I REALLY wish they would have kept the "Skill Tree" idea used in D2. By far a better "customization" for skills, and D2 still had runewords for MORE of it. That was amazing, D2 was amazing, hopefully I will enjoy D3 just as much.

from seeing electrocute, and now that you really can spam it that it doesnt cost arcane power but generates it, im wondering whether they have nerfed the amount of damage it does at a low level, it clearly will play a large part of most builds as it is still the most direct aoe style damage for both clearing groups and in pvp.

also imagine how much damage those arcane hydras are going to do on higher difficulties lol

I think when some people complain about lack of customization, they are referring to the fact that skills in Diablo III are not set in stone and up in the air. Like how it seems you can make a melee wizard get him/her to level 30 , then change him/her to an ice wizard and it will be like he/she was an ice wizard the whole game.

There is a purpose of the farther pick-up modifyer. In later diffeculties, and in co-op, on major boss fights there may be a person whose task is to pick up health globes. That modifyer would, in that case, be helpful, not the best, but not without it's usefulness.

There are a few things about the lore in Diablo 3 that don't seem to add up. Firstly, in the first game you find the Anvil of Fury, which is the anvil used in the Hell Forge, and give it to Griswold. In the second game the anvil is back at the forge in act 4, and in this game is back at Griswold's hut in Old Tristram. Also, in the first game it's stated by Griswold that Leoric uses a 2 handed sword forged by Griswold, but in this game he uses a mace. Doesn't seem to add up to me...

Do you really not get to put the skill points where you want or attribute points where you want or is that just the beta. If everyone who plays gets all the skills and has identical attribute point placement then this diablo will be boring as hell. I remember the old diablo I started a character 6 times and got all 6 to 80+ just trying to find the perfect attribute point and skill point placement. Also it doesnt look like the skills are in skill trees meaning all skills unlocked...sucks too

Why didn't Blizzard just make a new title? The story doesn't make any sense, and all but one of the classes suddenly dissapeared... When the fuck did you meet a monk in the Diablo universe? They're changing all the rules of the game that made it fun, and they are now introducing an auction house, and you can use real money to buy it! Time to use your mom and dads' credit cards! WoW employees are working on this game, and the makers of Diablo left a long time ago and are making Torchlight 2.

@thauller All of the guys and gals of the last game died off save for the Barbarian, who's the same one from D2. Monk's from the north, WD is from the jungles of act 3 of D2 (pretty sure), Wizard's from the sorcerer school that the Sorceress came from, and Demon Hunter is from the Dark Lands. While I concede they are changing some of the rules, for the most part it was the ones that were boring and mathcrafty. I personally like the changes they've made.

it gave him a bonus +25% exp but there was no cooldown/icon or the animation above his character (like it is with other shrines). Reported it as a BUG on EU forums. You can try do the same on the US one :)

Force, shrine gave you +25% exp bonus. It only show txt when u touch the shrine it doesnt actually give u a timer etc. Not sure if someone have mentioned it before just cant be bother to go through 10 pages of comments ;)

Gods! Melee Wizard, that's so hot. I played as a melee Frozen Orb/Lightning/Fire Enchant Weapon Sorc in Diablo II, even though it wasn't optimal spec, because it was /fun/. I'm so glad Blizz is giving weird gamers like myself a nod and a wink!

I think it would be more thrilling, easier to watch and easier to control if your vision of the npcs were limited to the character's field of view. The world would look the same but you would only see the monsters that your character is facing. Your character would still be able to hear the monsters behind him but they would only appear as small red audio symbols on the ground, like enemy units under the SC2 sensor tower.

there's one important thing to remember about how OP the wizard is...its just like the sorc in d2 which was crazy OP too but in Hell mode you'd run into a fair number of magic immune monsters and you were entirely helpless...just something to consider when picking a class!!!
