  • You do realise that you can still use FCP 7. FCP X will improve over time. and in my opinion, FCP 7 looks outdated.

  • @Alantgv

FCP 7 is dated. Who would want to continue to use it? By this time next year everyone will have made the decision to use FCP X or jump ship.

  • @adobePC

    True.

  • Even that I sadly agree that FCP X is a fucking joke. Blu-ray is in fact dying, do to download media and DVD. DVD sells still out match Blu-ray, and most say they would download movies then buy it on Blu-ray. And most are thinking of even moving to USB sticks, or SD cards.

  • I'm just looking at the car.

  • Your argument against FCP X is that other people have raged about it and are switching to a $1,000+ piece of software? FCP X IS NOT FOR PROFESSIONALS!!!!!!!! IT'S IN A NEW CATEGORY: THE PROSUMER CATEGORY!!!!! You can not possible be so stupid to think that $400 is going to equal $1,000+ software.

Apple has vision. Their flagship editing software works on ALL Macs. There's nothing wrong; Apple made a business decision to try and capture a bigger market.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced

    Hello you retarded asshole.

Where did I stated the FCP X was a professional video editing program? I stated it is a consumer program in the video you douche bag.

The point of my video was to explain to people that FCP X at $299.99 is a consumer program. That is what my video is stating you retarded asshole. Many FCP X users are calling FCP X a professional program but not me you idiot. Comprende?

  • @adobePC You're comparing it to feature in Adobe's editing suite, dumbo lol.

The video's titled "FCP X what went wrong?" dumbo. Why, would you imply that consumer-grade software, that's well designed, "went wrong" in any way? Apple did EXACTLY what they wanted to do with it by watering down the software so more people can understand and use it. You're oblivious to your own moronic behavior.

What the fuck does it matter to you what other people call the software they purchased and enjoy?

  • @AreMacsOverpriced true. The way people are using camera technology, and editing stuff easier to use, the difference between pro and amateur is closing. FCP X works on imovie as so many people know it and they don't require retraining

It will be upgraded to pro status, even though that is not where the money is. It is in consumer grade

  • @adobePC certainly consumer now, but I think that will change in time. Time will tell

  • @AreMacsOverpriced

  • @AreMacsOverpriced exactly. These people, especially pros are too dumb to figure it out

Still, I think upgrades will come and they'll surprise us

  • @alanbstard4 They're not dumb, they just don't want people with easy to use software to match what they can do on their 5-year old UI. That's why they have to bash a $300 program when it's not supposed to compare to the high-end $1,000 software.

  • @AreMacsOverpriced lol yes I guess there is truth in that

  • @AreMacsOverpriced adobepc says FCP X is an upgrade. It's not. It different, new and designed from the ground up. I have it but will stick with Premiere pro until the FCP X becomes pro, as I believe it will

  • @alanbstard4

Watch my FCP videos you idiot. I ask is it FCP X version 10 or Apple Edit version 1? Don't miss quote me or I will own your ass!!!!!

  • @adobePC I watched it. I also listened. And good morning to you too

  • @alanbstard4

I am not sure if it is in this video or not but I do state since it is a total rewrite with new code and not realy an upgrade they should have called it Apple Edit version 1.0. The FCP users agree with that.

  • @adobePC Oh I agree, you did say that. I merely drew attention to the fact that you said it was an upgrade, but certainly later you say rewrite

We can all criticize Apple for it's method of release. They did this either they were stupid, or they wish to release it slowly to get many amateurs on board, and when Apple eventually upgrade it to pro level, many more people will buy it as they are used to FCP X and imovie

I will continue with CS5 but I sense Apple will surprise us yet

  • LOL, how sarcastic. Pr can Import FCP stuff, but FCP X can not LOL! xd

I also made the switch. The titler in Premiere is awesome.

  • @winfr34k

    The titling system rocks!

  • Yeah did you hear that Apple are selling the previous version of Final Cut for a limited time because people hated Final Cut X.

  • @illage2

I am indeed aware of that. My video is more or less stating what a major PR disaster FCP X was.

  • i like how apple dont realize that if they release this on windows there profits would instantly double on release...just saying just about everyone has a pc...but apple however are not really that smart...for example they could port so man apps to windows to make a good profit...but they wont. just a comment please no mac fanboy trolls

  • it should have been sold as the new Final Cut Express, so sad.

  • i think imovie does green and blue screen.

  • @gundambob646

It may. As I stated a simple blue screen effect does not make a program a professional program.

  • @adobePC i know that. i just wanted to mention that imovie does chromakey and that you do not need FCS 10 for that. FCS10 is in the same boat as i think it was imovie HD

  • The only cool thing about FCPX is the background rendering. That's actually a GOOD idea, render when you're not using the processor. Other than that, I feel like it is kind of designed for regular consumers. Premiere is better, hands down.

  • @PoliticalHell

Backgrounder rendering, ha ha ha ha : )

Watch my other video about FCP. No one should claim background rendering is a good thing in the year 2011. Adobe Premiere Pro along with Adobe's Media Encoder will bitch slap that shit out of Apple's background rendering.

  • @adobePC FCP x would be perfect if it was marketed as the next final cut express. It's practically unusable for professionals.

  • I really couldn't see how Apple could be serious about not importing FCP7 projects. If CS4 could... that's a totally slap in the face. No excuse.

I'm not a video editor, but if the next version of MS Office couldn't import my older files, I'm sticking to the previous version, or looking somewhere else.

  • Man O man how true this video is...Apple really dropped it big with this...the funniest thing in my opinion is that Final Cut X cannot even open it's own previous projects...and Adobe Premiere Pro can...so Premiere Pro is more compatible with Final Cut than Final Cut...what a joke! LOL Great video! Thumbs up!

  • I started using FCP X a month ago, I gotta say it's really solid. It's not that pro but it gets the job done for me. Plus its at a really good price. At least that's what I think. Great video again adobePC keep up the good work.
