  • This is what I like to listen to. Nothing but pure shredding and talent. Nothing talented about breakdowns, its all formulated.

  • You say Jeff Loomis has no feeling? Did you even listen to this fucking song? 1:01 Now tell me that doesn't sound like feeling!!!

  • no-feel shredder??......HIS SONGS DONT NEED LYRICS!..... THAT SAYS IT ALL!

  • I WANT JEFF LOOMIS TO SHOUT FIRE AT MY FUNERAL!!!!!!

  • POWER!!!....GODAMN IT!!!!

  • the fucking drums in jeff loomis songs get me pumped

  • this song is sooo epic

  • but and NEVERMORE?? who is playing ???

  • I think I'm starting to get an obsession for this guys music :D

  • best melodic shredders list:

    1. Gus G

    2. Jeff Loomis

    3. Andy James

    they are the best

  • @MatKiller1197 Rusty Cooley, and Chris Broderick, I think Chris is the best out there now hands down.

  • This is my favourite album.

  • Why do people compare Jeff Loomis to a god, I mean hes cool and all but he's not Jeff Loomis.

  • I thaught this is best song ever but than I heard other songs of Jeff and now I think he is the most awesome guy who has ever played guitar.

  • i hate when ppl compair jeff loomis to god!! yeah he's really really good but he's not jeff loomis!! XD

  • @Ghfreak31415926535 HAHA that is awesome! I might make another account to give it two thumbs up.

  • This sure sounds ALOT like his works in Nevermore none the less its still great!

  • The only thing "Mindless" about this is clicking the dislike button!

  • It´s sooo fuckin difficult to combine technique with so much feeling. Loomis did it, he does it, and hes just the Master himself and THE KING !!

  • there is nothing "mindless" about this

  • Pretty epic starting riff

  • Jeff IS writing Metal history with these pieces of art.

  • Jeff loomis is the king of this century

  • Sounds super similiar to Moonrise, the verse riff does indeed.

  • @jl7986 hammet??? "hammett very skill guitarist" WTF!!! seriously hammett!!! he is not the same with hetfield after and justice for all they are not "very skilled guitarist. Maybe Hetfield is skilled but hammett no.

  • jeff loomis+chris broderick+peter wildoer= \m/

  • Killier album , waiting to see what Jeff will release next, really enjoy his playing, all the best to anyone rocking a 7 string !!hell big major sound he shreds like a machine full of feeling, dynamic guitarist!! thanks for sharing.

  • Loomis requires an Epic singer , how about a male and female ?

up to him ,the solo instrumental is still very cool .

  • @jaydog664 amen to that soo is pat O'Brien from cannibal corpse even jeff said he was way to underrated

  • shit if you want shredders with no feel try Michael Angelo Batio or Yngwie Malmsteen

  • @kimimaro9876 If you say in front of Jeff that Yngwie has no feeling you propably get slapped .... in his videos and lessons Jeff says when he heard of yngwie it was the major influence!

  • @CoolKwstas123

Any body who plays metal lead guitar owes yngwie huge helping of praise. Malmsteen showed the metal world that there is more to guitar than blues based riffs. Like Van Halen Yngwie changed metal forever.

  • aweesomeee....

  • A demi-god amongst us!!! xO

  • @SYNAPSIS748 =O Nergal isn't the only one then!

  • Jeff & Warrel are indeed Nevermore \\m//

  • the intro of this song reminds me of arch enemy riffs... but this is more badass since its a solo album made by GOD

  • hetfield, hammett, murray, dimebag darryl ... they are all very skilled guitarists and play with worlds of substance ... but loomis being much more technically proficient, tends to get bashed by non-fans for being a no-feel shredder ... umm what? Jeff plays with just as much feeling as they do, and is just as good a song writer ... give him a close listen and you'll see why i beg to differ with you.

  • @jl7986 Kirk Hammett does not play with substance as much as Jeff Loomis. No offense meant, I'm just saying going wahhwahhwhahhhawhahwh =/= substance. I love Kirk though, but Jeff is far superior. Jeff is a much better songwriter, his phrases and transitions are flawless, and his emotion and substance is palpable. I mean, listen to Azure Haze and Sacristy. The latter brings tears to my eyes.

So yes I agree with you =D

  • @MotionlessGhost886

Kirk wrote parts of Fade, Trapped, Escape, Creeping, Master, Thing, Sanitarium, Disposable, and Damage. I don't know which parts, but James obviously writes more than he does. I think Jeff and Warrel share writing credits on all the Nevermore songs, so if you are comparing the song writing of those two bands you are probably looking at Loomis versus Hetfield, not Hammett. My short opinion on that subject: Metallica better variety, Nevermore fewer bad songs. Draw.

  • @jl7986 Jeff is fuckin fantastic, no doubt, I don't understand how people can say he's just a shredder with no feeling. Right on

  • @jl7986 Hetfield? Are you fucking kidding me?

  • @jl7986 not everyone outwardly shows feeling while playing. it would be fuckin hard while playin jeff loomis solos because of the concentration.

PS never mention hammett and skilled guitarists in the same comment again

  • @MegaRattlehead666 i know hammett is horrible.

  • @jl7986 because people..the masses are only stupids.

  • @jl7986 dude, i totally agree, Zero order phase feels just like an album with vocals, because he uses his guitar in that way, he get's emotion from vocals

  • @jl7986 No offence but Hetfield and Hammett are not very skilled at all. They are terrible.

  • @ThePugnaciousAnt Fuck you! They have more tallent than you. ; )

  • @MetallicaFan4ever5 Lol, with a username like that you definitely aren't biased whatsoever xD. Even as a Metallica fan you must admit that while they wrote great music back in the 80's (everything up to Black), Cliff Burton was the only one in Metallica who was actually "special". Hammett and Hetfield are not good guitarists and thats pretty much fact. Lars is also a very overrated drummer. I know people 15 years old that can play pretty much anything he can play.

  • @ThePugnaciousAnt Dude, James is an amazing rhythm player, he also write great riffs, (Death Magnetic) Kirk is a good (not that great player) but he does fit in the band, Metallica is still kicking ass (Not LULU), since Cliff died they wrote good albuns too. Justice, Black and Magnetic. And about Lars, speed isn't everything, he plays very well, better live that on studio. I don't know what the hell do you think, but i don't give a fuck. Stay with your oppinion. Happy hollidays ; )

  • @MetallicaFan4ever5 While I disagree with you, I'm very glad of the way you expressed your opinion and didn't go fanboy rage like most people would. Happy holidays to you too man! :D

  • @ThePugnaciousAnt That's crazy talk. Hammett, while overrated, is still a very skilled guitar player. And Hetfield, well he is easily one of the greatest rhythm guitarists in the history of metal. His right hand attack is in a league of its own and his riff writing skills are pretty much unparalleled. People love to rag on Metallica but the fact is they didn't get to where they are today by sucking.

All that being said, Loomis is a fucking GOD.

  • @jl7986 Hetfield, Murray, Dime, and Kirk to a lesser extent all defined their respective genre, inspired generations of guitarists, and created new genres. Loomis, while the man, is not just as good of a song writer as those three. He's great, but he's yet to write any breakthrough songs that capture a generation of metal fans and inspire artists to create music. He is probably this generation's best guitarist, though.

  • @HurricaneTBag

His songwriting capability is what I admire most about him. True, his music never reached the status and influence of, say Hetfield's (and probably never will), but This Godless Endeavour is, in my opinion, amongst the best Metal albums ever created. And that's because of the overall quality of the songs, not just his playing ability (which is, I think we can all agree on that, outstanding).

  • The opening riff makes me think of an advanced Arch Enemy. Loomis tops Amott without a second thought, as great of a guitarist Michael is!

  • @jaydog664 well undernoticed not underrated becuase if you have heard of him hear him play you sure as hell dont underate him

  • 0:31

  • @abrookes1985 this guy has more talent in his pinky than kirk hammett and dave murray. they may have been major innovators in metal but many have surpassed them, loomis being one of them. By all means go shag james hetfield if its him your more into.

  • @hiddeninmist11 I still MegaDave is still the best but yea kirk hammet aint that great..

  • Lamb of God is more homo than 74 dicks touching.

  • @abrookes1985 Iron Maiden isn't even that fast. All i'm saying is your in the Metal genre so you shouldn't be suprised when the music is dark and fast. Original....no. Metal....oh yes!

  • how can someone dislike it? :|

  • @abrookes1985 Its metal, what the fuck do you expect?

  • @jaydog664 fuck yeah he is but he's the best

  • I dont like Lamb of Loomis, Loomis only is perfection!

  • i wonder if the album cover is symbol of twin towers and the New World Order

    Ground ZERO

    New world ORDER

  • aaaaaaaaaah bellissima....

  • unfucking believably good...:) rock fucking on jeff fucking loomis..

fuck i think i got an orgasm...

  • the sickest album cover RESPECT

  • @jaydog664 i think you mean not known enough, because if anyone who knows Jeff Loomis and disagrees that hes a GOD is legally insane

    and their mothers are whores

  • Why are some of the suggestions Lamb of God? Lamb of God suggestions shouldn't even be on this video.

  • @DarqTalonAzel Lamb Of God is OVERRATED.

  • @ApocalypseEon LAMB OF GOD is FUCKING your mother as we speak you punk ass bitch

  • @deathbycupid Well Said Sir

@ApocalypseEon take a straight razor to the bathroom and cut your ears off then send them in a box to Chris Adler to burn because that is the only way to repent for the sin of the mouth you have commited

  • @ApocalypseEon Lol >says Lamb of God is overrated.

    > Has incubus and rage against the machine in favorites.

    >Obvious inbred virgin is obvious.

  • YOU KNOW WHAT THE most overrated crap is...

bringing up someone is overrated or underrated. WHO FREAKIN CARES.

RATING? What the heck does that mean in music..is this competition? ALL THAT MATTERS IS WHAT COMES OUT OF THE SPEAKERS--people's comments cannot affect what comes out of the speakers.

Acting like a bunch of pathetic, boasting, infants about who is better is the same as pooping in your diaper at 2 years old. It affects nothing--it doesnt change the sound. It just identifies a child.

  • @Rizzy55 thanks for bringing up a pointless argument like a child.

  • you bitches grow some will ya? loomis is god . . end of.

  • @jaydog664

i think is ok that he is underrated otherwise all retards would just say o yeah i like metal bla bla bla loomis bla bla bla

  • still can't get over JL...

  • @jaydog664 would you get 90 thumbs up if he was underrated? or would he play at EMG if he was underrated?

  • so the the two people who didn't like this are dave mustaine and chris broderick, whos the third? ... ;)

  • @bombershard I thumbed up your comment by accident. What the fuck are talking about mate, chris is friends with jeff and dave asked him a couple of years back to join megadeth...

  • @Joeseffel dude it's a joke, thats why theres a smiley face at the end. calm down, :P

but keep in mind jeff stated in an interview that he was annoyed with past members of nevermore

leaving after officially becoming members, though he didn't state names, he was probably talking chris?

also, come on; he declined to go into megadeth when asked. jeff audtioned for megadeth when he was 16 and then refused to be a member when dave actually asked. thats a sort of slap in the face, yeah?

  • @bombershard Ah my bad, haha. Still, chris was never officially a member since he never wrote with the band, and to be fair dave has turned away great guitarists from megadeth, i'm sure one doing the opposite didn't peeve him too much.

  • @Joeseffel it's cool, man. true, dave has turned down a lot of great musicians, but the guys he is asking to play in the band don't seem very interested in doing it e.g. jeff loomis, marty friedman(was asked to come back, but refused) ~ chris also stated that it's somewhat difficult to work with dave, not his words, but his wording was basically saying, "dave wants things very specific, and if its not done, you're out" and considering jeff loomis is a real easy going guy, that wont work out.

  • @bombershard Yeah, i get the feeling that jeff wouldn't step down from playing seven strings the way chris was happy to, or change his amp company etc. So i can fully see why jeff wouldn't wanna join megadeth.

  • @bombershard its good that dave turned down jeff, he was 16 when he asked to join...dave was still going in and out of drugs and so was menza, could have easily been the same for him if he joined

  • @xXxBuLLeTxXx1 After Glen Drover left Megadeth, Dave asked Jeff Loomis is he wanted to join Megadeth and Jeff Loomis said no thanks. Then Dave asked Chris Broderick and he said yes.

  • @megaluisdeth i meant from back in the 1990 rust in peace era :P

  • @bombershard HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA not chris man, but bwhahahah @ mustaine

  • @bombershard Kirk Hammett. hahaha xD jk Metallica/Megadeth fan =D.

  • Man I can I cant get enough of that riff in the back ground at 0:32 - 0:46

  • thats a solid drummer.

  • @Ghaeis666 I call Jeff Loomis day every year, on Jeff Loomis' birthday, September 14th!

  • @jaydog664 Even if he was known as the best guitarist he would be still underrated

  • @Ghaeis666

yeeah thats an excellent idea and on that day we will convert all mainstream fools into metal.....!!!

  • @benniebees ...Wouldn't that make the good music mainstream?

  • I'll be sure to shout "Fire" at the next funeral I attend.

  • <3 leff loomis

  • nothing wrong with hitting dislike. some people have different tastes in music.

    just face it.

personally I love this song and artist.

  • @Ghaeis666 well, I think we have one... 14 september ( is my birthday too ;) )

  • Esta canción es una de mis favoritas, todo un himno del metal progresivo. Gran guitarrista y más que eso músico en esencia, Jeff Loomis vivirá por siempre con sus riffs rompiendo la cotidianidad de las futuras generaciones.

  • @Ghaeis666 i couldnt vote more than once.so consider this my second thumbs up.

  • I just bought a Loomis signature...I havent touched my six string since

  • @jetassistedtakeofff awesome i wish i could afford it but my bc rich will have to do for now

  • @jetassistedtakeofff how does it feel to shred on it?

  • @elcampoesverde dude imagine if John and Jeff made a guitar album together,,theres a mind fuck to think about right there lol

  • @itsvoogle Nah John Petrucci doesn't even come close to Jeff Loomis when writting riffs, If I were able to choose one guitar player with amazing leads and rhythms that would be Per Nilsson from Scar Symmetry (another 7 stringer)

  • anybody else thinks this sounds kinda like moonrise? idk they are both amazingly extremely greatly wanna make me do a backflip songs. I fucking love jeff loomis. ive been listening to him since the release of TGE. and i love him and nevermore. BTW i'm 15. not everyone my age listens to bullshit music

  • @Xl3p3rm3ss1ahx yeah, I'm sick of all these kids listening to all of this gay auto tuned music that takes no skill at all. In school thats all I hear. This is real music that actually takes talent.

  • I've been playing guitatr for years jumping from Metallica to Pantera to Dream Theater to Panteraforever again to John Petrucci & other guitar heroes...

But this guy really breaks my mind!!! hoooooly sshhiitt!!!!!

  • @Ghaeis666 that day is and forever will be september 14th

the day the legend was born

  • MANswers said if you play music to 200 decibels you can die but if you play this to 90 decibels it will summon Chuck Norris and cause instant death to haters

  • the tree fags who missed the thumb up should be punished and raped by a mexican priest

  • @ReapersShredder by a mexican priest? um there is no such a mexican priest only american ones do that

  • jeff loomis is my fuckin idol!!!!!!!!! keep rockin on!!!!

  • Can't stop stop headbanging

  • the phrasing makes me laugh and smile because its soo good.

  • I love Jeff Loomis music, but I own a six string and do not know how to translate his 7 string songs for myself to learn. Too bad...

  • @julianfigielguitar i don't know ? drop A ?

or so . or ... perhaps you can tune you E string down to A , while keeping the other strings the way they are ... this might not be too fancy , but if it works !

  • @julianfigielguitar you can learn the rythum by tuning to a standard Bb (3 1/2 steps i think) but Lead would be Eb (half step) for 6 string guitars, so you'd have to choose one or the other

  • @DeanMLFlame or you can do both and buy an effects pedal with a pitch shifter :)

  • @mjonesy58 Or, you can buy a fucking 7 string... ¬_¬

  • @DeanMLFlame Yeah buy a 7 string

  • @ShredderShaun that's what i need to do. but i done have $500 laying around!

  • intro is kinda "muse-demonocracy" :)))))

  • The left tower is musically gay cause it didn't cum to this amazing song.

  • @SlaughterxthexWeak

Actually, the tower to the right is ejaculating in to her ass, while the left tower maintains vaginal stimulation. We can't have our towers getting canned with child support now, can we?

  • @TheThunderhammer So the left tower has the same penis support emos do? There has to be a reason it's not cumming due to vaginal stimulation.

  • @TheThunderhammer Way to be a typical guy.

  • eat that herman li

  • @zetanbow16 you mean herman ree XD

  • @remmajekim666 herman ree???

  • everytime jeff loomis plays a note, the earth tilts 1 degree more leading to our eminent eargasmic death of crazy spasmatic spinning and gravitational chaos where jeff loomis will float away into the sun and claim his throne

  • @supertasticasian yea i had to copy this .

  • @LOSTPRATT63 hahaha

  • @Ghaeis666 I Concur *snaps fingers* EVERYONE GET TOO IT!

  • Is Jeff Loomis god? Does a bear shit in the woods?

  • this is so fcuken SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGAH ITS DRIVING ME INSANE

  • id like to hear this guy jam with john pretrucci.. the world would stop turning on that day

  • some of the parts in this song remind me of guilty gear music

  • Thumbs up if you think the 2 dick shits that dislike this should go get killed by in Hostel!! Fuck you to anyone thinks this guitarist is crap!

Loomis, you are THE God of True Music!!!

  • @Gyrannon i think the two dislikes were accidents when they tried to scroll over to "Like" it haha

  • @Gyrannon amen to that!!!!

  • @Ghaeis666 everyday is Jeff Loomis day dude!at least in my head

  • riff at 3:19....fucking MEAN

  • I'd love to see this guy team up with Guthrie Govan sometime, could be a pretty amazing duo!

  • this guy should team up with dave mustaine and do something, can't think of a better guitar duo

(well mustaine/friedman were pretty amazing too,but now marty prefers jpop)

  • @sheshdd dave mustaine???? Although a great musician is not on the level or anywhere close for that matter to Jeff Loomis. I dont think jeff should " team up" with anyone but Jeff Loomis. Nobody could handle his mastery of his instrument, it would only slow him down.

  • @hustlersinc1 i think they'd end up doing something pretty cool you know...thing is,i'd really like to see what would come out of a fusion like that, think it would be interesting and most important of all:different from Nevermore and Megadeth.

    BUT:that's just me,daydreaming

  • Loomis, dude you fu@#in shredd it up!

  • jani and jeff best shreder guitarrist ever
