@manateepunch. Kevin was asking questions that were top questions from Digg users. This is the format he always goes by and lets Diggers vote on questions by popularity because that's what Digg is all about. You should do your homework when it comes to earnings. Both revenue and profits were up for Google in 2nd Quarter. Google is doing just fine thank you. You must be confusing them with MSFT and YHOO who's earnings were dismal and their recent deperate pact shows it.

If Digg has 39 million members, why do most popular topics only reach ~3-4 thousand diggs?

I know, but even the top stories only have between 1 and 4 thousand diggs.

For example, Michael Jackson died only got 24k. You'd think with 39 million members it'd get a helluva lot more.

Probably because a good portion of the members are people like me. I have a Digg account but never bother to login and Digg stuff. Sure I look at the articles and whatnot, but going through the trouble of clicking the "Digg" button is just too much work for me.
