@SupeMarioFan101 Yes you can turn into Super Sonic for all the levels. And you turn into super Sonic by getting 50 rings and pressing A while in midair

So what was the strategy in the first part of this vid (when going for the Chaos Emerald)? You kept turning most of the blue balls into rings. I don't understand the point of this, especially when going for a speed run. Anyone care to explain this to me?

Thanks! Aren't there more chaos emeralds than that though? I missed a bunch on the first level and only have 5 altogether. I know there's a bunch on later levels too. Anyone know where?

to piarasthedog: the whole game, unless you're playing sonic 3 & knuckles, then there's fourteen, but this isn't S3&K so there's 7, but you can just skip them or you can get them, and if you get them, you don't HAVE to get them in shroom hill zone, you can get them ANYWHERE in the game before hidden palace zone (The place where knuckles gets the s*** shocked out of him

@piarasthedog 7 in the whole game. If you're good enough, you can get them all in Mushroom Hill. There's at least 7 rings in MH.
