  • Our chief's car is a red dodge magnum decked out with interior lights, including grill and headlight strobes. And BTW you live inNY right? I thought PD's up there ran just reds, how do you get away with that?

  • @Masonhalsey1 fd, ems, and pd runs red up here, blue strictly for vollys, green for volly ems, this was my dads personal take home vehicle, he was the executive director of a private ambulance co.

  • Man i wish they would lets us run lights down south

  • car looks great but im shocked that the local pd is not up your a**. Im a volunteer firefighter in ny and i have 2 blue lights and rear corner tail light strobes and i get harassed all the time by the cops. Here in my department we take our povs to the scene even if its on a major highway and were are still only able to equept one blue light. Its dangerous when cars are going past you doin 60mph at night and you only have one blue light and nothing in the back.

  • @Thatuptownguy This wasnt a volunteer firefighters vehicle, it was a executive directors vehicle for a private ambulance company.

  • @Thatuptownguy in ny were only allowed to have 1 blue light and in my dept. we respond to the scene we reaally need more than 1 to be effective

  • @Thatuptownguy im in my too and i have 2 sticks with 4 tir3's in them and the cops dont say anything they dont really care

  • @Thatuptownguy i totaly ag and when ur responding and u pull out infront of somone and u have lights rear facing they know why u did that

  • ey man do the cops give you any trouble for having a p71 as a POV?

  • @Dizzles not at all... most of them know my dad...he has been working with them for years.

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life oh cool. you still got it or no?

  • Here's my thought...I love the setup. It's clean and looks professional. As long as it gets you to an emergency call, who cares what type of car it is.

    Well done

  • It's a shame that Ford has discontinued these cars now they are coming out with a new police car called a Ford Police Interceptor with a 3.5L V6 which you can get with "EcoBoost" which supposlivey delivers V8 like power!

  • So here's a few questions for ya.... Is your vehicle an "Authorized Emergency Vehicle" under the law? Is your vehicle covered under an insurance policy specifically for emergency vehicles, or indemnified by a political subdivision or municipality? If the answer is no, I hope you are a self made multi millionaire with LOTS of loose and available cash for the lawsuit after you wrap up with someone on the road. Can we say Police wanna be?

  • @devildoc225 Vehicle is an authorized and certified unit under NYS law.... and of course it has an insurance policy for emergency vehicles its owned by an ambulance company! Also..... we are getting rid of this car for that fact alone... we are not cops... nor do we want to be looked at as cops.....

  • I don't see why people are giving you such a hard time. Number 1 there retarded police are blue red not fucking red. There are a ton of chief cars out there that are crown vics. This car is not over done at all it had lights in appropriated places to be safe out there while on scene and en route to calls.

  • @ofd39 Thanks OFD. The thing that gets me the most is.... how is this a pd unit when theres no police equipment in it??

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life people are stupid ad dont notice that theres no laptop or partition

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life beautiful set up, nice job. nothing wrong with a crown vic for fire/ems personal car. Its fast, comfortable, reliable, and is used as a fire car throughout the country.

  • @ofd39 FYI in New York the police use all red, and white lights.

  • damn thats a hell of a console you have lol

  • @DragonSlayer1593 we didnt buy this car..... its company issued. Lights were gradually added....dont think this car is overdone..

  • haha I still remember the days when halogen and strobes was the only way to go. I got so used to hearing that familiar "chirp chirp chirp chirp" on every call. Now you're lucky to find a department that uses them any more

  • is your gonna put in blue lights in the rear since the law was changed

  • So this is for your dad when he doesn't have ME36? just want to know so i know what fire dept and or medic thingamajigger to work for, so I can get lights and sirens on my POV.

  • well 1. dont ever go into anything just so you can have lights and or sirens on your pov. Its one thing to love lights and sirens, but when it becomes your focus, thats worng. You need to be more interested in the actaul job, than the lights. and 2, this is for my dad to respond in when there is major emergencies, because he is the executive director of a private ambulance company.

  • 1. Iv'e wanted to be a real firefighter (for the job) since I was 4. I just learned about the lights and sirens and I thought it would be cool. 2. is the private ambulance company, Monroe?

  • yes, but my dad has been working his way up for 15 years. its not just going to come. In ohio, most volunteer firefighters, are cleared for reds and sirens on there povs.

  • that's cool I never knew he was the executive directorand I would love to be a volunteer but I need a pay job, you know. Buy the I watched Ladder 49 for first time last night, it's sad,I thought he should have lived, like the rest of the firefighter should go to leval 11 and lower a rope to pull him up.

  • well put

  • what was?

  • the fact that you dont get into the emergency services because of the things that they get to have- you get into it because you want to help save lifes and help people.

  • ah yes. Thank you. Something i didnt understand when i was a kid....But realized as i got older.

  • yeah, lol though because i think that all that stuff is probably what brought peoples attention to it- and then they realized they actually wanted to be what it was all about. which is pretty awesome.

  • awesome POV Know a guy who has all hideaway lights grills, wig wags, headlight and tail streobes, fullo interior lightbars, siren, cause hes a fire fighter. He has a turquoise crown vic PI

  • Comment removed

  • what strobes are those?

  • what is that switch box?

  • Galls

  • good job

  • i want to make or join a used police car auto club...do u kno of any around new york?

  • just a Q does ur dad listen to the fire county dispatch or ems county dispatch?

  • If we respond, we go out on the monroe channel. But the motorola has all channels for monroe county, and some of the counties nearby us.

  • is that a cop car or fire.

  • EMS

  • thanks very nice set up

  • thanks for showing me your plates not i can run them and find you.

  • why?

  • have fun, there company plates.

  • and by the way, this car is completely legal...

  • i would suggest mounting that traffic advisor 2 inches higher so the 3rd brake light doesnt block it.

  • yeah, it has more lights in the back now so it dosent really matter, and we might get a new car soon.

  • what does pov stand for

  • PERSONALLY OWNED VEHICLE

  • Sweet deal dude. I guess people won't think of you as a fireman. When they see that car, I bet they think it's a cop. Have you had any other kind of P.O.V? And if so, what was it, and is this a better one?

  • Lets see....As far back as i can remeber P.O.V. wise, oldest would be our Chevy Taurus, That had red and yellow flashers in the back, brightest strobes i have seen in a long time. Then there was our impala, not a police package, just completely custom. Made our own switchbox, the slimiser was in the front of that, two leds in the grill, and then 3 leds in the back. That was my favorite car... This one is a hoss, but i hate it, because were not cops, and dont want to be looked at like cops!

  • @FirefighterEmt4Life dont you mean a ford taurus lol. tho povs you just descrived must have looked sick!

  • hahahah sorry, i forgot one. Got them mixed up. First car was a chevy. Then the taurus, then the impala.

  • Sadly we don't have crown vics here. Cool car tho.

  • DINGERFIED!!! NICE!

  • are u an officer of the force or u just bought it like that?

  • Unit is a P.O.V. for the executive director of an ambulance company. Used to respond to major events

  • This is a POV?

  • kinda, company car to

  • thats a beast

  • thanks!

  • ned some better grill lights

  • dont look good in the day but they work great at night

  • haha i wish, its my dads car, ive asked him a couple times, he doesent respond much in it though, he usually takes a supervisors rig, im just waiting for the day im in the car and something bad goes out, so i always have my camera

  • asesome could u make some responding videos?
