The Uncertainty Principle

Isn't the light here just bending around the edges of the slit, thus causing the light to disperse (diffraction)? What is so uncertain about this? I don't see any uncertainty here.

But if you were doing this with water, woudn't the stream widen as the slit got more narrow ?

This has nothing to deal with the uncertainty principle; it's only a diffraction effect!
