  • I first heard this in the late 1970s on KMOX radio in St. Louis. They had a Saturday morning show which featured about three hours of vintage comedy bits (from Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy, W.C. Fields, the Bickerson's, etc.). It was hosted by Jack Carney and my father actually recorded this bit, among many others, on an actual eight-track cassette. I miss that show, my dad and 1970s St. Louis radio (hey, who doesn't). Thanks for the download.

  • So where is the post of this where it's in synch and looks like a film...??

  • OH MY GOSH! I heard this years ago on the Dr. Demento Show. I've always wondered where this came from. I always thought it was Lily Tomlin! Now I know!!! Thanks so very much.

  • I use "K" as in knife and "P" as in pneumonia ALL THE TIME and it always gets a giggle. I should send money for royalties!

  • @SwankyCub So do I! And, nobody ever gets the joke... But, I keep trying!

  • @SwankyCub Or how about P as is Psychotic... or one of those!

  • Ms. Jones has me in hysterics. Elaine and Mike are geniuses.

  • "K" as is knife. Classic!

  • This is much improved over the other clip of this skit. Thanks!

(This is one of my favorite M & N routines.)
