@80sHitz Monteray bay aquarium does, they catch some from the bay to do research on and then lets em go. Thing is they only catch juveniles.

I went here a few years ago. The whale sharks were my second favorite thing. (Back when there were still four in the giant tank)

My first favorite part was when a bunch of kids gathered around the seal tank and the biggest seal swam up to them, face to face, and vomited all over the screen.

GA Aqarium is the biggest aquarium in the world... but the sea animals were pretty small compared to the New England Aqarium. However, I thought it was a beautiful place so........ IT EVENS OUT! =] I'm def. going to visit again when I come back to visit GA!

The biggest tank has around 6 million gallons. The building has around 8 million gallons total in all of its tanks.

Actually, no its not. I went their and the tanks were HUGE. Theirs even one that looks small. But when you look under its a series of underwater tunnels. And the Ocean Voyager exhibit ( One with the rays and fish you walk through.) The tank has a few thousand (Mabye even millions) gallons of water.

i went there in november and i just loved it. it was such a blessing. the beluga whales were so beautiful i couldn't take my eyes off of them. i had tears in my eyes. it was so soothing and it was like they knew i felt for them. they are so graceful and seem to dance with one another when they swim.

Not that I saw. They had a moving belt through the main tank that you obviously could not stay in one place for any length of time. But the other viewing areas did not have anyone shooing you away. We stayed a total of 3 hours or so, as I recall.

It's like $26 for a regular adult ticket or you can pay $65 for a year pass. That's not expensive for something that costs 100s of millions of dollars to build & millions of dollars a year to keep going. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

No $26 for one person isnt's that bad but, $26 for three people is. It's harder for families to go then individuals. Say, a husband and wife who have four kids, single mom with two, etc. I guess it all depends on the families' and individuals' financial situation. Just because one doesn't think it's experiensive don't mean another will feel the same way. But, in the sense that we only have to pay $26 for something that cost millions, your right there. That by itself, is not expensive.

ive gone at least 10 times for studies and fun and i say the best thing is the Whale Shark Tank because you can just lay and watch it all day. Its amazing! the Beluga whales are also cool.
