Dude Bonham just kicks ass in general, he's so imaginative and uses only the basic stuff to acomplish what he had to say. but you can't count out Keith Moon who interpreted songs instead of imagining his own. he worked with the rest of the band. He was about expressing what the band wanted to do. and of Course Neil Pert is just amazing. He took time to do with drums what jimmy page does with guitar. just absolutley stunning. you can't compare any of them. they all rock.

Also, build your chops w/ triple a stroke roll RRR LLL RRR LLL RRR etc. but try it with two 3S's in each hand, on a fricken pillow! Do it for about 5 mins. Then, jump on the snare with your fav. size sticks and watch your self ripp! A real chop builder.

For those who follow N Peart's work, you will know he's into various styles (jazz, progressive rock, etc). His musicality and dedication tops everything any other drummers has ever tried. He play drums based in chords, not only as a percussion instrument. If I had to choose one to be my top drummer, I'd have to go with him, because I'm sure he can do whatever any other drummer can and add his sheer quality and style on top to make it sound unique and more elaborate. End of.
