I once waited impatiently at a patio door for the people inside to let me in to their party. I waited, and waited, and knocked. Then I noticed all the lights were out inside, and I had been waiting at a vacant apartment complex building. Yea, I was very drunk, and under the illusion I was locked out of a party. I went back to the bar.
I can so relate. One day I couldn't find my purse and swore I was slammed into a brick wall and robbed. Then realized it was more like i fell face first on the brick pavement in front of the plantation home, (lived in New Orleans in a apartment of a plantation house built in 1830) coming home after a night on Bourbon Street (during Mardi Gras & Superbowl). My purse was on the brick pavement w/items scattered. Called in sick lost my job after that one. LOL!
The american version got the go ahead?!?! they can try but i dont even think there gunna scratch the surface...although as mykel77 pointed out, if jennifer saunders is writing it i might give it a look, but who are they gunna cast
I don t think it will ever be as funny as the British one- mainly because Americans are to superficially "politically correct" to be funny! :-)
They d never show drugs, sex etc in a way the British comedies do!
AbFab was my absolutely favourite TV show when it was broadcasted on German Television also many years ago, with German and English subtitles, so the jokes and hints did not get "lost" in translation if one understands English not so well.

It's actually strange how people still can laugh at such jokes. There are so many lives and families ruined by addictions depicted here. Especially hard it is for children that are left alone and traumatized by their parents addictions. I like Catherine Tate or Little Britain, because I know what they are laughing about, here they just make fun out of tragedy. It's sad.
Don't be so pathetic! Humour gets people through all sorts of sad situations.
How you can take offence to Jennifer Saunders & not lads behind Little Britain is beyond me *pokes racist vomiting woman & Little Britian USA in general*
What's sad is that you've missed the joke(s) and the whole point of the series entirely. This show is genius. Even the title of the show is part of the joke. It's a lesson in how NOT to live. One of the greatest comic works ever, if you ask me. I have to ask: Do you think that All In The Family promoted and encouraged racism? Just curious.
I think the shoe drag is Jennifer's signature drunk walk. LOL. She is WAY too good at that drunk walk...and fall. She loves doing physical humor-sets her above the rest.
