  • Hey Rob- another informative video (professionally done as usual) and I don't think I ever heard an instrumental from the Doobie Brothers! cool version of that song!!

And as always a joy watching videos from Bravosixxx!!!

    Joe

  • @ILSRWY4 Many thanks for such a kind comment Joe! I really appreciate your continued support and encouragement! Glad you liked the song! Be well my friend & God Bless!

  • @bravosixxx thanks

  • @CSXManG21 You are very welcome! Have a great night!

  • @bravosixxx would this work with HO scale also?

  • @CSXManG21 I would think so since it is just road. The cork I have on there right now is from my HO layout before I switched back to O Scale I just left it in place and made the Town scene with it. It was going to be my yard with the HO. I like the cork because it gives more of a road like appearance instead of plywood or foam board. I forget the name of the brand the cork is but I am sure your LHS will know. It is 5mm thick, 5 inches wide, and 36" long. I hope this helps.

  • @CSXManG21 The one thing that would be too big for HO would be the 1/8" car pinstriping. I think they make 1/16" pinstriping which would be perfect for HO.

  • Nice work on the layout. want did u use for the roads??

  • @CSXManG21 Hello, thanks for watcing and for the nice comment! The base for the road is 5mm cork 5"x 36" pieces laid in for the length of the scene which is 25'. I used wood glue to secure the cork and a light weight spackle to fill the seams after the glue dried. After that I primed the cork 3 times and then put 3 coats of flat black acrylic craft paint all rolled with a foam roller. To finish it off I used 1/8" automotive pinstriping for the shoulder, parking spots, & double yellow lines.

  • Rob,

I love the way you did the run-by. Such a perfect way to view the scene from street level. You certainly are progressing quickly for such a large scene. Beautiful job, man!!!! :)

    Frank

  • @subwayfx Thank you very much Frank! I always appreciate your input. It means a lot. I used my GoPro helmet cam for my quad to shoot the track level shot. This scene has sucked up the vehicles and people that is for sure..lol I finally got my last 2 buildings so that part is done. Great to hear from you! God Bless!

  • Wow, your main street scene has really come along! Impressive building collection. Thanks for the video, looking forward to your future posts!

  • @JolietZett Thank you VERY much for the kind words Zett! I hunted each and every one of those buildings down on Ebay..LOL I just recently was able to grab the last (2) to finish up the building part of Main St. I know you like steamers so if you get the chance take a look at my latest video. Thanks again & take care!
