you can just download GIMP 2, take some photos or pictures, open them with GIMP 2, drag one over another and save it as a .gif data...that's much easier

if it's just an unanimated .gif, then you will still have to make an animated video THEN make it into a gif

a .gif format can still be a still picture as well as an animated/moving picture

1. Windows Vista can't support animated .gif backgrounds.

2. You are trying to convert a Windows Movie maker PROJECT file. You must finish and upload your movie onto your pc when you finish by clicking on the publish or save to my computer link

i have to do this because my camera saves my videos in mp4. Try a couple, most dont work or have a watermark over the video after conversion so it takes a while. But remember, the background should be less than 4 seconds or it won't work

You did not save the video as a video file. You left it as a project file, same thing happens with Windows Movie Maker. If you just click "save as" it only saves it as the movie maker project file. You must click on save to my computer or publish for it to save in a movie file. I do not use your software so I can't tell you what to click to save it as .wmv, .flv, .avi, .mp4, or any of these video files. Try to find a button that is similar to "Save to My Computer" or "Publish"

..actually its pretty simple...just do like this..search at google free nice picture.gif then click on the image..when its open right click it and setas background..now u have a moving background..but if u want personalizw just search also at google gif maker... make ur own gif and save and set it as background..no more chit chat..that simple..
