I just bought one of these at Lowes for $400. (I know you can get them for less but I wanted to be able to return it if I did not like it) Anyway, I am at 500 feet so the factory tune is very good for me. No four stroking at all and very quick throttle response. The videos do not do justice to the way this saw sounds. It's a great saw right out of the box. Mod it and you have a monster. A little heavy though. Hard to stop smiling when you start it for the fist time.
@warkillspeople yeah i just got the same saw for my birthday at lowes and it is freaking amazing so far in the first 30 minutes i had it me and my friend cut down 8 trees over 16 in in diameter 4 hickory and 4 red oak. one of the redoaks was about 32 in diameter.
im a stihl man all the way, i look at that saw and think damn that thing needs the muffler modded and runed a tad richer and itll cut faster, at least for stihl
You can buy a Stihl MS 390 that has 64.1 cc with a 18-25 inch bar for about $500 and it has more power than this husky but you cant go wrong either since this husky is one hell of a saw.
@babyangel3468 NOPE,,, had one at $659,, been using stihl for bout the past 6 years, in that time went thru three,,, they have power bout a shitty air fillter, just bout a husqvarna,, it has 60.1 cc bout does more work than any stihl ive used, and on a professional level, it has been recommended as the top and best use for wildland firefighter, thas my profession,, so the husky has my vote over any cheap stihl!

the 290.310,390 are all shit saws tht stihl makes......id bet tht 455 would beat the 390
cuse i took my 345 and outrun a 029 super with a new chain.............the 345s chain was dull
