good response to rearing. loved the swimming. i also had a dog that upset my horse. same story, rearing and pawing at the dog. sho, the chestnut at the end is wiiiiild! nice vid. music not that bad, hehe.

LOL. As a horsey person, I can see you were making a lot of mistakes.. but we have all made those midtakes, we just dont all get them on video! When your horse looked as though he was about to go under when swimming, i thought phew im not the only one who has nearly drowned my horse... lol!

ok advice on jumping make sure you get a good distance so your not straining your horses/ponies tendons because a long distance (far away from the jump) can put alot of stress on their legs and its not good for them so what i did to learn to get them closer to the base of the jump is to count the strides i get before the jump usually like counting down from 10 just counting gives you a better distance

@minuteandiceyhaha welcome. yeah i just give him release when rearing because when people pull in most cases they go right over.. so if i kept my hands in normal postion... it would pull on his mouth

@sugarismyhorse Actually as I said in my mail just rest your hands on his neck. I was reared with for the first time in my lessons and thats all I did was rest my hands on his neck and talk to him. You never ever want to pull thats true.

@minuteandicey umm.. yeah small rears you dont have to give them rein, but huge rears like that you MUST otherwise you will pull them over, sometimes they still fall anyway :/ depends how balanced they are - learnt from experience ;) x

@heathernorman123 hey, well :/ she is trying to break her in, Athena is the horse, she oringally came from my farm, but we;ve dcone like 4 years of ground work and even got expert advice for her :/ but nothing was working. she was then sold but the people agreed to let Nicole do daily work ( which we couldnt do because of the ranch buisness) so she was doing lots of groundowrk too and athena was doing well, so she felt she was ready for riding :/.... so i video taped her. but yeah :/
