you should play the games :) i just finished SH2 (i haven't played sh1 though), it was amazing. you get scared a lot easier in the games, the movie isn't that very scary if you ask me, but it's well done anyway, they capture the silent hill feeling quite well. play the games and then watch the movie again, it's fun to recognize lots of stuff from the games in the movie. especially the song 'promise reprise' - totally awesome. x)

I have actually played SH1 for the PS1 and i really liked it ;D!

The graphics arent like the best in the world, but the feeling is awesome enyway! ;D I wanna play all the other SH to but 4 and 5 are to good for my crappy PC :(

And yes, you don´t get so scared by the movie, but it´s really well made.

yeah? :) how fun ^^ i used to be a sucker for good graphics, but I've come to realize (as I've grown more experienced ;>) that some games are great despite their bad graphics. i played dino crisis 2 a while ago, graphics could have been made by a 10yearold, but it was still kinda fun to play. the steering controls were very foreign to me (walk forward with 'up' button and spin around with left and right) but you get used to it :) and it prepared me for sh2,being unused to them would've sucked x)

i've only played the random games for wii (bowling, baseball, tennis) and i'm not sure how well i'd do on "real" games x) but perhaps i'd get used to it after a while and love it. although, since i do not own a wii, i keep to playstation ^^ which suits me just fine

yeah, i don't know if i can say it's scarier than sh2, i guess all in all they're just as scary. sh3 has already inflicted that creepy ass feeling and i've only played past two save points, but when i think about it the first scene where you get to play in sh2 is quite scary too, especially since it was the first one i played out of them all :)
