@mrfitness2008, well since he's been running this competition for over 11 years now there goes your first argument. Your the only one elevating Bill to deity status. He teaches weightlifting basics, thats all. His book is in the library & won't cost you a thing. Anyone who sees people getting results & gets mad about it: HAS ISSUES.
What's your problem man? All I said was to read the book which you quite obviously hadn't when you wrote that comment. Then you start bible bashing and judging me based on an unbiased comment that only a severly insecure person would be offended by. I think I know alot more about you from this situation than you know about me, friend.
I'm sure that Bill is still juicing. In light of Christian Boeving recently admitting his steroid use and his comment that, "I thought it was apparent that the top fitness models in this industry use steroids to look the way we do." I'm starting to question every fitness personality I see.
you havent commented this on almost every single one of bill phillips youtube videos. wtf does it matter? are you using his system? does his system impact your specific life in any way? are you jsut fuckin bored you have to go troll videos
Bill Phillips is a marketing genius. Teaching basic bodybuilding 101 to change peoples lives. People make fun of bodybuilders but those same principles are changing peoples lives.
I did the challenge on two different occasions for 3 months each time. The difference was amazing. I got up to lifting 30 pound dumbells in each hand and got very strong. I stopped doing it and started eating wrong again and gained the weight back but im going back on it.
i was really interested in this program i bought the book and everything a long time ago but i never got into it because i would much rather focus on my diet and cardio while lifting super heavy weights. i dont like to be rushed and not be able to do certain exercises in the gym when someone is in the way i have to skip that exercise and it will throw of the order of the program which kind of throws that whole structure of it out the window by not being able to stick and progress
Well, I have to admit, it's working for me. Three and a half weeks, 11 lbs. of flab already gone. I'll definitely give him his 12-weeks. Work outs are challenging.

body for life is a great program, but we have to be careful about following systems and a method. If we simply follow a path, we never actually learn for ourselves.
Trust me, BFL is a path that forces you to learn for yourself - more than you can ever imagine. That's why everyone who has ever completed a full 12 week challenge will tell you that as drastic as the outward changes seem the inward changes are that much more significant.
That is what this program teaches. to make better choices for yourself and to live healthy for the rest of your life. This is how we learn for ourselves.
I'm happy for people who change their lives and improve their weight. However, I think bypass is a quick fix. Doing exercise and eating well works. It's not easy and its not fast. Thats why people wimp out and take the surgery instead.
You're an idiot. exercise and eating well does work, not when your 400lbs. Sometimes when you get that big it's a lot harder to lose the weight rather than it was to gain it. If you read about GBS you'd know that.
Calling someone an idiot simply because they disagree w/ you in totally uncalled & solves nothing. I was 365lbs./24%BF at my worst, and by using BFL/EFL, I lost 5 lbs per week and am now a rock hard 295 @ 9.825%BF(I'm 6'7" tall). For me, losing the weight was easy because I had a plan which ,btw, is currently being used by the rest of my family.
What an amazing Transformation!!! Bill Phillips has helped thousands and thousands of people improve their health...including me! He has positively impacted my life in ways that I am so grateful for. Thanks, Bill.

This lady lost 400 pounds with the help of gastric bypass surgery and Bill Phillips. It's a bit misleading for Montel to get four minutes into the conversation without mentioning that; as if it were an afterthought! Congrats to the lady who lost the weight and has a new lease on life.
I wish Montell still had a show. He's a class act.

bill phillips full of shit, just eat healthy and go to the gym, there are no magic pills
korvix 11 months ago
@korvix Read the books- Bill NEVER recommends "magic" pills.
Clintbdee 8 months ago
@korvix Way to go! Discourage people! You won't get anywhere eating healthy and going to the gym. Just stick to McDonalds.

I assume you're talking about Montel's disease MS. I had no idea MS is so painful. I have incredible respect for this man.

Good balanced nutrition and regular exercise is the key. I agree with you, but that is exactly what Body for Life is. This is not a fad diet.

BFL does work if you follow the plan but I wish that had chosen to feature someone for this show who hadn't had surgical intervention.

The B4L challenge is the fucking best. It's a great jumping off point for those just starting to work out. It'll change your life.

I love his program but just don't use his energy bars or drinks; you will gain a lot of fat weight very fast.
