monks gives 120 xp and u need 62 fising for cath it. They are fast cathing cuz its a reward from the swan song quest. So yes they are very fast:P

If F2P, fish at barbarian/edgeville.

the best way is shilo village to 99. but, i would do monkfish from 62-99, since you get pretty good cash. and the catch rate is pretty good too it fairly quick. DONT DO SHARKS AT ALL if you looking to level up.

Its about 90k monks(I think) So catching about 1.2k monkfish an hour. I would take you....37.5 days, which seems very quick. This does not include randoms, real life stop that would make you not be able to play, or any other thing. I would say it would take about a month and a half on non-stop fishing.

Its good if you want money, but it will take you forever and you may quit on that goal becuase how long it will take. I would suggest fishing monks, you get like 30mil when you get to 99 fishing.
