i'd LOVE to give the creators of "Twilight" the Clockwork Orange treatment with this song...then we could lock them in a little room until they climb out the window and jump to their deaths =P
I'm a 14 years old girl and I would like to apologise, for the music my generation listens to and ruins all big radio stations. Amazing, beautiful, true music...
@cuuuzz69 I consider myself to be a "young one", however I've known this *song* for quite a long time, even before it appeared for the first time in Twilight.
I'm so glad that I haven't seen any of the Twilight Series. From what i've gathered, i've realised they use a lot of good music. Listening to it while watching Twilight would probably wreck it for me.
right u are...thats because rock and classical as well is music, art, though different. the modern electro.... is nothing but atonal unharmonical noise...
@IRONDevil100 I think people who listen to rock and metal are more likely to like classical music then fans of pop, r'n'b, hip-hop and other mainstream music. That's what happens with people I know :)
It might be a good thing that this song was in Twilight. That way younger generations can be introduced to wonderful music like this. If it even convinced one preteen girl that classical music is brilliant then I say it's a success.

@bubbels4040 That's why you should go to college and stay in school. I'm taking a 20th century music class right now and this is one of our listenings. These composers are seriously some of the most briliant, yet complex minds ever. You get to hear sooo many ridiculous and awe-inspiring things. As much as I acutally love twilight you shouldn't have to rely on it to hear some of the amazing music and composers, both past and present.
This masterpiece is beyond amazing. There are no words for me to describe the feeling I get when I listen to this song. The way my heart fills with joy and I get chills down my spine. And yes, I am 14.
@TwilightBite27 Funny you should say, all my brothers listen to rap and poke fun at me for listening to Debussy, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, that sort of stuff. I feel adopted to sometimes.
@thePANDASgirl13 Well, I love Mozart's Piano Sonatas, however, his symphonies are, in my opinion, more complete and dazzlingly more beautiful. I'm an enormous fan of Fredric Chopin, too.
@TwilightBite27 Lol, dont think you are. Your mother basically did a great job as a mother. While there's no such thing as a better music taste, yours is more refined, which means your mother made you even better than her in that aspect, which is a total success.
@TwilightBite27 ... Or, you're a musical prodigy like Mozart. I get so depressed when I hear all the people around me listening to crappy music like Nicky Minaj, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. I just sit silently in a corner listening to classical and jazz. I wish there were more people like you :)
nanoreactor: And you know we have a FIRST AMENDMENT in this country, right? And it doesn't give artists or liberals priority over others, right? And you also know that, by definition, ALL opinions are subjective, right?
This is so beautiful......love this song.!! David Garrett just played Claire de Lune on his violin during his recent USA tour, along with John Haywood on keyboard and it was beautiful together.
When I am listening "Clair de Lune", I remember days, when I was in love... "Clair de lune" makes me restful and heals my heart... Thank you, Claude Debussy...
Your soul is a select landscape Where charming masqueraders and bergamaskers go Playing the lute and dancing and almost Sad beneath their fantastic disguises. All sing in a minor key Of victorious love and the opportune life, They do not seem to believe in their happiness And their song mingles with the moonlight, With the still moonlight, sad and beautiful, That sets the birds dreaming in the trees And the fountains sobbing in ecstasy, The tall slender fountains among marble statues. 1869
im learning this song on piano :) its absolutely amazing and i wished the world would understand the beauty of classical instead of justin bieber akon and so on :)
@prettygalwithabrain Because age is totally relevant in music........ It's shocking to have a little 4 year old sister who loves this piece...... wow I know, right? Kids these days.......
^
Sarcasm. Honestly I'm really fed up with these comments.
@nanoreactor And you know you don't need to engage in discussions about her if you don't like her, right? And you know you don't need to force your subjective opinions on other people, right?
@prettygalwithabrain Lady Gaga got accepted to Juliard for playing classical piano sooo.......I'm pretty sure she can play this and has played a lot of music like this. Why doesn't she make music like this? Idk, but she puts classical elements in her acoustic versions. Maybe it's good she has a lot of fans. She can come out with a classical album and then bam. Maybe it'll have a huge come back. We can only dream......
Absolutely breathtaking. No words need to be added to this art. Just liquid-esque, takes the shape of our emotions and whatever we are feeling so everybody can relate to it and appreciate what is in our hearts.
