  • Never ramp up a cold diesel

  • i think older powerstorkes sound better than the newer ones

  • Beautiful old IDI man. It's hard to find them in that color in such good shape!

  • sexy truck

  • nice trk i have a 250 identacial to this w a 300 i like it very much. i also own a flat bed 250 w/ the 6.9 what is your approx fuel mlg? no glow plugs on it? i observed the starting aid a little heavy.

  • the engine sounds good to me .

  • are you selling this truck? I have a 03 Dodge Laramie 2500 Cummings Turbo Diesel myself... used to drive a Similar Ford to yours. Fun Truck. Just wonderin' - Thanks - Izzy

  • are you selling this truck?

  • Maxhauler. At 160k miles it's like new. You got plenty of life left in it

  • @diesel85idi try some glow plugs either will kill that ol truck after a while nice truck

  • same tires on my F250 also. Sounds great. Just like mine which is at 160k but bone stock, no turbo. Mine needs an injection pump and injectors, radiator and a few other little details but is pretty solid. I will be doing a compression test to confirm.

  • Wow that's some high original miles! Really sweet truck. 88 F250 4x4 Lariat 7.3 IDI here. (Also a 93 Dodge Cummins.) And maybe in the next few days a 90 E350 14 foot Box Van 7.3 IDI with lift gate for a custom toyhauler.

  • 1. Either wipes off the oil on the cylinder walls, Which causes premature wear of the rings.

    2. Either get's burned before the piston reaches T.D.C

    3. Only use Either if you know your glow plugs or grid heater (depending on the manufacture) is not working, if not your engine can explode. I know that sounds a little unbelievable, but it can happen.

    4. All that should be needed is a whiff of either, anything more and you have more in depth problems.

  • Okay somethings need to be brought to light. Either used every once in a while will not destroy an engine. However, an engine can in fact get so called "hooked" on Either. If you use it every time to start a engine. you will eventually do damage.

  • Yes. It's lifted 3 inches plus it has extra leaf springs in the back. My dad special ordered the lift. Later on he put the springs under it. He has hauled 8,000 pounds of counter weight (for cranes) in the bed of it. It has 35 inch tires mounted on 16.5 wheels 11 inches wide

  • @diesel85idi holy crap 8000 pounds in the bed? how in the mess?

  • @slapoutz ya he has a crane business and we had a 60 ton crane that had removable counter weights that go on it. Since my dad added extra leaf spring in the rear it is able to haul it from job site to job site. But with 8,000 pound is a lot.

  • @diesel85idi oh ok just a little ways.. dang thats still alot.. thats like 3 economy cars lol.. i think id just use a trailer.

  • Is it lifted? Is that their normal ride height?

  • Every diesel video that I ever see on YouTube, people complain about diesel owners using ether on their older diesel engines. I find that highly amusing! Anyways awesome start-up of your 6.9 IDI with a heck of a lot of miles!

  • Ya it is a lot of mile. Runs like a top. Do u have a video of your truck

  • That's a lot of my miles I own a 93 f150 gas and it has 295.000 on it and its gas

  • Sorry buddy. U got to use either on it. It's a must

  • that is a nice F350 except you shouldn't use ether

  • Nice
