  • was i correct to get quad from nvidia ??

  • @electronicchronic no shoulda went ati

  • walks away

  • is it just me or is all of AMD's uploaded videos short as HELL? i mean seriously. they should make longer videos.

  • dont get the 4870, get the newer 5000 cards since they support dx11

  • is an ati HD 4200 good?

  • @W33Dblazer Good for what? Running Far Cry 2 with 16x AA or running a DVD?

  • >>W33Dblazer

Its moreso a media center based GPU, meaning its not the best for gaming, it will play half life fine but not the more modern games like call of duty, mirrors edge, crysis etc.

  • oh, well im looking for something will play games good but not so expensive

  • the 4870 should be able to play most games at high settings (not including crisis but it can still run it on medium and low).

  • @Tallemoelf a 4870 can run crysis on very high 1680x1050 25-35fps

  • yeah the 4870 pree good here its $199CAN if you know where to get it

  • im not a fan boy, i look for cheap things who are worth their price, i rushed too much as i bought a nvidia 9800gtx+, now i know ill buy ati next time

  • I r fanboy and i say WIN eventhough there not saying much

  • If ATI is so good, I wonder why so many AMD Motherboard manufacturers, put Nvidia chipsets on the boards?? other then price/performance? I love AMD/ATI, but i had to go with an AMD Phenom X4 /Nvidia combo for the price.

  • ati's chipset for gaming are alot better then nvidia's

  • Unless the game is using Nvidia architecture, like Crysis, or RE5 for example, I have had both ATI and, Nivida chipsets with my AMD boards/laptops, and just end up with more value for my money with Nvidia, not only gaming, but in over OS performance. AMD still kicks ass. :-)

  • sorry, fan boys to the right, the best performance/price ratio goes to ATi/AMD not to nVidia.

  • lol, are u kidding me? nVidia stopped making chipsets for AMD like a year ago, u are living in the past sir!

  • Well my new ASUS Phenom II x4 board must be really old then LMAO, It has Nvidia chipsets built right into the board, and Nivida did not stop making chipset for AMD boards, but for Intel at the moment, cause of the lawsuits they are dealing with.

  • name of the board please?

  • it be cool if ati converter would work with 64 bit os...

  • Try Cyberlink MadiaShow espresso. Works like charm on Windows 7 x64 !

  • hmm okay. just to make it clear it will take advantage of my ati 4870 yes?

  • yes it will, 4xxx seires and and 5xxx series can support ATi stream

  • i looooove ATI but i don't like AMD CPU's cause AMD motherboards and cpu's look like they are made out of spit and paper to me

  • Man, what the hell are you talking about? :S

  • My AMD X4 Phenom II BE 3.4Ghz quad-core is a amazing processor and paired with my HD 4890 it's just kickass, I think AMD and ATI know what they are doing and are only getting better.

  • @acynnon got that right bud

  • It's not like that believe me. Phenom II is a good rival to Intel's cpus and it fits old boards too. Intel change platform so often that when a new cpu is out you have to change the motherboard/memory again and again. AMD saves me money !

  • LOVE AMD ! i have used Nvidia in the past and dont get me wrong they are good very good but i just love ATi/ AMD my first PC was an AMD/ATi combo :D

I think it was a smart move AMD buying ATi

  • Hello

    CUDA !!!

    Don't get me wrong .. I love AMD <3

  • Ati stream is faster check out CyberLink Power Director tests

  • Go AMD!

  • COOOOOOL AMD <3
