I'm not sure as to the real reason why Jim Calvert left the show or if he was merely replaced by the producers. Stacy Haiduk did / does have a role on All My Children, yes.

Ok. That's not a different Jimmy. This characters's name is Andy. That explains alot. My mistake, Jim Calvert played TJ White, not Jimmy Olsen, sorry. So did TJ ever show back up before the series ended, or did they ever explain why TJ was gone from Shuster College?

No, I don't believe T. J.'s character ever made another appearance after Season ONE's end. And the only explanation mentioned on the show is in the episode With This Ring, I Thee Kill where I believe Clark points out "T.J.'s" photo mad the front page of his dad's paper which would be the Daily Planet.

I like the series, but I thought John Haymes Newton from Season 1 looked more like "Superboy". Gerard wasn't bad, but he looked more like "Superman" then Superboy.
