell phones, and wi-fi on airplanes

  • @samfisher23

Absolutely true! I did it the other day myself. I was at a friend's house, who didn't have tevo, and I complained about not being able to pause a live football game. It's ridiculous really..

  • @samfisher23 He's not complaining about how tough it was for him. He's just making a point about how much things have gotten better, even compared to just a couple of decades ago. If he thought things were shitty or tough when he was a kid, he wouldn't be talking about how amazing airplanes are.

  • Funny but the guy got one thing wrong (not that it really matters) cellphones don't usually use satellites as a means of communication. They usually communicate through cellphone towers - fiber backhaul infrastructure etc. Not that it really matters it just erks me when people make that mistake XD

  • @Inmate527 really? well, it irritates me when people use simple words like 'irk' and don't know how to even spell it. :)

    hi!

  • who is this guy??

  • @g3orgeapp Louis C.K.-- get it right.

  • @g3orgeapp c.k louis

  • you non contributing zero lol

  • @robballer9

    Whoa

  • LMFAO, You watch a movie take a dump and you're home :)

  • There's a nicer way to say it than that...NO!

  • i think he was making a point about us not appreciating all the hard work that has gone about to bring about the modern day. That people don't appreciate how many people work to make money but their work is focused on improving our lives.

  • @alexandersydney... You make a good point. And in the bigger picture, it's like he more or less said in the video... the current generation really does come off as technologically spoiled idiots. Using communications as an example: can you imagine the reactions (especially of younger people) if all communications technology simply shut down? Think about it.

  • Non contributing zero! Haha!

  • 14 hours in a forest or in a boat at an lake. Sure I would enjoy that...but in a fucking plane or in a car you don't drive. It's creepy how people can sit so calmy in such places. It's like they are zombies...they have no will to move. The reason people get cancer and get bald is because they don't want to move. They rather slowly kill their body by sitting hours doing absolutely nothing that has any posetive effect on the world at all.

  • He got a few points...omg 40 min and whining. Try 14 hours sitting beside an old hag in a small space where you can't even stand up. No internet, no music no bathroom. They show three american love dramas about old spoiled girls whining about how their boy friend doesn't want to go shopping with them. Now that is torture? And omg the smell of 150 people in a plane after 14 hours fuck. Can hardly breath with these fat americans and drunks...shit stop being so spoiled faggot generation.

  • so true, so true

  • without tech you wouldn't be watching this you fucking idiots!

  • never thought about it lol

  • Makes you realize how spoiled we have become BECAUSE of all the technolgy. I loved the rotary phone!

  • I'm not that old but I still remember going around town showing off my 33.6kbps modem... and here I am complaining some cellphone data plan caps bandwidth to 128kbps after I hit the traffic limit..

    Feel so ashame .__.

  • So true. I'm only 26 and we actually had a rotary phone when I was little kid. I remember when it was a big deal when we got an extra line in the house so I could have a phone in my own room. SCANDALOUS!

  • we are pretty damn lucky to be on the tail end of 80 000 yrs of modern human development, but then people probably thought that 2000 yrs ago

  • GODDAMMIT! This video won't hurry up and play!! FUCK!!

  • @CoolerKing37 GIVE IT A SECOND! IT'S GOING TO SPACE!

  • The 31 people who "dislike" this. He is talking about you.

  • While we 'appreciate' the little things the guys that pay him are taking off with the rest of the planet..

  • We can't really appreciate something that we have lived our entire lives with. We don't know anything else. I'm sure he was considered spoiled by the elders in the generation before his. He was born with cars and phones and he didnt really know what it was like to not have those things. I have lived with the internet, hd tv's, and all this new technology my entire life so how am i supposed to know what it is like not to have it?

  • @ReachForTheCookie You have point there, but you're still a spoiled brat :-)

I agree with pretty much everything he said. But that's probably because I remember the time before cellphones and the internet.

  • @ReachForTheCookie Simple, make a video on your little adventure on not using technology for a week. If you do that, than you'll know what if feels like! im going to subscribe to you so i can see, okay? ok. and you should not say no because you have been and born around technology so do it. :D

  • I have like...4 0's in my number...don't hate me :(

  • "give it a second...it's going to SPACE"

  • appreciate the little things...AMEN BRO!

  • I'm ashamed to be part of that generation of know nothings. I really am.

  • Was just complaining that no one appreciates how great technology is and a co-worker told me to watch this. My version was boring and not funny, this guy's version very funny, love it.

  • Anybody know if the full interview is online somewhere?

  • "Everything's amazing right now and nobody's happy"

  • this guys is awesome. thank you.

  • louis ck!

  • Learn to capture video properly. At least the audio's fine.

  • @simpleton7

In the spirit of the clip: You are (probably) watching people on a liquid crystal display and hear them because electric current is transformed into sonic waves. Dude, this is awesome! Next thing someone says, the clips loads slowly... lol. Have a nice day!

  • @bigdickswagger you're just saying that because you're 26.

  • @bigdickswagger Because you didn't come off as a completely moronic prick with that comment...

  • tag this with yt:stretch=16:9 to fix the aspect ratio. This will fix that squished effect.

  • @bigdickswagger you're trying too hard.

  • @bigdickswagger Really? 'Cause Louis was speaking the truth in this video and it was funny. So lets just say that YOUR truth wasn't funny.

  • @bigdickswagger are you trying o be funny? Because you failed.

  • Jesus these r some boring comments...

  • @OfferingEngine I don't think Jesus cares

  • I see twenty-five self-centered egotistical know-it-all tweenagers voted this down. Grow the fuck up and appreciate what you have. So many fucking spoiled brats today living in the ME generation wanting instant gratification. Just wait til the majority of you group up and realize no one is actually going to kiss your ass because you think you are entitled to having it kissed.

I will sit back and wait ... muwahahahah....

  • @lordtalon69 I'm 15 right now, however I can not agree more. Earlier this year at lunch time during school, my friends mobile phone wouldn't send a text to another kid that was at school so he threw it on the ground and stomped on it, HOW IGNORANT AND DEPRECATIVE HAVE POEPLE BECOME! Plus there is another story that can derive from that story, and that's school, we have these amazing opportunities to become what our parent most often couldn't and most teens just swear at the teachers in class.

  • Too bad Louis CK didn´t replace the old and tired Jay Leno. What a difference in "funnyness" that would be. Give the guy a talkshow.

  • "Is The Speed Of Light Too Slow For You" LOL

  • We as humans are programmed to be dissatisfied --- well thats the reason we are the dominant species today! I do agree with what CKL says but all I'm saying is that its no good if we are all just happy and satisfied people, we need a little bit of restlessness too.

  • best thing i've seen in a long time

  • LOL @ the 'two zero' remark. They're a great duo.

  • Who is this guy?!

  • @Moneypussy420 Thatmanoverthere is right, "He is so money" is pretty damn douchy.

  • Every time I watch Louis CK and Conan together, I get a sense that Conan is proud of his guest. He's always first to laugh at Louis' jokes, and he occasionally glances at the audience as if to say, "Isn't this guy great?"

    Best bromance ever.

  • Airplanes. How do they work?

    Fucking miracles.

  • @Ghavin86

They use giant magnets, it's pretty miraculous XD

  • The complaint about the onflight internet failure nailed a problem I have with those who insist people have "a right to health care". How can you have an enforceable right to make taxpayers buy you technology that didn't even exist when you were born?

  • I had a similar moment when I brought out my old Atari 2600 and my son was stunned to find out there was no pause button.

  • @TheLastBrainLeft Lol oh wow

  • @Moneypussy420

Speaking of douchebag, the expression "money" as in "He is so money" is an incredibly douchy expression.

Regardless, I find both of these men to be comedic geniuses.

  • lol dude where im from its just like how it was when you were a kid.

im from honduras and we are really poor, so i know what reality it is, life here its fucking awesome. LOUIS CK favorite comedian ever!

  • the only thing i dont like a bought flying is the length of the flight cos i fly from new zealand to england alot i love the food never anoying ppl free food drink and watch any movie listent to music go on your laptop on the net anything and i dunno why ppl complain a bought the food i fly in economy class the lowest class and i get fruit salad a cake or muffin tuna steak with peppercorn sauce with french fries and a coffey whats bad a bought that and lolies and iceblocks

  • I love Conan, but he's just along for the ride avoiding participation because he's afraid it'll offend someone. not like the comic relief dog didn't do anything like that?!?! Louis stands alone while Conan hides behind his tv stations protection when it comes to offensive humor. Louis made Conan look like a timid introvert here, and by Conan's tapping leg and body language.. he didn't like being the underdog. Good Job Louis!! You know you're the man when you make Conan sketchy.

  • this is an excellent clip

  • LOL @ the idiots who thumbed this down.

  • what did conan contribute to this interview?

  • i love this!!!

  • Why is Conan so uncomfterable hearing Lewis out?? I love how he responds to Conan in the end with "NO!!"

  • I like this guy, one of the few responsible people around!

  • How very true! But then isn't it also our job as aging people to say how the children of today don't appreciate what they have (little ingrates), how tough we had it when we were young (but how meaningful it all was "back then" compared to now), and how life was so much simpler when we were young (though I think perhaps because younger people are simpler ~ lack of life experience)? Still true. Still funny.

  • @jupiter1217

What bugs me about this isn't technology. Technology is excellent. But your life isn't better just because you have THINGS. Get some perspective. Life still sucks, people still have issues.

Life was better in old times because of LESS technology. People felt like they were contributing to something, and they knew how. Today I have machines doing shit for me that I don't know how to do myself. Does that help my self-esteem, knowing that if the machines break down, I'm fucked?

  • @jupiter1217 we like technology and "things" because they are an extension of ourselves and they reflect our wealth and success and sociologically they are what makes us do what we do because they motivate us.

  • So true......!

  • underrated genius CK

  • "you non-contributing 0!" hahahahahhaa.

  • haha, I'd like to slap some ignorant fellow American's in the face with this guy.

  • @MCMcreations

    Right on Dude!

  • who else clicked on the blu
