P.S. Great Catch, I almost got a sword close to that size in Bimini in my uncles yacht (Line got tangled in propeller ) . But in my opinion catching tarpon in a kayak is easier.

I'm a Miami native and have seen the depletion of all fishing over 50 years. This video is sickening and a shame. I can't believe a professional captain of a charter boat would gaff a fish like this. There is no need to kill game fish. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know NOT to fish the Native Sun. This is no triumph, it's a tragedy. How much longer are people going to think the sea is inexhaustible and slaughter magnificent fish like these to hang at the dock for a picture?

Ya u cant gaff and release. I Really hate to say it (im not some save all living things person) But i wouldnt gaff a awsome fish like that. Theres really not as many of them down here since we hav all them fishing tournaments. But still an amazing catch! Keep up the great work! and ya by the way im a fishermen myself but i like the thrill of being pulled around by a nice 100lbs+ fish in a kayak then pulling a 100lbs+ fish around in a 60+ ft boat. Catch and release is not easy for swordfish, particularly if you use a gaff. + You could very well end up dead.
