Use minoxidil (aka generic rogaine). You must commit to it for a long time to see any results. Don't take propecia cause I've seen hundreds of testimonials saying it can cause permanent sexual problems. Also eat less fat to lowser your t levels, eat less carbs/sugars becaue it lowers insulin and therefore lowers DHT production, eat more protein. you dont need to eat less but just change what you eat. get a 30 minute walk everyday. DO NOT muscle build. surgery or hair tattoo is a last resort.

I believe hair loss can be due to stress,diet and most importantly - genetics. Brushing your hair only stimulates the blood citculation of your scalp, which helps a little. But there's too many factors at play .

It's mainly genetics so take a good look at your dad and your mothers father and if both of them are showing dome from loss then you are screwed. My father hadn't much hair but he tended to keep it ultra short anyway so he never cared. My brother took after him and the hairline went racing back in his late twenties but I lucked out and take after my mothers side. Masses of old men even in their nineties with shocks of white hair thicker than men half their age so I'm doing fine.
@Silkie341 the only thing you inherit is the life style from your parents. So if your dad lost his hair due to unhealthy food for example, you only have to change it and you will keep your hair.

I'm 22 years old and I was losing hair significantly in the front and hair in general all over. After 4 months on rogaine, I've noticed significant improvement in all areas and the only somewhat noticeable baldness on me now is a slight reduction at the temples, yet that has even improved too. I'm not a hair expert at all but I've heard that rogaine works really well if you're young and experiencing male pattern baldness and I'm a testament to that.

And i'll give you a few quick tips, reduce your body fat till you can see your abs, wear boxers not briefs, drink lots of water and never ever eat junk food (especially with cholesterol). There are many more technical things (to do with the male circadium rhythem) but doing those few things alone is far more effective than any known drug/supplement.

It is a problem I agree, I have suffered from severe hair loss since it started going in my early 20's and I'm now 46, it has progressively gotten worse, I am using Regain or Rogain as it's called in the USA, to see how it goes, it seems to have at least arrested the development, what I do anyway is keep my hair very short, it always grows fine on the back and side of my head, it's just the top that is the problem, keeping it short makes it look much less noticeable.
-sadly once we lose hair, no coming back at list not for now :(
-minoxidil works only in 30% of cases
-Propecia has a lot of side-affects that are not to be joking
if something else helps you then you are lucky cuz you never had the inherited baldness in the first place

Having said that I respect any man who sees it happening and learns to live with it rather than going for a comb over or toupee. It's mainly genetics so take a good look at your dad and your mothers father and if both of them are showing dome from loss then you are screwed. My father hadn't much hair but he tended to keep it ultra short anyway so he never cared. My brother took after him and the hairline went racing back in his late twenties but I lucked out and take after my mothers side. Masses of old men even in their nineties with shocks of white hair thicker than men half their age so I'm doing fine.

I'm 22 years old and I was losing hair significantly in the front and hair in general all over. After 4 months on rogaine, I've noticed significant improvement in all areas and the only somewhat noticeable baldness on me now is a slight reduction at the temples, yet that has even improved too. I'm not a hair expert at all but I've heard that rogaine works really well if you're young and experiencing male pattern baldness and I'm a testament to that.

@thins112 That sounds like a good start actually. And no it's certainly not a cosmetic answer, it's systemic.. And i'll give you a few quick tips, reduce your body fat till you can see your abs, wear boxers not briefs, drink lots of water and never ever eat junk food (especially with cholesterol). There are many more technical things (to do with the male circadium rhythem) but doing those few things alone is far more effective than any known drug/supplement.

I tried to take Propecia for about 7 months a couple of years ago.
During that time i didnt notice any hairloss.
The thing is that it was expensive about 90 bucks a month so I stopped taking it.I heard that it works on about 87% of the men that use it.
Dont know if this is true but it seemed to work on me.
I think you should try it and see if it works on you.

guys you need to get your hair tested to see if you have hair fibers in that area first , other wise you can't grow hair back. you lose most of your hair in your 20's and 30's then it slows and stops when you hit 60 , this is the reason transplant doctors dont advertise hair loss much and tell you fuk all so dont think about surgery it looks fake just like there awards and acheivements they make up . their experts at photo trickery and air brushing.

The result is not stuning but is "almost"visible, the hair on the topfront become thicker first ,and now i have wick hair where was shiny before:) For sorry The proces is verry slow especialy in hair line whery apeared only a few hairs.I have not side efects almost.

It is a problem I agree, I have suffered from severe hair loss since it started going in my early 20's and I'm now 46, it has progressively gotten worse, I am using Regain or Rogain as it's called in the USA, to see how it goes, it seems to have at least arrested the development, what I do anyway is keep my hair very short, it always grows fine on the back and side of my head, it's just the top that is the problem, keeping it short makes it look much less noticeable.

-sadly once we lose hair, no coming back at list not for now :(
-minoxidil works only in 30% of cases
-Propecia has a lot of side-affects that are not to be joking
if something else helps you then you are lucky cuz you never had the inherited baldness in the first place
