Professional skateboarding means your going to have to compete, to establish yourself as the best. Its a dog eat dog world in the career of professional sports.

Start skating for fun, but once you get good enough to make a career out of it, its going to be more business side than fun. Eric Koston has been in the game a long time but he is no where near the best now. Thus he makes less money at competitions. Establishing yourself allows you to create companys and enjoy it.

especially NOT at a single day of a competition..
