Ejem.... ¿two vocal cords?? Vocal cords or folds are ONE ORGAN which helps producing sound by vibrating as the air passes through. This video shows the tecnique called "overtone singing" ( "canto multifónico" en español), consisting in highlight some harmonic sounds over the basic tone.
Crap...chin-Part 2 - No,I'm saying that people who have underlying psychological issues are likely to experience negative effects from LSD while people who are at peace in their minds are likely to have positive effects. The effects on serotonin receptors can result in extreme mood swings like laughter to crying or childlike wonder at the simplest things to fear of the most benign things.Drugs aren't used to"get rid of addictions" eg-methadone stops heroin craving not addiction.EDUCATE THYSELF.
Crapzorsbutachin - Do some research before you mouth off - google lsd/alcoholism treatment , then read & dig further.I have talked WITH NOT TO many psychiatrists, counsellors, therapists,&addicts. Evidence from lab studies shows that LSD acts on groups of serotonin receptors(the SSRI class of anti-depressant drugs inhibit these receptors to keep serotonin levels up to combat depression) mainly in the cerebral cortex(affecting mood, cognition,&preception)&locus ceruleus(sensory signal receptors).
funny story, i ate some lsd with some friends and a sober friend of theirs came over and he brought genghis blues, so the first time i was exposed to this singing i was pretty spun... awesome time, great movie!
First of all as I stated it was LSD, not mushrooms, and secondly I never stated that I NEEDED the substance to enjoy the music, I said I was exposed to this music while on the entheogen.
So once again I'm so sorry your life is that bad that you can't seem to do anything but reply to positive comments of a great experience with something negative.
same difference. The funny part is how hypocritical you are, saying peace and love and saying that my life is so horrible because i have to comment on things. Honestly I don't think what I said was negative, I think taking LSD is negative.
Happy you had a fun little experience, a little laugh... but whatever.
i never thought they were the same, they are both hallucinogens so who the fuck cares? have you tried crack? have you tried heroin? have you tried crystal meth? Just because you haven't tried something doesnt mean that you cant make a smart decision on it. Sorry it doesnt work like that, i can comment on suicide even though...i never experienced it. or anything else that is mind altering for that matter.
Plus as i said, its not negative to me to be talking about it, and its not bullshit, and i obviously have a life... i've only spent about 2 real minutes of my life talking to you.
It is usually only negative for people who aren't at peace with their own minds & has been used sucessfully in clinical settings to help people who were hopelessly addicted ( alcohol & drugs) "see the light" & overcome their addictions.Have you tried it?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
that isnt even true. People use certain types of drugs to get rid of addictions but lsd is by far not one of them, have YOU talked to a psychiatrist? IT has absolutely and totally nothing to do with negative or positive people, that is a logical fallacy no proof or reason for it. You are simply saying it is negative people because you think it has positive effects. But its fine if you NEED to blast nerve receptors in your brain in random directions in order to be satisfied in life, so be it
If you have not got the movie Genghis Blues, it is a must-see. OMG, I was in love with the kindred spirit of Paul, so jolly and what a musical genius. He must be in the heavenlies now (with his Babe) as he must live forever. His low-notes are said to be alot lower than the lowest key on the piano. And the high-pitch throat singing (whistling sound) from his Tuva friend here, it is haunting.. Love this song !
That overtone melody that Kongar-ol Ondar is awesome. It's funky, with nice rhythm and so in control. You hear the 'whistle' sound of the overtones more than you hear his voice!
This mix of Paul and him are a match that heaven could not have better made.
the way he could blend musical styles was truly amazing. i have huun-huur-tu's recording of this, and paul takes it to another level with his additions. the world is certainly a better place for his contributions. thank you, paul -- rest in peace.
i just learned about this guy tonite in my music class and i'm completely opened up to a new world and i have so much respect for him. much love to paul pena. what a great guy who even tho wasn't able to physically see, he was able to see music and it's beauty in other forms. god bless
@18hmoobclans This song's name is "Eki Attar" in Tuvan dialect, in Turkey Turkish "İyi Atlar" (in Royal English "Good Horses, hehe). Tuvans are Turkic people, not Mongol.

I don't know of any movies similar to Genghis Blues- but I recommend the book "Tuva or Bust" by Ralph Leighton. It's about the journey he took with Richard Feynman to visit Tuva during the 80's when it was still an obscure and highly isolated region in the USSR. Of course throat singing is featured prominently, as well as more Tuvan culture
