  • @IraHayesIraHayes Funny that you say that...

  • @palescale funny or spot-on?

  • @IraHayesIraHayes No, just funny..

  • @IraHayesIraHayes So you like this guy?

  • this guy is an idiot

  • @spurrier07 THANK YOU! Go here and read my comments. They aren't being taken too well by the trolls...But I stand by my words.

  • you need to sue for violation of your rights

  • Thank you sir.

  • The problem with people like those whom Dave Ridley calls "authoritarians" is they are so often behave as if they were three-year-olds: They want what they want because they want what they want--*because they want it.*! WANT IT! Nothing more.

    Case in point.

  • I respect Dave, but I have to disagree with his interpretation of the second amendment The only was this county can remain free is if the citizens have a physical means of securing their freedom.

  • i agree the IRA fought the British govt in the 80's with the armalite and the balot box. in the US we are not nearly at that point but it has been done sucessfully here and elsewhere. Read Che

  • The IRA killed hundreds of civilians between 1970-2005. More than 1/3 of the deaths caused by the IRA were civilians. The IRA killed more civilians than they killed British soldiers, than they killed police officers, than they killed rival paramilitaries....

Many of the civilians killed were women and children.

Thousands more civilians were injured and maimed.

  • "Where's the glory in bombing a Remembrance Day parade of old age pensioners, their medals taken out and polished up for the day. Where's the glory in that? To leave them dying or crippled for life or dead under the rubble of the revolution, that the majority of the people in my country don't want."

  • "Fuck the revolution! They don't talk about the glory of killing for the revolution. What's the glory in taking a man from his bed and gunning him down in front of his wife and his children?"

  • It sounds so much better when bono says it. Let him say it.

  • I agree. His words make my point much better than I could hope to.

  • My mum is from Ireland. You don't have to worry anymore. The good friday agreement of 1998 has by and large been successful. Its not like it used to be. NI is a pretty peaceful place and good place to live now. Take a trip over and see for yourself.

  • "I've never been convinced that guns are a very good defense against the government..."

    Noam Chomsky once expressed a similar sentiment. In a 1994 interview he said;

"Many people who advocate keeping guns have fear of the government in the back of their minds. But that's a crazy response to a real problem."

He also said; "transnational..concentrated.. totalitarian corporate power is the main reason why the government is not benign."

  • hey dave

just now called the jail and pushe option 4. the capt insists that you are being taken well care of and are not being singled out for retribution by staff or other inmates.

i hope he is telling me the truth.

    keep up the good work.

    joe

  • Jailed for censorship. I can't think of a more victimless crime than that. Stay strong, and thanks for standing up for our liberties.

  • Dave Ridley is the new Gandi.

  • Dave,

It's a travesty that the court charged you with contempt for videotaping in the courtroom. Judges should not have that kind of authority.

"I've never been convinced that guns are a very good defense against the government.....I think even the American revolution could have been won nonviolently."

I couldn't have said it better myself.

    Thanks Dave.

  • We'll be up there fighting with you soon, guys.

    Stand strong!

  • You Sir are a true patriot!

  • My thoughts are with you.

  • Hey Ridley what's going on with your Video I usually watch it on my I-Phone but for some reason this one is marked to not play on Cell-Phones?!?

  • Ridley, you are Irish/American and you say "The American Revolution could've been won with out violence."???

The British kept the Irish down for 600YEARS! A record.

Violence got them out...true enough, sad to say.

  • I just watched the movie "Independence Day." Maybe the aliens shouldn't have let Ridley into the ship.

  • SEE ya later Dave dont get discouraged

  • very enlightening on the guns issue.

  • Be safe Dave. You will be missed

  • The Founding Fathers understood that when the people are in possession of their guns then they are Citizens, when the government takes guns away from the people they are slaves. I'm not condoning violence, but I'm not for slavery either. 90 million Americans own firearms, guess what they are not criminals, they are Citizens.

  • Dave, you might consider comparing and contrasting the cost to the state of NH for your imprisonment vs. the proposed fine. I wonder if you can get some kind of tax break for an unconstitutional imprisonment? Where does a judicial order censuring the press in a public area stand anyways? Appeal? Lawsuit against the "man" and/or state of NH? Escalation, do not be intimidated. I would not be surprised if this is their first attempt to silence you.

  • go ridley!

  • Dave, you rock bro!!!! Don't get a jailhouse Tat, LOL... We love you out here in Hawaii

  • Thanks for your small sacrifice, Dave.

  • "small" sacrifice? Have you ever been to jail? Upstairs with the windows open in October with steel bunks and no mattress or pillow? small?

  • "Have you ever been to jail?"

Yes. For over 370 days straight.

    "Small?"

Yes. Small. I don't think even Dave himself would consider this a major ordeal... It is largely symbolic, in my opinion. I am not minimizing it. If anything, like he said it's a great opportunity to report on the conditions inside the jail, talk to inmates about their grievances, etc.

  • Dave, I love your idea of the American Revolution being won with non violence. But I can't make that work in my head. Please make a video (when you are freed from jail) to explain how that would have worked.

Good luck in jail and thank you for sacrificing for our liberty. it's not in vain.

  • I would also like to hear more of your opinion on this subject, Dave. Please weigh in on it when you have a chance!

  • Big brother likes to watch, not be watched.

  • Criminal lol, the country should be ashamed that the police & govt use millions of cameras to log our every move but the govt deems it a crime for the ex free people of the country to hold them to account ,we r so lazy that the govt produces 166,000 Nagasaki bombs of depleted uranium ammunition every year 4 wars, the same isotope as 166,000 Nagasaki size bombs n we never onces raise voices, even when it means we all get cancer from DU,were a nation of losers who abrogated out responsibility's

  • Keep up the good work Dave!

  • Thank god, this criminal Ridley should be doing life. 6 days? thats it? this mad man had a camera, i cant believe he didnt get life.....

i thought we lived in a FREE country. i dont bother arguing with people anymore, i just tell them to define the word FREE, then say we live in a FREE country, they then shut up

  • Boy, the streets sure are safer now. (For a few days anyway) Thank you Corporation of New Hampshire for protecting yourselves - err, us - from this criminal.
