He began to have visions (from his past and of the Star Maps). Along the way he found out he was/is a Jedi. Later on Malak told Revan his true identity. You have the choice to go back to the Dark Side or to continue your path on the Light Side So yeah you are playing as Darth Revan himself. Pretty shocking at first lol

Palpatine was a great character though (until he revealed who he really was). Vader is still the most interesting sith I know. Maybe followed by Maul just because he looks badass.

@LordRevan1987 True, but the spire had far more weak points then the D- Series battle stations ever did, you saw how easily those orbital stabalizers failed. I admit the majority of the fleet was thrown into chaos during the reversal of the battle meditation from shan but come on, it took like five seconds of them firing before that thing flew into the sun. Which is another weakeness! You need the energy of a Star to power the thing, The death star contained it's own hyper matter reactor.

Just finished it light side... Malak was a bitch to kill in my first attempt. Then I owned by using lightsaber throw. This is definitely the best game I ever played.

Oh also, in the final battle with Malak, it's way better to be Dark Side because you can use drain life on his prisoners the same as he does, to heal yourself. If you're Light Side, all you can do is destroy their tanks so he can't use them - you get no benefit other than he has fewer ways of healing himself.
Bastila annoyed the hell out of me in this game. This is pretty much the only game where I think the story works out better if you're evil - cause if you're always evil, then Revan is always Revan and her/his mind isn't doped up. But even if Revan starts out good, how would she/he NOT turn bad once that whole mind-doping thing is revealed? I've done both endings, but the dark side is far more satisfying in this game!

mass effect is exactly the same as this game, almost. Like almost identical, even the first city of Taris reminded me of the first City of Mass Effect. Theres heaps of good rpg's this and The Witcher. Knights of the old republic was very well done and very true to George Lucas's made up universe.
i just got this game from steam, and i was so excited by al lthe good reviews its gotten, i must say though, i was overwhelmed by all the aspects in this game, i dont usually play RPGs, just a big fan boy and thought itd b fun. im deffenitly not giving up on it though :)
It is not what you have but what you do. Don't do to many buffs and relay on saber attacks when you attack him. Speed and one other when you attack light side. Dark side use lighting. Use healing packs. (Takes forever but that alone will work. By pausing-healing in between attacks and disengaging every once in a while to keep healing yourself with the force.) . After you win 1st time, attack again only after you destroy the Jedi tubes with Lighting or LS throw.
@WAXstudios no, revan is another character from the story- RevAn and Malak used to be jedi, but turned to the sith, and eventually Malak killed revan. I would recomend the first Kotor before the second.
When you are in the Star Forge and you see the ships first rising up out of the Forge there is a long path that is out of the way. Go down it and fight the 3 Sith inside. It costs 4 to hack the Forge Computer and 24 for each set of robes. You get white robes if you are Light Side and you get a outfit similar to Revens' original if you are dark side. Also you can get two Lightside robes one for Juhani if you make two (one in each bank) and pick them up same time.
is this a game where you just beat and your done? or is it open ended where you can just walk around and do whatever? i know its role playing game but once you beat it do you just beat it again or can you walk around and do nothing and just mess around for the fun of it? please someone reply quick thank you.

This is pretty much the only game where I think the story works out better if you're evil - cause if you're always evil, then Revan is always Revan and her/his mind isn't doped up. But even if Revan starts out good, how would she/he NOT turn bad once that whole mind-doping thing is revealed? I've done both endings, but the dark side is far more satisfying in this game!

Just beat this game for the third time on the light side ending (last time I played the dark side one); INCREDIBLE story line, INCREDIBLE characters, INCREDIBLE game!

Just wished they would have continued with the Revan character. I truly enjoyed the drama of having the story unfold. So fun.

mass effect is exactly the same as this game, almost. Like almost identical, even the first city of Taris reminded me of the first City of Mass Effect. Theres heaps of good rpg's this and The Witcher. Knights of the old republic was very well done and very true to George Lucas's made up universe.

i just got this game from steam, and i was so excited by al lthe good reviews its gotten, i must say though, i was overwhelmed by all the aspects in this game, i dont usually play RPGs, just a big fan boy and thought itd b fun. im deffenitly not giving up on it though :)

It is not what you have but what you do. Don't do to many buffs and relay on saber attacks when you attack him. Speed and one other when you attack light side. Dark side use lighting. Use healing packs. (Takes forever but that alone will work. By pausing-healing in between attacks and disengaging every once in a while to keep healing yourself with the force.) . After you win 1st time, attack again only after you destroy the Jedi tubes with Lighting or LS throw.

@WAXstudios no, revan is another character from the story- RevAn and Malak used to be jedi, but turned to the sith, and eventually Malak killed revan. I would recomend the first Kotor before the second.

When you are in the Star Forge and you see the ships first rising up out of the Forge there is a long path that is out of the way. Go down it and fight the 3 Sith inside. It costs 4 to hack the Forge Computer and 24 for each set of robes. You get white robes if you are Light Side and you get a outfit similar to Revens' original if you are dark side. Also you can get two Lightside robes one for Juhani if you make two (one in each bank) and pick them up same time.

is this a game where you just beat and your done? or is it open ended where you can just walk around and do whatever? i know its role playing game but once you beat it do you just beat it again or can you walk around and do nothing and just mess around for the fun of it? please someone reply quick thank you.
