  • Now where have I heard it? I know it's not twilight

  • Your work is pure poetry ~ Janet Thompson Deaver

  • AWESOME!^_^

  • Oceans 11 FTW lol

  • This was in Twilight???? OH, that's right, I didn't waste my time watching it........

  • 210 people can't appreciate real, meaningful music...

  • Stop talking about Twilight and enjoy the piece.

  • Screw Twilight. Ocean's 11 is where it's at.

  • my dad always said he loves this song... now i know why!

  • i'd LOVE to give the creators of "Twilight" the Clockwork Orange treatment with this song...then we could lock them in a little room until they climb out the window and jump to their deaths =P

  • like if you liked this before Twilight :)

  • I love this song

  • This is one of the most romantic songs !!!:X:X:X

  • <3

  • I liked this song before Twilight made it popular amongst the young ones. Thumbs up if you agree

  • @cuuuzz69 I consider myself to be a "young one", however I've known this *song* for quite a long time, even before it appeared for the first time in Twilight.

  • I can listen to this for hours

    -a canadian boy

  • magnificent. just magnificent

  • Perfect.

  • Who is the pianist playing this?

  • @pianomnn Claude Debussy

  • This song is so beatiful.

  • who gives a shit who likes mainstream music or twilight. I came here to listen to this beautiful piece. Now STFU NOW!

  • 1:04 totally a 1000 piece puzzle i solved one summer

  • I'm so glad that I haven't seen any of the Twilight Series. From what i've gathered, i've realised they use a lot of good music. Listening to it while watching Twilight would probably wreck it for me.

  • @RockandAnime

right u are...thats because rock and classical as well is music, art, though different. the modern electro.... is nothing but atonal unharmonical noise...

  • @bieberMAN93 who can say what art is and is not?

  • I listen to metal but that dusn't mean I cant appreciate classical music. Its time people change their stereotypical pattern of thought.

  • @IRONDevil100 I think people who listen to rock and metal are more likely to like classical music then fans of pop, r'n'b, hip-hop and other mainstream music. That's what happens with people I know :)

  • Listen to this with, "The sound of rain w/o music. Ahh...Soothing for when ur in class and wanna explode O_O

  • :3 Listen to raining sounds and ur in heaven. (with this video TRY IT) REPLY if u like it.

  • This piece is so calming. :) thanks for making this vid. :D

  • Sucks that they don't make good music like they used to.

  • I'm (age) and I don't like popular (artist) thumbs up XD!!

  • birds are building their nests in my room.

  • 208 people have no sense for music

  • Im Alice. This music is a wonderland for my soul.

  • perfect

  • we're being chased by an ice cream van...

  • @VVasay what is the name, or do you have a link to the picture at 0:29 - 0:37? It would be much appreciated.

  • 2bucks, anyone?

  • Janelle Monae did this piece justice with her sampling on Say You'll Go.

  • This is super relaxing! All my stress from school is gone.Love this..... And I love twilight too!

  • Dammit, Twilight. Why must you have impeccably good taste in soundtrack music, despite being poorly-made and generally kind of dumb?

  • @pianod00d

    mannn fuck twilight,

this track came out in ocean's eleven played by the phil harmonic,

    in 2001.

  • @pianod00d what do you mean "generally kind of dumb"? don't you mean "utterly retarded"? =P

  • When I listen to this it's as if the world just stops for a second, and we can all really appreciate it's beauty behind the ugliness.

  • It might be a good thing that this song was in Twilight. That way younger generations can be introduced to wonderful music like this. If it even convinced one preteen girl that classical music is brilliant then I say it's a success.

  • omfg this is so relaxing

  • i love this song i dident evenknw these people excisted till twilight hahaha

  • @bubbels4040 That's why you should go to college and stay in school. I'm taking a 20th century music class right now and this is one of our listenings. These composers are seriously some of the most briliant, yet complex minds ever. You get to hear sooo many ridiculous and awe-inspiring things. As much as I acutally love twilight you shouldn't have to rely on it to hear some of the amazing music and composers, both past and present.

  • 2:21-2:25 sounds like the Fairy Fountain in Zelda.

  • Who is playing the piano?

  • @pianomnn Debussy

  • can someone recommend me other masterpiece like this one plis

coz i'm a total noob when it comes to classical music

  • my piano teacher played this for me a few days ago, absolutely beautiful. My all time favourite piano piece!

  • This masterpiece is beyond amazing. There are no words for me to describe the feeling I get when I listen to this song. The way my heart fills with joy and I get chills down my spine. And yes, I am 14.

  • So beautiful!!!! And soo romantic. I would die if someone played this for me.

  • I'm quietly listening to Clair de Lune while I can hear Eminem blare from my mother's headphones.

    So totally adopted.

  • @TwilightBite27 This comment just made my day, hahahhaa.

  • @TwilightBite27 Funny you should say, all my brothers listen to rap and poke fun at me for listening to Debussy, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, that sort of stuff. I feel adopted to sometimes.

  • @rgttgi I love Tchaikovsky! Little Night Music is one of my favourite pieces by Mozart. wbu?

  • @thePANDASgirl13 Well, I love Mozart's Piano Sonatas, however, his symphonies are, in my opinion, more complete and dazzlingly more beautiful. I'm an enormous fan of Fredric Chopin, too.

  • @TwilightBite27 ROFL I have Emimen open in the other tab xD You can be a fan of both Debussy and Eminem.

    P.S. You gota cool mom.

  • @TwilightBite27 Lol, dont think you are. Your mother basically did a great job as a mother. While there's no such thing as a better music taste, yours is more refined, which means your mother made you even better than her in that aspect, which is a total success.

  • @TwilightBite27 ... Or, you're a musical prodigy like Mozart. I get so depressed when I hear all the people around me listening to crappy music like Nicky Minaj, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. I just sit silently in a corner listening to classical and jazz. I wish there were more people like you :)

  • @PaulMattias Achieve true musical appreciation: realize there is still good music today.

  • Would anyone mind satisfying my desire to know what the painting at 2:52 is called?

  • Classics never die! It's spirit inspired. So beautiful!!!

  • i am 15 and proud to have a musical education that led me to debussy. thanks dad.

  • love song beautiful

  • I like this piece played at a slower tempo. London music works still have the best version of this piece in my opinion.

  • I'm 15 and I listen to classical music ~breaking the mold~

  • I really want to learn how to play this piece.

  • Me gusta

  • nanoreactor: And you know we have a FIRST AMENDMENT in this country, right? And it doesn't give artists or liberals priority over others, right? And you also know that, by definition, ALL opinions are subjective, right?

  • i don't what exactly happens to me when i hear this music.. but it touches me deeeeeeeeeep

  • imagine this song playing to a load of screamers XD

  • This is the first song to make me cry.

  • Voglio entrare in Paradiso con questa musica...

  • bring out something in me that i dont know was even there

gooooo clair de lune may you be heard till the next thousands of year

  • Why does this song remind me of Audrey Hepburn?

Not like I'm complaining or anything... just curious.

  • why are there comments about lady gaga here? her music is terrible, so why is there any comparison?

  • sometimes you wonder, "am i the only one who loves this song more than any other?" then you look down at the comments and say, i stand corrected."

  • @mkbtgb hahahahaha :)

  • (i love you)

  • i cant believe i never liked classical q.q its so pieceful and beautiful especially this one this might be my fav song

  • rainymood + this = 0.0

  • This is so beautiful......love this song.!! David Garrett just played Claire de Lune on his violin during his recent USA tour, along with John Haywood on keyboard and it was beautiful together.

  • @44divar I saw him perform this as well (in Sacramento)! It was absolutely breathtaking. Probably my favorite piece of the night. :)

  • When I am listening "Clair de Lune", I remember days, when I was in love... "Clair de lune" makes me restful and heals my heart... Thank you, Claude Debussy...

  • Magical! Simply beautiful...

  • I can only bear to hear this occasionally, it is so moving.

As janeebay185 said: Absolutely, positively, inexplicably beautiful...

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!

  • Absolutely, positively, inexplicably beautiful.

  • This piece was actually written for a poem by Paul Verlaine Entitled "Moonlight".

  • Your soul is a select landscape Where charming masqueraders and bergamaskers go Playing the lute and dancing and almost Sad beneath their fantastic disguises. All sing in a minor key Of victorious love and the opportune life, They do not seem to believe in their happiness And their song mingles with the moonlight, With the still moonlight, sad and beautiful, That sets the birds dreaming in the trees And the fountains sobbing in ecstasy, The tall slender fountains among marble statues. 1869
  • one of my fav's by debussy

  • those rare moments where I forget about my real life..

  • always feel like I'm walking through a french garden during the 1800's when I hear this song.:)

  • someone should play this at my funeral.

  • ohh such meloncholy....the beauty of pain...

  • Close your eyes and listen to this song and imagine yourself somewhere far off where you've always dreamed of seeing...

  • Fantastico

  • i just adore this ^ ^ <3

  • my ex could play this -_- :( x

  • Ren and Stimpy <3

  • This song makes me feel like I'm floating :) so beautiful x

  • im learning this song on piano :) its absolutely amazing and i wished the world would understand the beauty of classical instead of justin bieber akon and so on :)

  • No words can describe this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love this.

  • I'm 23 years old...this is my favorite piece of music, period. Lady Gaga who? Wish my friends would agree.

  • @prettygalwithabrain Because age is totally relevant in music........ It's shocking to have a little 4 year old sister who loves this piece...... wow I know, right? Kids these days.......

    ^

Sarcasm. Honestly I'm really fed up with these comments.

  • @prettygalwithabrain well, like my sister likes to say, "Elton John; for when you musical taste grows up."

  • @prettygalwithabrain You know Lady Gaga is a classically trained pianist right?

  • @DragPrinceCharming And you know her music is still banal and ultimately worthless, right?

  • @nanoreactor And you know you don't need to engage in discussions about her if you don't like her, right? And you know you don't need to force your subjective opinions on other people, right?

  • @prettygalwithabrain Lady Gaga is an entirely different genre of music. That's like comparing apples to roast beef.

  • @prettygalwithabrain well im 12 and this is my favorite so its even weirder. my friends call me a dork (in a loving way) cuz of it.

  • @prettygalwithabrain Lady Gaga got accepted to Juliard for playing classical piano sooo.......I'm pretty sure she can play this and has played a lot of music like this. Why doesn't she make music like this? Idk, but she puts classical elements in her acoustic versions. Maybe it's good she has a lot of fans. She can come out with a classical album and then bam. Maybe it'll have a huge come back. We can only dream......

  • @prettygalwithabrain i agree =) this song is a beautiful piece of music, it softens the soul and makes you linger on happiness and peace

  • @prettygalwithabrain Lady Gaga doesn't even deserve to be mentioned when it comes to *music* ;o)

  • @prettygalwithabrain if you like this you'd love Chopin's nocturnes, and Erik Satie's 'After The Rain'. Wish my friends had a clue too !

  • My very favourite piece.. the moment I heard it, I felt my heart soar..

  • This is so beautiful

  • This was on CSI: NY tonight :)

  • te recuerdo...

  • Watching this with rain and a fireplace in the background... SEX to my ears!

  • What a beautiful pieces!!

  • tears of awesomeness. pink unicorns and sexiness. just a beautiful piece.

  • Absolutely breathtaking. No words need to be added to this art. Just liquid-esque, takes the shape of our emotions and whatever we are feeling so everybody can relate to it and appreciate what is in our hearts.

  • thumbs up if you knew before twilight :v

  • I would take piano lessons just to learn how to play this melody.

  • listen it with rainymood

  • @titsforhits Obviously English doesn't appear to be this guy's first language. Thanks for being an ass, though. Now, why don't you take your attitude to a less peaceful song/video.
