  • Want to add that the cots did win their freedom from England at one time, aafter Robert the Bruce took over the fight after Wallace was executed. The Scots are a tough, brave people, as arre the Irish. I respect both groups greatly. There is no contest. We all deserve respect as humans.

But we are here toe enjoy the music. Yes?

  • Thatquotation about a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury is from Shakespeare.

    Great song

  • Scotia rings fearless and free! Such words made a lot!

  • @robcas631 Feck the wheel!

  • @robcas631 I'm no sassenach!

  • William Faulkner? Pretty sure MacBeth said that in Act 5.

  • ProtestantThomas isn't even Scottish, he's some fucking english troll who tries to think Scotland and the English live in peace when in reality they don't. He hates Irish for the IRA incident. Really he knows as much about Scotland as a monkey's rectum. Don't trust him.

  • Scotland for ever

  • Irish are singing a scottish song.

Do the Irish not have an "Ireland the Brave" song?

  • @xIegionx

No, they copy absolutely everything from Scotland, they are retarded inbreds descended from a lost tribe of neanderthals, hilariously the only thing they haven't stolen from Scotland is the Scottish religion, meaning that Irish are still bound y Roman catholic chains to this day.

  • @ScottishLegendftp I thought Scotts and Irish got along or were friends. But aren't scotts catholics too? Didn't they battle the Protestant brits about it?

  • @xIegionx

Scotland fought with England not the "Brits" which is a reference to anyone from Great Britain which includes Scotland, Scotland were Protestant before England and had been colonizing Ireland before England also.

I am Scottish and despise the Irish for the way they have ruined Scotland with their immigrants and their pre-historic roman catholicism.

  • @ScottishLegendftp During England's war the "Brits" can be considered those on the islands who allied with the English to take down Scottland during Scottland's war. Also didn't Edward invade Scottland out of the fact Scotts were NOT Protestants?

  • @xIegionx

Bahahaha it was in the 1300's EVERYONE in Western Europe was catholic, Scotland became Protestant before England and more hardline Protestants (Calvinists) to Englands Anglicanised Protestantism.

  • @ScottishLegendftp So the English killed you for no reason?

    Awesome

  • @xIegionx

The Scottish English war happened because the pope of the period wanted Scotland to come under the Kingdom of England like Wales had done, all of the Kings of Europe of that period were under orders from the pope, kinda like a don of a crime family.

However Scotland defeated England and became its own Kingdom, in 1603 the Scottish King took the English throne uniting the two Kingdoms and creating the UK, both were Protestant by that time, England Anglican and Scotland Calvinist.

  • @ProtestantThomas I don't think Scottland defeated England and their own Kingdom united with the Brits. Afterall why are Scottish asking for independence if they were the ones who created the UK?

  • @xIegionx

They did defeat the Kingdom of England and form their own Kingdom which later united with the English Kingdom, not the Brits, Brits is a term used for anyone from Great Britain, including Scots.

Right now there are nationalist parties in both Scotland and England who want to end the union, however in both they are outnumbered by unionists.

  • @xIegionx

If you don't believe me all you have to do is google "James I" he was King of Scots until the last Queen of England died, he was invited to take the English throne as well as his Scottish throne, this united the Kingdoms of England and Scotland.

Or just google Union Jack and look at the two flags of England & Scotland combined.

England & Scotland forever, fuck Ireland :)

  • @ProtestantThomas Then why are Scottish asking for Independence? not just on these videos but in the UK itself?

Why were there so many scottish supporters of the IRA?

Want to see what your English rulers do to Scotts for fun?

    youtube.com/watch?v=St56_zW263c

  • @xIegionx

There aren't any native Scottish supporters of the IRA, why would they support an organisation that his killed over 100 Scots, the "Scots" who do support them are of Irish descent, 15% of people in Scotland are of immediate Irish catholic descent unfortunately. They are hated by all of the native Scots, that's why Neil Lennon is sent bombs etc.

  • @ProtestantThomas I've already heard that you're not actually Scottish but just some guy pretending to be Scottish to say you support the overthrow of Scotland's kingdom and show hatred to Irish for the IRA wanting to blow up the queen. Anyway; it seems more likely Scotland was overthrown NZ owns the Maori. The maori don't like it but can't do anything. Scot's can't get their independence back or the English will take them down. so yeah the English Owned you guys and you take it very well

  • @xIegionx

Only people of Irish descent in Scotland support the IRA, they are generally hated by us indigenous Scots, Irish catholics should go home the famine's over now :)

  • @ScottishLegendftp So wait you're glad England kicked the crap out of you and took your land?

  • @ProtestantThomas Scottish can't fight. They got beat by the English who can call themselves British as Britain is the name of THEIR land

There are no modern day scottish fighters. They all suck. they can't fight

  • @halIcyon

Britain is an island, it is one Kingdom, it was created by a Scottish King when he forged both of the Kingdoms of that island together, anyone from Britain be it Scotland or England is British.

  • @ProtestantThomas Really it's the name of the British land which belongs to English. English and British = same. Scottish are just ugly people the brits make fun of

  • @halIcyon

Britain - Territory of former Kingdoms of England & Scotland which now make up one United Kingdom. (Forged by a Scottish King)

    Rule Britannia.

  • @ScottishLegendftp Sorry but the Brits and English murdered you Scotts and now they play pranks you from day to day life. Don't try to say you're their equal because you're not. You're dogs to them

  • @halIcyon

Please elaborate? As I have said (which the inferior Irish catholic seems incapable of understanding) the United Kingdom was forged peacefully when a Scottish King accepted the English throne, Ireland has and always was used as a dumping ground by both the former Kingdoms of England and Scotland, the Irish annals even describe the Scots as evil foreigners who raided their land, they describe an English victory over Scotland as the greatest thing to happen in Ireland.

  • @ScottishLegendftp No you're looked down just as badly as the Irish. You sound like you're trying to suck up to the English so you don't feel as bad as your ancestors that were beaten.

Stop this bullshit about "peaceful forge" you were beaten into submission

  • @halIcyon

It was a Scottish King who united the 2 Kingdoms, in what way were Scotland beaten? It was Scotland who beat England by that logic.

  • @ScottishLegendftp That Scottish King is my direct ancestor, not to mention Robert the Bruce and Malcom Wallace, father of William. The Scots were beaten at times but while Alexnander Grant who was with the Glengaries at Culloden his grandson fought the British to a standstill in South Carolina in the American Revolition. People who talk history like its current events are as William Faulkner said. ..." A tale told by and Idiot, full of Sound And Fury, signifying nothing.

  • @ScottishLegendftp You belong to the Brits, you get it? you have no freedom. You're property of other human BEINGS

  • @xIegionx

Damn you are really uneducated, I suggest you read up on the Scottish reformation and John Knox, the total overthrow of the disease of catholicism from our country forever.

Irish and English are weak they need bishops in their religions - catholicism and anglicanism.

Scotland - Presbyterian, no bishops or popes or any of that bullshit.

  • @ProtestantThomas Actually according to ScottishLegend,

Also you're extremely uneducated if you're actually a protestant. =]

  • @ProtestantThomas You're a protestant. Your beliefs are full of shit.

Get out of here kid before I use your mom's mouth as a piss hole.

  • @Deathclok

The national Church of Scotland is Protestant.

  • @ProtestantThomas religion is bullshit. You're bullshit

  • I appreciate the history, but i just like the song in general. It's simple instrumentation, but not overpowering the singer. Great song!

  • created in 1801 when Ireland went into a full union with GB - and now of course it is only Northern Ireland. Hence NI is not a colony of the UK but an integral part of the UK state itself

  • please, this is Scotland forever, different from scotland the brave

  • What a thrill!

  • All Hail to our Scottish Brethern. A proud and noble people. It's a shame your leaders sold your soul to the english. A shame when the Cambell's are allowed to dictate the future of the brave and defiant Scot.

  • I'm come from HK. I had listen "Scotland the Brave" when I was a children on 30 yrs ago. Thanks for you to being me back my memory...

  • To internet1001001. John McDermott was born in Scotland and moved to Canada at a young age. He is not from Ireland.

  • I am not fromm scotland but this song is very good i like this song

  • This song is Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are a nation, strong and proud. We built an empire and soldiered it well, giving life and limb. Give credit where it is due

  • wow, an irish guy singing a scottish song, wierd

  • @Internet1001001 Not at all!

  • Beautiful! I finally was able to go and see Scotland, I appreciated all the beauty so much - I will make sure to return again.

  • The trouble with Scotland is.....its full of Scots.........

  • @voidt69

thanks for post this nice vid.

scotland is a graet land,i m a fan of your country

greetings from germany and my kyloes ha ha

  • Clear, crisp vocals, with absolutely perfect backup music...perfect leads without overpowering the voice. This is unbelievably beautiful.

  • of england, of denmark, of rome, and the world!

  • @SgtColbert42

Scotland is one of the few countries never to be conquered...

  • @NormbrettaMod exactly, that's why I like that lyric so much :)

  • @SgtColbert42

Wish I could say the same for my county :S

  • John McDermott is wonderful!

  • scottish lackeys were used as cannon fodder to attack the irish by england which they eagerly joined up for. scotland as part of the uk is still ruled by london. perhaps scotland will grow as set of "bravery" as finally stand up for itself.

  • @tpc326 Your pathetic, it's as much its own country as Australia is. It has shared a close relationship (of varying calibre) with England for a thousand years.

  • @captainhunter123

Lmao, a close relationship eh? Since the Act of what was supposed to be a Union was made in 1707, England has done nothing but mistreat the Scots. The last time that the land now called England had a close relationship to what is now Scotland was when it was Celtic...

  • @captainhunter123

And Scotland isn’t even a country, nor is England and nor is Wales. They are merely provinces of the country of “the UK”. Scottish hasn’t been a nationality for centuries and Scotland hasn’t had its own sovereign for that also. The same for the English. Sad isn’t it?

  • @NormbrettaMod Scotland is a country alright....

  • @BlackCountryPuddler

why? just cos you say so? i'm not saying that's makes it any better or worse...i wish it was one, but it's not...

  • @NormbrettaMod Scotlands a country mate...cop on....

  • @baguhmeister

have you got any evidence backing up that ignorant comment?

  • @NormbrettaMod by your logic france and germany are not countrys either as theyre members of the EC....so basically no nation is a country....why dont you lay down your strict criteria that makes a country....and we'll all try and see if any country is good enough to be considered a country....Ireland was part of the british empire but that didnt mean it wasnt a country while it was under the Crown...nationhood is a state of mind...

  • @baguhmeister

haha, don't get me started on the EU. in about 20 years time the EU will have crushed every individual nation identity in western europe and crammed us all into one nation, the united states of europe. it's already taken democracy from us, our cultures are next. the UK is a country, you can't have a country in a country. but out of all the the provinces of the UK, I'll admit that Scotland is the closest thing to a country seeing as england doesn't even have its own parliament!

  • @NormbrettaMod scotland is a country as is england wales ireland(32 counties) and you tellin people otherwise wont change anything

  • @BouffinCrevis

(sigh) ignorance isn't going to change anything...

  • @NormbrettaMod Except the UK is the United Kingdoms of england and Scotland, with Wales being a dependency of england and Ulster being a colony. Scotland and england are technically different countries, as is stated in the Act of Union of 1707.

  • @LAHFaust "Wales being a dependency of england and Ulster being a colony." That is not actually correct. The union of Scotland and England created Great Britain in 1707 and at that time Wales was legally considered not a dependency of England but part of the English kingdom itself. However it is over half a century since parliament declared that Wales is completely seperate from England so is in essence now just as much a constituent part of GB as Scotland and England are. The UK as such was

  • very good....
