Hey wondering if you can answer a big question; might relate to Harpender's comment too. I got a Behringer mixer and the USB input converts everything to one track on the computer. It means I have to use the knobs on the mixer to change EQ and compression. Presets are "high - 12khz", "mid - 2.5khz", "low - 80hz". Trying to get a good sound from the kit is hard (especially with no tom mics). Could you list what I should do (in general) for snare, kick and overheads with these presets? Thanks.
How do you have each mic in an individual track in logic? i use sonar LE and i got a behringer xenyx 1222usb mixer for christmas and i love it, it sounds great when i plug my guitar into it but i want to be able to mix my drummers mics digitally and have separate tracks to play with eq and add effects like what you did here. any tips?
Hi guys, loving the comment answers - you guys are awesome and show the right 'can do' mentality! The point isn't to look at this and say "I can't do it because I don't have logic" or "i can't do this because... whatever"
If you don't have a mac, use a pc. If you don't have logic, use cubase. If all else fails and you can't figure out how to get a program you can't afford, use Audacity. It sucks but it's free and it'll do the job.
this set up for the money, space cant go wrong, this tutorial is very helpful , I am using acid 7 with a aardvark direct pro lx 6 interface with only 4 ins thank you thank you CHEERS!
how did you get them to be on separate channels because I have a mixer and I wanted to know how you do so....by the way the kit and the mics sound good and you didnt EQ it yet from 0:00 to about 2:20
@Drummaboii90 if you find it out please let me know. i'm using 3 mics to record drums i would love to be able to get them on seperate tracks. thankyou

how would you mix if you have a windows lapyop or windows computer?
AngelsAndAirwavesFTW 2 months ago
@AngelsAndAirwavesFTW I use REAPER, but you could always use Pro Tools or something. REAPER is just super lightweight.
