Would it would be possible to make to amek a free-roam mars-city map. That would be rather nice I don't realy see the point of it now, but if someone did it would spark ideas. Have someone with a decent gaming computer to see how large you could make it without destroying your computer. I could see someone making a lrage portion of mars city to place this game on right now filled with demons, just seems like it would be cool.

if this would have been the Doom 3 game that was released, it would go pretty much un-noticed. I;m not saying it wouldn't be fun, it'd be very fun, but it wouldn't market well, it'd get lousy reviews, and it would end up close to unheard of, like the Quake games. Doom 3 was fun, and it added a story line, and expanded it's gaming audience. Doom 3 was fun. Doom 1 and Doom 2 were almost the same. I like each doom game a lot, but I don't think they went wrong with doom 3.

For me, Doom 3 was the greatest disappointment in video gaming. ID spent years making such a great 3D engine, only to fuck it up with complete darkness.

Personally I liked tha change in DooM3. It's better when a company tries something new (Fallout 3, RE4, DooM3) rather than just produce the same game over and over again (Halo, Call of duty, battlefield)

@brunobb1 exactly unfortnatly i think i can telll you what happened.. you know carmack and romero the team say that they wanted to make aliens but they didnt back then ... and stuck with doom... it seems to me that carmack made doom 3 A LOT LIKE ALIENS and kind of butchered all the doom... if you hear the imp in doom 3 it sounds like an alien . .. i think i finally figured out why all that change was made.. to me its as if carmack wanted to make aliens the game but kind of couldnt

Has anyone played Wolfenstein yet? I think a Doom mod like this would look even better on id Tech 5 engine. There's something about it that Doom 3 lacked that id Tech 5 has...something about the colors. I remember original Doom seeming sort of dark but at the same time kind of vibrant. I think id Tech 5 brings some of that back.

This mod seems pretty darn cool. Sometimes I think there is enough action in Doom 3 like there was in the other Dooms, but the plot is WAY more in depth (O yeah, so are the graphics), so, in a way, the action being different seemed to fit pretty well. :)

I like watching how you whoop all the monsters real fast and go flying through the corridors and you know where to shoot and stuff. It's action packed!
